  1. Refs were atrocious today, for both teams. Several holding calls on Broncos not called. T White had both arms around Thomas running down field, extremely blatant hold not called. Mystery hold called on Richie. PI on T White called was just good defense. Call on Vonn was a strange one although while I agree with it, I doubt that's called by other refs especially in such a crucial situation. Just not a good day for this crew
  2. Wasn't very confident in him after first two games but he's as big a part of this win as anyone
  3. Thought Gaines was our best player on D today. Was all over the field and broke up several passes.
  4. Refs big time favoring Denver, blatant hold on Preston Brown for that TD run. Game changing calls
  5. How so? Rex screwed up our D and we turned that around immediately. Now we have a problem on offense, and that has nothin to do with Rex, more like a bad O coordinator that's changed the scheme of a top 10 offense and #1 rushing. How does that have anything to do with Rex?
  6. Yeah let's leave VM one on one with our rookie. It's been awful coaching that has lead to this draught. There's been talent on the field over the 17 years
  7. I hear ya, and hope we start clicking as well in the new scheme. However, it still doesn't excuse changing a scheme when you've been #1 in the league 2 straight years. Period! Now we're hoping something works opposed to something that was proven to be great. Just let that sink in. It's ludicrous! I wish someone in the media would ask McD or Rico what their thought process is to change up a huge strength of this team.
  8. Agree, but you also need a scheme that plays to the strength of the players, and I don't think the zone blocking plays to the strength of our O line. We had a blueprint from the last few years on why we were able to run the ball so well. Richie is a helluva pulling guard! Why in the world someone would come in and completely change what's worked with the run game (#1 in league two straight years) just blows my mind.
  9. Top 10 scoring offense, and we did it with injuries all year at WR. I don't care who we played, we put up enough points to win 10 games and the defense flat out sucked. Now we have a new O coordinator coming in that is fitting a square peg into round hole scheme wise, just like Rex did.
  10. Bottom line is the Bills have had the on-field talent over the draught to make the playoffs a handful of times. This team has been mismanaged by the front office and head scratching head coaching/GM hires. We've had really good offenses and bad defense, good D and bad O, but haven't been able to put it all together. Rex had the talent to be a playoff team but ruined the D with a scheme that didn't fit the players. It's shaping up to look like Rico is doing something very similar with the O. It blows my mind a coach would change the blocking scheme on a team that's had the #1 rushing offense 2 years in a row, but i ultimately blame the front offense for the hires as they knew this before hiring Rico.
  11. Coaching in the NFL IMO is underrated. If Luke knew what we were running every play, RICO didn't do his job. Sure, opposing teams will know some plays because you can't just change the whole playbook every week, but RICO did nothing to change things up and keep their defense off balance. It still blows my mind that a coach was allowed to come into an organization that's lead the NFL in rushing for 2 straight seasons and change the scheme. How do you review tape from this team last year, watch Richie pulling/getting out in space opening huge holes and say, hmmm, I think we need to change this to zone blocking!!!
  12. Remember all the movement we had in Roman's offense? This is what drives me nuts: we had a top 5 defense, and we hire Rex who comes in a completely changes a proven scheme and ruins it. Then, we have a top 10 scoring offense with the #1 rushing attack in the league, and Rico comes in with the zone scheme. Blows my mind how these coaches are so set in their ways with schemes and insist on changing things up when it's been successful in the past.
  13. Some people say coaching is overrated, I feel it's underrated. To me Dennison shares a big portion of the blame for a terrible game plan, play calling, no creativity, etc. Panthers have a very good defense, but we should of been able to put up 10-14 points easily with more creativity on offense. Thanks Rico!!!!
  14. There's gotta be a WR out there that can pose as a deep threat
  15. We have a top 5 defense and we hire Rex Ryan to come in who we know will completely change the scheme. We have a top 10 scoring offense and #1 overall rush attack, but let's bring in a guy who we know will completely change that scheme. Blows my mind, it's no wonder we have the longest playoff draught in sports. How do you let coaches come in and change what has been the teams success in the past?
  16. Pretty sad watching the rapid decline of this guy as a player. He's gone from the most important piece on the D to being almost irrelevant. I think the guy has some mental issues, and football just isn't that important to him anymore. Maybe I'm wrong but he just doesn't seem happy.
  17. What's frustrating to me is we've had great defenses, and we get a new coach who changes the scheme (I.e Rex). We have a top 10 offense, and we get a new coach and they change the scheme. Why can't these coaches see what has worked in the past specific to personnel and leave it alone!!!
  18. Yes, the D played well and definitely good enough to win with an average offensive effort. But the D did give up some long drives and couldn't get off the field on 3rd down (including some 3rd and long). That opening drive set the tone for the game, taking off almost 7 minutes and putting pressure on the offense. It happened on more than one occasion where it was crucial to put a drive together and give the D a rest because of a long sustained drive by the Panthers. While we only gave up 9 points, our offense often times had very poor field position. We lost both time of possession and field position in a big way. Again, the defense did their job and the offense was horrific, but that Carolina D was kept fresh, their offense flipped field position for the D and we couldn't get out of it.
  19. Not sure what games you're watching but he has been very inconsistent. Week 1 I think he averaged 36 yards. Yesterday he had a great game. Last year he had some horrible games and cost us valuable field position.
  20. Denver has a big home field advantage with crowd noise and altitude, especially early in the season. They won't be as dominant on the road and this will be their first road game. Still think they are the better team right now and should win, but see this as another close game. Early prediction: Denver 21 Bills 17
  21. Anyone know where I can see this play? I missed the 2nd half and would love to see it. Was hoping it would be on Bills site but not as of yet
  22. The "I'm proud of this team, they played hard" is going to get really old from couch McD.
  23. One of the worst offensive performances in a long time, execution and game plan wise. Could care less if we were playing a good defense, 3 points is just inexcusable. A shame to waste such a good defensive effort. Hope they get it corrected, and maybe take some shots down the field instead of hoping to stay close and squeak out a close one.
