  1. Everything has aligned & the Bills won the games they should have, were competitive week after week. However they also put no teams away, have no killer instinct & continued to rely too much on McD's bread & butter, the Defense. Yes we're Bills fans, but need to acknowledge offensively they are pretty much like watching paint dry week to week. Yes I know they are lousy teams (all of whom the Bills played this season), but look at yesterday's Mia vs. Cincy & Wash vs. NYG game for exciting Offense..... BTW the Jets beat Pitt, who again we considered a "Signature" win.
  2. So tell me oldmanfan is there a wr they can sign & reasons why they want to play in Buffalo with a team that never throws for 300 yards? And we know if a wr is drafted, we'll know that there is a learning curve & they can't be a star out of the gate. Should I expect more?
  3. I hope to be eating my words...... But they are not paying for a top-tier WR & I'd question why one would want to sign here seeing the offensive philosophy of the team. Top WR's are usually drafted & grow with the team that drafted them. Just think all those Bills fans who excuse the offense now explaining that the rookie (if we draft one) is 1-2 years away & the process is now into year 5 or 6....... ?
  4. Have to be aggressive, show motion, play action, quicker tempo, throw screens, slants & short passes & keep the other team off balance. As said all things the Bills don't do & thus stuck in a rut.
  5. Always an excuse for the offense. Look around the NFL. Anyone see what Philadelphia did with the lead & Dallas able to call three time outs & get the ball back if they did not get a first down? They threw it, got the first down & ran it out. This offense does not play fearless & this is a reflection of the coaching. The only game they scored over 30 was vs. Miami (yes they did it twice, but the first was returning an onside kick in the last minute for a TD).
  6. And you blame the Qb..... Always his fault. Please tell me how good the play calling is in your estimations?
  7. SF went 3-13 last year & are 12-3 this year with a much harder schedule. So tired of people so enamoured with this team..... They are 25-22 under McD & were 24-24 prior three years..... I'm a fan & always will be but yes expect more. Next year will be a much harder year, with a tougher schedule (NFC West), so will be interesting to see what happens.
  8. They were not in fg range (haus on a cold night from 52 was not making it) at the time & Josh made a great read & great pass. An incompletion & still needed at least another 5-10 yards and plenty of time.
  9. How do you know????? Because McD coined the phrase "Process"..... Seems a lot here love the word Process from a coach who took over a team that went 24-24 the three years prior to him & is 25-22 with him as coach......
  10. The same that was said in 2017..... It's always wait one more year.... BTW how did that work for Jacksonville that was one play from the SB in 2017 & now a mess????? Play for today
  11. And always the same excuse..... They could have spent more on the offense & brought in a large receiver/target or done something/anything..... We can blame it on the Process......?
  12. Shhhhhh!!!! Quit talking logic.... Oh & they have been none of the worst offenses in football since November......
  13. BTW I've not seen a replay, but was Allen really short or again did the refs give the Patriots a generous spot?
  14. Trubisky carved up the Dallas D, which has feasted on an easy schedule too (they did show up last week mind you).
  15. No excuse for three straight weeks.... Others are able to amass yards vs. NE, Pitt & Balt......
  16. Three straight weeks & 17 points.... Can say whatever he wants, but this team only scores over 17 by accident. Three straight games < 300 yards (total). Maybe I should get off the 300 yard passing thread & ask for 300 yards in total Offense!!!!? Last week vs. Pitt they turtled prior to the half up 7-3 and gave the ball back twice to Pitt in the fourth by running up the middle. The first series vs. NE already in fg range they ran 5 straight plays & then finally throw the ball on a 3rd & long where there is no choice. Watch NE mix up plays, easy check downs, screens & a clean pocket almost the entire game (and a their offense has been one of the worst since November). The Bills threw it 25 times yesterday (9 in the last drive). They came out & set the tone in the first half and then after going up 17-13 & forcing a 3 & out, ran the ball three straight times giving the Patriots the ball back. The offense is so uninspiring, so little creativity & a coach that can say all he wants, but in reality wants no turnovers & to play the game close to the vest & between the 20's.
  17. QB's miss passes all game, every game..... Brady yesterday was accurate for the first time in weeks due to the Defense giving him too much time & respect. However when you throw only 25 times (9 in the last drive) the misses look worse. Add to that little to no time to throw because often in bad position & throwing dons it looks worse. So difficult to watch week after week.
  18. Exactly what I thought...... Oh & how about a big body & target to throw to in these situations. Again I think of Duke WIlliams TD's (regular & pre-season) & how simple the plays were. That first down play doomed them. And again no screens or short passes out of the gate to get into a rhythm.... Everyone knows a run is coming on first down & always between the tackles. Infuriating to watch.
  19. At least many here on TBD..... Make no mistakes, score 17 and let the D do the rest....... All week we heard how smart they were doing that vs. Pitt...... And that's exactly how they played the following series up 17-13..... Three straight run plays & a punt....... Then at 17-16 again a 1 yard run on first down to put them in a hole.....
  20. No the point was that NE's D knew almost every play the Bills were running & Allen was in trouble or a 2 yard run. Meanwhile NE was prepared for the Bills D......
  21. The Bills scored what McD wants.... They reached 17 & had a lead..... This is pretty much the same story over & over...... 17 Cleveland, Pitt, Baltimore & NE..... And forget trying to score more.
  22. McD & Daboll are thrilled, the Bills scored their expected 17..... Same thing all year. The first drive set the tone...... Run the ball and get those 3 points...... How come the Bills D did nothing to confuse Brady...... Again it is Daboll & the fact the opposition knew what was coming.
  23. Well we scored our usual 17..... The defense however allowed 24.... It all started after the fumble recovery & deciding to run the ball & settle for 3.....
  24. And Dan hit the nail on the head (as wrong as he was about Allen & the 4th quarter)..... No one is turning on the Bills (outside their & the opponents fans) Sunday @ 1:00 pm when there are 8 games to see a 17-16 game..... BTW opposite the Baltimore game was a yawner NO vs. SF, which we know would have upset McD & his disciples here.....
  25. So are you telling me that Kyle Shanahan is a better coach then McD since he turned them around immediately & has a great D too? How about McVay & how quick he turned the Rams around & made the SB? Garoppolo is 4-1 throwing under 200 yards & almost all were 14+ point wins..... They too averaged 27.8 points in those games with 3 over 30, a 9-0 win in what was considered just terrible weather & the loss in rain to Baltimore. Allen is 3-3 (though NE shouldn't count) & the wins were by 17, 15 & 7 & they averaged 18.2 points in the other 5..... Should I continue?
