  1. Anyone watch Trubinsky last night....... A couple of good passes and many bad ones too.....
  2. Seeing a lot of conversation as expected about his play, but that TD pass was a beauty and been a while since we've seen one zipped in like that. Again I'll be an optimist until proven otherwise as he was a high first round pick and can't afford for him to be a disaster. Would be nice if he had some receivers.
  3. He threw it as far as he could, the receiver was the only one watching the trajectory and made the adjustment, we see this over and over in the NFL on passes heaved 63 years in the air.
  4. Well he's only had 33 targets the first two weeks..... In 2016 that was 8 games of targets for Sammy Watkins......
  5. He was the #7 pick....... You give him every chance to be your franchise qb. And he isn't a fifth round pick.
  6. How about being impressed he threw it 63 yards in the air. I doubt the safety thought he had the arm to throw a tight pass that far.
  7. Seen Eli complete that over and over to OBJ...... Yep every completion was lucky. BTW Eli threw for over 100 yards the last 2 possessions and most were check downs to RB's......
  8. Don't remind me...... Oh and offense is no big deal according to McDermott.....
  9. Really???? I guess I was wearing rose coloured glasses as it was not Peterman, wasn't embarrassing and over 200 yards passing....... Compare this to Goff in 2016 when he finally started in November..... http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/3046779/jared-goff
  10. I've been beaten into submission by just how bad this team is over the years. 245 yards passing had me happy.
  11. In 2017 the Bills had 3 games with more passing yards...... The Bills have no receivers and we are trotting out a rookie. So after a decade of the Bills refusing to play Football the way it is being played by the majority of NFL teams (i.e. with a passing game), 245 seems like 350+ to me..... An easy comparison is Jared Goff and the putrid rookie campaign he put up and now with weapons and coaching that emphasizes the Offense is looking pretty good. I for one was okay with what I saw and hope that there continues to be progression (though concerned with the schedule). My biggest fear is an injury and the Peterman fans return on mass....
  12. The guy's a rookie, probably has made mistakes today, but on every play Steve points out what he did wrong, who he missed and lack of recognition...... Does he want back in the league as a QB???? Sheez.......
  13. Who is the colour guy denigrating every play Allen makes...... Allen is not perfect but even complaining on receptions???? Sheez...
  14. He was a 5th round pick and the Bills went all in on Allen trading up and he is the Bills future (or so we hope). They get another very iffy QB in AJ McCarron and jettison him him before the end of the pre-season. Then they start Peterman week 1 and he put up a 0 QBR, no first downs and 5 net yards (8 on the last play of the half). Pretty obvious McDermott had some kind of hard on for him as we saw last year and tried to clear the path for him this year and it failed all in one half of football. If Peterman has 4 years experience on the roster and a high pick, with a few starts and some play, sure maybe it made some sense, but one just has to wonder what the thought process was. As bad as Peterman was, I also think a combination of this Sunday being the home opener, the opponent being Los Angeles and visions of Peterman's last game vs. them and Darnold's play on Monday night was the last nail in the coffin. Now just hope that Allen is at least somewhat competent (regardless he is the future) and is not injured and that the Bills sign another QB.
  15. I hate exciting offences. 180 yards passing and praying for 13-10 games. Can hardly wait. Trust the process.
  16. Again missing the point. The Bills gave away Watkins and you are hoping that a second round pick and injured rental was fair value. They too could have paid him. Yes I missed Watkins as a Bill last year and hated the putrid offence. That was the rookie contract and probably the reason the rules were changed.
  17. $16,000,00/yr.... You pegged him at what $8,000,000. Market value was $16,000,000. Again the point of the thread was a big f u to those saying $10,000,000 was preposterous. Go back to your "Draft Board" and planning for 2025.
  18. Shhhhh..... Some people here were disappointed with the playoffs as it cost the Bills position in the draft and set the franchise further back. The idea to pay market value for marquee positions is upsetting to some. The idea of 300 yard passing games and excitement on the offensive side of the ball is anethma to many here. a stout defense & 13-10 wins is their idea of success.
  19. And exactly what should the Bills pay for TALENT? Amazing that people here are patting themselves and management on the back for not paying a player the market price? How about if Buffalo tied up Watkins last year at a cap friendly price or franchised him? Again a bunch of fanboys getting excited over the draft and not what happens on the field....... Let's go 2025 Bills!!!!!!
  20. Damn right....... I was the first and was told I was dead wrong and had nop idea what I was talking about. Now TBD is calling the trade to Rams a success, because a receiver get's paid????? What backwards thinking is that? You pay for talent and could have had Watkins last year and tied him up at a better price if the Management staff did think it through. Now is the thought process for the Bills to draft a QB and put no weapons around him?
  21. $16,000,000/yr...... Said I'd return to post...... Now the Bills know the market value and excited about a new QB..... Outta here.....
  22. Pretty much bang on...... My only query was there were a few plays where the Jacksonville receivers seemed upset and they did not show a replay and heck the only holding call was declined (Bortles was sacked). Interesting on a side note that Bortles got no rushing yards, yet ran free vs. Buffalo.......
  23. The calls made against Jacksonville were correct in every case (heck the fumble could have been overturned imo)........ The issue however is non-calls. There were very few replays of close calls (outside the 4th down play by Gilmore, which was not a penalty). There were a # of plays where calls could have been made and yes never seen a Pat get a holding call......
  24. I don't know why they thought 20 points was enough. NE's D was not particularly good and many were simple short passes (a few nicer one's too). Yes it was almost as if I was watching Dennison & McDermott.......
