  1. I'd be thrilled that the Offense has not slowed down one bit all season. I'd be however very concerned about the Defense, that has been a hot mess since day 1. There is a difference vs. the Bills #3 ranked 2019 defense being lousy and somehow the Offense that was top 4 weeks 1-4, nowq is regressing.
  2. And half the replies again have not answered the question. Based on the Personnel, are the Bills an above average Football team? This was a top 3 defense in 2019 and now looks terrible, and the Offense was top 5 weeks 1-4 and now looks suspect.
  3. I don't say the sky is falling & never have. What I do question and have many times is McD's coaching and asking why can't we bury some opponents. A sad note the Jets are 0-8. Outside a competitive game vs. Denver (lost by 9), their two closest games were vs. The Bills
  4. Thank you for an actual answer......😉 Most seem just to point to the W/L and go 6-2!!!
  5. Asking for opinions and explaining the dichotomy we see how people responded to yesterday's game. If the Bills are a mediocre team talent wise, that was a greta victory. As a vastly superior team to the Pats, it was a disappointing performance (and forget it was the Pats and that the Bills were playing a battered reeling 2-4 team instead).
  6. At least we can agree on something......
  7. I think they are a very good team. That is what I saw from the offense weeks 1-4. I expected improvement on the D. This is exactly why I (and others) post what I do, because I think this is the Bills year to go 11-5 (or 12-4). But maybe I'm not right & this is an average team playing above their heads and the coaching staff doing a great job and maximizing their potential. Seems anytime people post expecting more, they are drowned out by 6-2 and that they've met or exceeded expectations. BTW I'd much rather be right about them being a very good teram, then coaching being responsible for taking an again average to below average team to a better record then their personal befits.
  8. They didn't need to throw the second half (6 passes).... Threw for 277 vs. NE. So then you're saying that SF ran for more yards against a stacked box too..... Sucking & Blowing at the same time...... Geez. How about a convincing win at home against an inferior opponent?
  9. Seattle & Arizona are terrible defensively. No reason outside McD that Josh shouldn't have 300+ vs both (and 30+ points).
  10. Other teams seem to be able to throw. Heck the week beore the 49'ers did (and ran too) vs. the Pats. A balance is fine and that usually means more passing yards. Typical excuses and crediting BB, istead of questioning McD. The Bills should have won by 10+.
  11. Always been his favorite...... BTW teams are also afaid of Mahomes passing, Rodgers, Brees, Wilson, Dak, Brady....... So what, you have a stud and receivers that can overcome it? Great back to 175 yard passing games?
  12. Let's blow out one vastly inferior opponent and then we can talk. How about a convincing victory over a good team (i.e. Tenn over us)..... I think the Bills are a good team. Maybe I'm wrong about that & 10-6 and squeaking out victories over NE & keeping it close against good teams is the most I should expect?
  13. Thought the same. However if Cam doesn't fumble & they score a TD, can only imagine what today would be like here. Just once I'd have liked to have seen a cakewalk, but that is not in McD's DNA. He coached again not to lose.
  14. The difference is that as a Bills fan, I have the Bills winning both games and the Offense putting up huge #'s (forecast is high 60's for Sunday). I hope against hope that McD coaches to score 40 & I can come here & applaud him. However I too will not be surprised if he coaches thinking 20 points will be enough. And another false excuse.... We hear this as an excuse too often.
  15. The funny thing is that I'm probably a bigger Bills fan then most here (yes hyperbole). I've suffered through mostly downs since '72. The point is I do not see the Bills through rose coloured glasses & yesterday they were not that impressive. Impressive is Indy beating an inferior team like the Lions yesterday. Seattle finally pounding a good team 49'ers, as opposed to squeaking by (as they had done the first 5 wins).
  16. Anytime the much, much better team struggles to win a game that comes down to the last second, you were outcoached. If the Bills were playing any other team with a 2-4 record yesterday not named the NE Pats (missing their #1 receiver & DPOY), the point spread probably would have been Bills +7. But yes I thank Belichek for the on-side kick, which probably was the saving grace yesterday.
  17. Wow we recovered an onside kick. McD Coach of the Year!!!!!!😜 We get it the Bills won & I'm happy with a 6-2 record. Not happy how they've got there.
  18. When playing a team as wounded & weak in every aspect of the game as the Pats were yesterday, and the game decided by a last minute fumpble when the Pats were at the Bill 20, then yes it is the coaching. The Pats on top of everything were also missing their best receiver Edelman & the DPOY Gilmore.
  19. Here is the boxscore I wanted to see!!! Note they ran & threw for more then the Bills did. https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=401220136 I love the narrative on many of these threads. If you are not bringing your Pom Poms & cheering the Bills beating the Pats, then leave. The Bills won, check.... Did they play well? Maybe rushing, but overall no. This seems to be a weekly issue.
  20. They ran the ball well... That's the extent of the positives imo. They squeaked by a much inferior team and again did not show their full potential. Have the Bills played a complete game yet (closest was Raiders)?
  21. The Bills won and yep 6-2..... However to not see the issues with this team (particularly coaching) plays into the definition of Fandom. I'm a huge Bills fan and want to see them play to their potential, and I don't see that. They barley hung on to beat a decimated NE team at home.
  22. It's a fair review, but again this "building" crap needs to stop. Will it stop only when they win the SB? We saw tremendous growth in Allen weeks 1-4 and now again he appears neutered by the the offense. Seems teams have again figured out Dabol, or he doesn't adapt. Always the same cliches trotted out about division games. This was a wounded NE team, the weather actually much better then forecast and took a TO in the last 30 seconds to win. This was a game I wanted to see the Bills win by 2 TDs. Yes we are Bills fans, but I do not see growth yet again this year. The Offense has regressed after being near the top and the Defense still is not very good. Oh & Tennessee lost to Cincy, the Jets who too had the ball with a chance to tie the game in the last two minutes lost by 26, Rams (the Bills best win dominated by the resurgent Phins)...... But I'll take 6-2....
  23. Because I was turning the corner on McD. He is an okay coach, justy haven't seen him turn the corner. The post above also stated 2 playoff appearences in 3 years. Again not great records andwas acheived playing some of the easiest schedules in the NFL and 2 losses in WC games, that were winnable (oh & blowing a 16-0 third quaretr lead too in one of them). Offense were rated 30,29 & 24th those years. After 4 weeks this year the Bills were near the top & have been much worse since.
  24. Again 2107-19 25-23 is not exactly lighting the league on fire.
  25. The Bills played a wounded team, missing their best offensive player Edelman and best Defensive player Gilmore. A team that lost it's last two games at home scoring all of 18 points. The Bills were lucky (yes a TO there is a flukish play) to get a last minute fumble to secure the win. McD coached as many of us are used to seeing (while others see something different), scared, too close to the vest and the inability to put away a vastly inferior opponent. The first four weeks the Offense had turned the corner and there was a buzz about this team. The last four is meh at best and back to looking much like McD coached teams 2017-19. Allen had 18 passes (and really the weather was not that bad). NE traded punch for punch against a Bills team that on paper should have won by 2 TD's. But should anyone here question McD & the Process, well let's just not go there......😡
