You just won't stop (and many here brainwashed just as you are). 300 yards is not a terrible thing to aspire to (or really that difficult to achieve). Actually the Bills are similar to Seattle (another of my favorite teams) who while playing a much tougher schedule have won a # of games by the skin of their teeth & Carroll too at times have been way too conservative (even with Wilson at QB). Vs Carolina Sunday was a perfect example, as they did whatever they wanted to early & then went into a shell. My concern with them too is that it is not sustainable & being conservative doesn't do it in the long run. Actually pretty sad that it is only twice in 20 years..... My concern is that they have put all their eggs in one basket and frankly I have higher expectations from this offense, but have no idea as to their potential because of how they are coached & the conservative nature.

Let's be honest, we are Bills' fans, they are not EXCITING...... They have a great defense, that is more bend then break vs. smothering. Their offense is like watching paint dry with their emphasis on field position & minimize mistakes. I want more then anything for them to be exciting.

Boy seeing a QB throw for 300 yards is so boring & unappealing..... -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - December Football

Explain the Cleveland game then? Same scenario, however a TD and you lose, a second year QB too. They gave Pitt 2 chances to tie the game and did win but were too conservative imo. As for Josh, he had multiple Int games vs. the Jets & Pats & to keep saying he is making bad decisions, throwing into coverage or high is again feeding a narrative that is wrong. The Bills won, but imo were again way too conservative. BTW watch NO yesterday? Sure looked like passing & 300 yards is fun to me. -

Again the Bills won & I guess we can't argue with the result, but this conservative cr$p is definitely an issue. The Bills gave Pitt multiple chances to get back in the game & if not for a stupid fumble & the second Tre int who knows what could have happened. Yes the Bills have had a rabbit's foot all year as there have been bad decisions made that cost them the Brown's (maybe the Baltimore) game too. Remember the Browns where they relied on the Defense and Cleveland went 87 yards to win? Last week Beasley get's tripped up and a PI call on fourth down. How many times do we see late game holding or PI calls. I'm thrilled they won, but sorry do not agree with McD's game management. And yes (before you sau McD was aggressive) they had no choice but go for it on 4th down in first as Haus was not kicking a 52 yard FG. -
Josh Allen - week FIFTEEN report card

Again wishful thinking. 2:00 minutes for go first half & 3 timeouts & they were downright giddy when they got the first down and could go to the locker room up 7-3. If they were so confident playing Duck, why didn't they try & score points prior to the half? Because that's McD playing for a low scoring game. -

And what has McD done in 47 games that makes you think otherwise? They were ready to milk a 7-3 lead (as we saw at the end of the first half yesterday). -
We get it...... Embarrassing nonetheless regardless of what you say..... Watching the game it seemed that the Bills played the entire game with the goal of scoring 17 points... I don't like it & concerned that come playoff time or 2020 when they need to score 30 points (as in the Philly/Cle/Balt) game they can't. 5 games under 200 yards passing. Sorry want to see more and know they can.

I just wanted to post the Sally Field GIF for a while!!!!!?? Missing the sarcasm....... BTW 47 games & counting for those keeping stats......??

Until the Bills do it (though now the high water mark is 200?) consistently.

Geez how many more posts do we need explaining "They like us, they really like us!!"

That's the point.... The McDermott truthers are saying the reason we were so conservative is because we knew Pittsburgh couldn't score (i.e. giving them two possessions at the end of the game), but then not acknowledging that if not scared, then see what the offense can do against a great defense. No win arguments.
-
And also if a receiver short arms a ball (like Brown did) it is not a drop or the third down to Beasley that was a perfect throw but Beasley had to reach for it.
-
And the celebration after getting the first down!!!! Funny all those posters saying conservative is the right p[lay as Hodges can't hurt the Bills, when the Bills practically did kneeldowns the last two drives of the game, will talk out of both sides of their mouths going into the half up 7-3, saying we should protect the lead, whereas if the Bills tried to move the ball, would have bemoaned the same thing if the Bills threw the ball, had to punt & then complained giving the ball back. The team hates being on offense. Maybe they can petition the league not to have to play offense & that the NFL just give them 17 points & let the opposition have the ball for 30 minutes to see if they can score more...... ??

On Daboll, not Allen. A terribly called game again. Allen was fine, however a few bad throws. But again we no longer want to see 300 yards, but 200 now is becoming a tough bar to reach..... Funny only QB who threw for less yesterday was Brady -

I got it, but those last two drives, where the Bills just gave it back to Pitt, without even trying for a first down was hard to stomach. It also seemed they seldom threw it downfield. Thankfully Duck was just terrible. As easy interceptions as anyone could throw. -
Yes.... But has been updated & the Bills have played 14 games, which is what i was checking. I thought Brown dropped one (short armed it).

I talk to fans not on this site, and all shake their heads at how conservative this team is & the refusal to ram the ball down opponents throats. But I guess we're not fans for thinking that? Again seemed to be setting up for dinks & dunks & geez 260 yards offense and excuses again. I expect & want more. -
As expected, no drops week 14..... I counted at least two (Beasley & Brown on Third downs)......

How scared is the offense playing?
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a board where one can express their opinion. The Offense is a huge bone of contention. Am I supposed to only sing their praises? I find moving the ball on offense, 30+ poinbts & 300 yards passing exciting. My favorite teams to watch (outside the Bills) are NO, Seattle, KC & any team that puts offense first. -

Do not question the Bills, especially after a win. Kumbaya....
