  1. He had absolutely no chance of succeeding and it has never happened in his first game. What's sad is you keep going on and on as if Peterman was the right choice at the right t8me to start a very important winnable game. He was not. Best case scenario using Russell Wilson as the example as he had a good a debut as any rookie ever is a sub par Taylor performance (ie. 150 yards passing). Boy spme people are out of it.
  2. Not in his Rookie Season...... Never done and never been successful...... Here's the list..... Find me one successful in his first game starting his rookie season in an important game (or any game for that matter)...... http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?type=position Then find me one successful drafted after the 3rd round. I looked at Russell Wilson who could be the one maybe outlier (drafted too low due to being black and short). http://www.nfl.com/player/russellwilson/2532975/gamelogs?season=2012 His first four games would have had him benched on Buffalo....... I just looked at his College stats and didn't realize he was ninth in Heisman voting and way way better then Peterman......
  3. The idea that a Fifth Round Rookie was given the start in a game with playoff implications with the healthy starter benched because of a bad 3 quarters of football (and 9-18 was not atrocious, just lousy) defies all logic. Listening to Chuck Kosterman with Bill Simmons on The Ringer Podcast (not talking at all about The Bills) stated that because a football team plays 16 games that every game is important and you can not take a flyer (vs. Basketball in his example) is prescient. The Bills threw the game away and there are no iffs, ands or buts...... If anything, just maybe they were so embarrassed by it and upset at the Coaching Staffs stupidity that they did come out with a renewed energy (on Defense) ve. an inept KC, while the Offense was yet again stifled by Dennison doing his best to undermine the Offense and Tyrod's play. Just seeing him under center and not in shotgun told me he has no interest in getting this offense moving.
  4. He's got a good arm when asked to use it.
  5. Great analysis. Sad that the Bills are so sure of themselves when up a paltry 9 points. The thread was pointing out that opposing coaches do not prepare for the Bills to throw the ball, the line is stacked and McCoy and the running game suffers, the Bills have too many difficult downs. Then when we do have a 7-9 first down play, it is a run on second and often for no gain or a loss. Finally once inside the opponents 35 it's about running down the clock and the Bills setting up for a fg. So hard to watch this offense.
  6. Or Dennison served up on a silver platter.
  7. Get an f'ing OC who taylors the offense to Tyrod, puts offensive weapons in place and coaches to score points........ Really not that hard.
  8. Not a Taylor fanboy and don't see one person here that is. What many here think is we don't know his upside thanks to this inept coaching stff. Anyone who thought and believed that Peterman gave the Bills the best chance to win vs. LAC was delusional or lying.
  9. What you're saying 5 ints had no affect on the outcome...... Talk about clueless.
  10. I don't disagree, but boy would it be nice and I'm convinced help the team if opposing teams respected the Bills throwing the ball and scoring points.
  11. I used the benchmark of 300, because for at least 75% of the NFL the game plan includes not letting the opposing team beat you in the air throwing for 300..... Against the Bills you don't gameplan them throwing. Last time I remember was the first half vs. KC when Taylor & Watkins shredded them and then come the second half stopped.......
  12. Still complaining about a completion. Did you too complain about the pass to Clay that maybe if the DB anticipated the throw quicker would have intercepted. Yes the reason to cut Tyrod right then and there.
  13. And you don't have a single point to make, watched a single LA Rams game or actually look at the #'s. Let me guess Watson threw for 402 yards vs. Seattle but lost, so Watson stunk as he was the losing QB. Watch the Rams, Goff and actually analyse the game before you spew incorrect and misinformation.
  14. Again read the OP..... If both QB's throw for 300, then one loses. Also take a look at the losses and many were great close games. Yes some stinkers, but not too many. I won't go through them. But here you go..... http://www.footballdb.com/stats/300-yard-passing.html
  15. Yes it's a #, and one that is used as a benchmark. As long as no one fears the passing attack it affects all parts of the game. BTW I am 100% convinced that the game plan with Peterman vs. LAC was to throw for 300 yards, thus 16 pass plays (scramble & fumble included) and 9 runs in the first half.
  16. Because he's had 5 stinkers under 200 and would be benched by some people on this site.....
  17. Again what I said is game planning for 300 yards...... You certainly do when playing vs. Cam Newton Eli (with OBJ) Rodgers (Hundley almost did it vs. Pitt) Winston (injured) Watson (injured) Dalton (Capable and has in career, but problem now is he can't) Flacco (see Dalton).....
  18. And traded Watkins who was meshing with Taylor in the pre-season. Oh and then Boldin just walking out on the team, seeing they weren't serious on O.....
  19. There is no doubt the team had a problem with it..... If there was a single player happy pick after pick after pick, you are delusional. McDermott sounded like a fool how he rationalized it and did not apologize. To think they needed to see Peterman in a game, as a FIFTH ROUND ROOKIE (yes flogging a dead horse because some are so dense not to get it) with playoff implications against a team that prior to the game was 3-6 and no one took as a serious threat continues to compound the need to post responses.
  20. Forget trying to tell us that 300 yard games mean nothing when it comes to wins and losses as that is often wrong, especially when both QB's throw for 300 and teams trying to come back. I am posting as to having a QB & Offense that at the start of the game you game plan to stop them throwing for 300 yards. That is the problem with the Bills. No defensive coordinator thinks the Bills want to throw for 200, much less then 300 and basically beg them to try (and they don't). Name me a team in the league that can't throw for 300...... Browns (maybe), Jags (Bortles has), Baltimore, Denver & Chicago (Trubinsky)...... That's it...... I've been waiting for a game that the Bills try to establish the pass (first 6 weeks every NE opponent did). And when they do & if Tyrod fails miserably, then you can say "I told you so".
  21. That however was.......... A FIFTH ROUND ROOKIE
  22. I defend Taylor and am disgusted as to the coaching, the offensive playcalling by Dennison, putting Taylor in a position to not succeed, the trades tearing down the wr core of the Bills and how transparent it all is. I however too want them to draft a qb high in the first round and get the weapons needed. However those will not be in place in 2018, so you keepo Taylor, who has good contract and work at being successful on offense and putting a scheme that works. Love Dennison who seemed to open up the offense for Peterman (with disastrous results). Can't do that to a high first round draft pick in 2018......
  23. Because they played very well on defense and the playcalling on offense made the game a nailbiter. Easily should have hung another 7-10 points minimum.
  24. Anyone after the LAC game rationalizing Peterman starting and explaining 3-4 of the ints were not his fault and he showed such promise on those first 2 completions that he earned the KC start......
  25. That's just games you & I saw. Also watched a little of Baltimore and Flacco is terrible. Cam Newton had lousy stats this week too. Dak the last three weeks is lost. Blake Bortles will probably cost the Jags a chance at the Superbowl & Trubinsky playing like a rookie (though a #1, not fifth rounder). Yes it is very fair to watch and highlight plays. We are on p.15 where some are complaining about a 15 yard completion. I'll be honest I was fast forwarding the second half and didn't realize that Trent Green decided to analyze it to death as we have here. Oh yea..... Detroit, KC & Jacksonville & Chicago all lost too.
