Why wasn't Duke Williams active?
Billsfan1972 replied to HailMary's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here you go..... https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/stats?season=2019&week=100&category=RECEIVING&opp=0&sort=10&qualified=1&sortOrder=0 Second in the league...... 26 receptions & 9 drops!!!!!! Wow that is bad. Add to that Beasley, Brown & Singletary with 4 apiece!!!!! Duke catches balls & is a BIG Target. At least he would make a better target then Foster or Mackenzie. -
Since Stallion's thread where Daboll tries to blame Allen that was locked I tried to find a thread where I could post. Daboll when Allen is playing well (usually 3-4 drives a game since the Bills offense usually maxes out at 24 points) looks like he is doing the job. Now when the offense stalls he is throwing Allen under the bus. Against the Ravens there was pressure all game & Allen was hit consistently & Daboll did nothing to alleviate the pressure. Again few quick hits, play action, slants, crossing patterns and simple 6 yard throws. The team still is incapable of throwing for 300, which is commonplace in the NFL unless a Bills fan. 24 points is considered a high scoring explosion of offense. Yet some here laud Daboll & his innovative schemes?

Revisiting my Allen scouting report
Billsfan1972 replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly the points I'm making. Progress could be quicker if McD didn't think every game should be 17-13 and Daboll is clueless when it comes to rhythm and the first two drives with strong winds & gusts showed that. -
Revisiting my Allen scouting report

Actually the issue as usual is when we have a bad performance, the knives are out. I on the other hand will blame Daboll and bad play calling & what I think has been slow development based on passing stats that have the Bills in the bottom half of the league in terms of passing in general. Take the first few drives vs. Baltimore in a stiff wind (at your back). This is when you work the controlled passing game & move the chains & of course they come out telegraph a run (1 yard), another obvious run for 5 & then a missed deep ball (where the wind will affect the throw). Get a few first downs!!! He has been very good over the middle & mid range passes and can can throw it on a line. Everyone seems obsessed with the long ball, but few talk about Beasley dropping a beauty & that pass to Knox that was like velcro caught in stride right in his hand. Get into a flow, which Daboll did not do, receivers often not open and ridiculous pressure all game. And can this team execute a decent screen???? -
It's always on Daboll. Uncreative, no adjustments to the blitz, every run telegraphed, nothing over the middle, continual home run shots instead of some easy throws. It was obvious from the first series they were in trouble and did not improve throughout the game. Review the play by play and relive the nightmare. https://www.espn.com/nfl/playbyplay?gameId=401127868

Josh Allen - week FOURTEEN report card

Still was a drop & crucial as it was a TD!!!! A great pass & would have been a very good catch (something he is paid to do). -

They showed one replay & I saw it hit him in the chest..... Erased the game in disgust. -

Again Daboll, Daboll, Daboll..... Allen was not good, but Daboll was so obvious.... Strong wind & every play was telegraphed. Bad drops & too often put in a bad position. This team can't throw a screen or slant to save their lives & Allen under ridiculous pressure. They only showed one replay but Mackenzie dropped a great pass that would have been a TD. I have it a C -
The PI on Beasley was a no brainer called every time (he was breaking free, interfered & tripped). No idea why that is being questions.
-
It hit him in the chest and was a great pass. Not a drop, but it was right there.

Offense is not this team's primary concern. It is very evident. -

The Mackenzie one was right between the #'s and really not discussed. That was 7 points and thus a FG would have tied the game. -
This was an excellent EXCELLENT Game!

That is PI every single time (unless a NE DB doing it?). -
Thought the same thing....

Defenses were great and a ton of mistakes too.... -

And this is as expected from a Bills fan who hasn't seen a great game in years..... New Orleans SF was an EXCELLENT GAME!!!!! This was not..... -
Dropped TD by MacKenzie. I didn't see the Brown pass deflected.
-
And the last pass to Brown also appeared to be a drop.
-
Seattle & then won the wildcard game.... A joke...
-
Actually it probably is. When you think you beat a good team, you feel damn good. Now however I look at the Dallas win on par with with Miami..... The Bills still only have one win over the .500 team (Tennessee, which we can thank Ryan Tannehill's resurgence for that?).
-
Again exactly right, but again if Dallas responded & beat Chicago and Trubisky looked bad, I'd be much more positive. Just human nature.

Who will conquer the wind this Sunday?
Billsfan1972 replied to Stallions's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At least no rain. -
It is just a reaction to the Cowboys. Cowboys beat Detroit & tough games against NE. Sorry but both the Bills & Bears dominated them, so the immediate reaction is they really have given up (or just plain bad). If they had beaten the Bears convincingly,, yes would make most people feel way better. The way they lost, sorry does take shine off the Bills win.

And almost all in the last 17 minutes. He had well under 100 going into the last drive of the third quarter. He threw for 262 the last 17 minutes..... Conversely vs. the Bills they were moving the ball the whole game.
