Jordan Gay: Can't even kick in end zone anymore and it's his only job Carpenter: Can't make extra point Boobie: Good guy but useless on the field Crossman ST Coordinator: Worst it's been in years Thurman: He should be the fall guy even tho it's Rex's D,but I have a hard time believing Rex would fire him

I actually think Tyrod is more a leader by example and in the locker room behind closed doors. There is a quite confidence about him. If you're looking for a fiery rah rah type then that's just not him. He very much resembles Joe Flaco, and I'm pretty sure he's a leader. There are different types.

Time to admit it: Marrone>Ryan
OhDozeBills replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My feelings on Ryan went from 1. Cautiously optimistic. 2. I have serious doubts, but I hope he proves me wrong. 3. The guy is just a BAD coach Sucks, cause his heart is in the right place and you want to like him, but he tries too hard to be friends with the guys and thinks if I have their back they will have mine. Sorry, doesn't work that way, especially with the money these guys make. They are not prepared and at least on Defense are not put in position to succeed. -
He's such a whiner it makes me sick. I'm also sick of hearing about how bad the Pats got screwed by the officials. Gronk DID push off. It was a full arm extension, but how dare the refs for calling it. The clock issue at the end was done according to the rules. The holding penalty in the end zone that negated a sack was borderline but I have seen much worse in every single Bills game this year. But they are the almighty Patriots, so in their mind they should get all the calls.
-
Yeah the refs suck. The rule book needs scaled down big time and it's ridiculous they don't have full time refs. But I don't want to hear about the refs in the Pats/Bronco game. Gronk clearly pushed off. I've seen way worse holding calls than the one in the end zone that negated a sack and led to a TD. And the clock run off was after the Bronco injury was correct according to the rules. It's amazing that one game the Pats don't get all calls go there way that it's even a discussion.

Steelers Loss, Bills Back in it

At least we can count on good stadium replays next week at home. What will the next excuse be? -
I think the players need more time off.

The good and bad of Chris Hogan
OhDozeBills replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll add that for whatever reason, at the end of the 1st half when we were driving, he kept trying to get out of bounds to stop the clock when there was just under 2 minutes left. It was driving me nuts because we still had our time outs and plenty of time. I wanted that clock to keep running because you don't want to leave time for Brady. Of course the Bills leave 47 seconds and Pats drive for a TD. -
Throw out all the stats. This will be a very tough game and the Bills best win to date if they can pull it off.

As much as I hate to admit it, the Pats D is very underrated and well coached. We have one of the best running attacks in the league and sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the opponent. I will say I did not like some of the play calling and the hand offs from the shotgun seem to take forever. But I think we hit some of those against lesser defenses.

Schmidt got drilled...No call
OhDozeBills replied to OhDozeBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Care to reference where I'm saying the refs are the reason for the Bills losing? Just because I thought they were brutal (even Pats fans agree with that) and am curious to get a take on a particular call that I hadn't heard an explanation on, don't go twisting my words and assume what I'm thinking. There were several reason they lost this game and a big part of it came down to making plays and we didn't make enough to win. Thanks, I didn't hear them comment on it and wish I didn't delete from my DVR. I don't think they showed a close up replay to confirm it was tipped. Some of these national broadcasts are annoying, not showing replays you'd like to see. I know I was pissed because they didn't show the holding penalty right away on Graham when we picked off Brady, but they did show a clip of it much later in the broadcast and it was a clear hold. -
So we all know the refs were terrible on Monday, especially for the Bills. There have been several calls/non calls discussed in the media and on this site but I don't think I've seen any talk over the blatant roughing the kicker early in the game. I believe it was 1st qtr and on our 2nd or 3rd punt of the game. Schmidt got crushed, and the punt was poor because of it. Instead of pinning the Pats inside the 10, the ball got to like the 25 and they returned it to around the 35. A roughing call there gives us a 1st down in Pats territory. Of course nothing was said about it on the broadcast but I was in total shock when there wasn't a flag. Who else noticed this and what are your thoughts? Surprised it hasn't been discussed, but there were so many other poor calls in the game I think this one is under the radar a bit, and it was a big non call.
-
Thigpen didn't really do much wrong. The Bills had been getting so many ST penalties that i think the guys just stopped blocking in fear of the flag. So Thigpen didn't get much help. My guess is they thought they would try something different here, perhaps to spark the return game
-
Let Leo do it? Have you watched the last 3 games? Just about every catch has been bobbled. He's fair catching when there isn't a defender within 15 yards. He's let balls go that should of been caught. So not really sure what you're talking about. Sure the return game in the NFL has changed but it's still da huge part and can be a game changer.
-
How about Brady ripping into his teammates on a constant basis. Wonder how these guys feel about that? Gotta think it's embarrassing to them and perhaps a bit unprofessional on the sidelines. I guess it's a good thing they don't have IK on their team or Brady would have a broken jaw.
-
Hogan, maybe but where's the love for Robert Woods? He was a stud return guy in college and believe he's taken a few in the past for the Bills. Regardless, we know both have better hands than Leo. I will say when I heard they let Thigpen go and picked up Moore I thought it was a bad move. ST has been poor all year, and I attribute a large part of it to coaching and the personnel decisions they made.
-
He's been a non factor all year and frankly it doesn't seem like he's giving 100%. As a matter of fact, I know he isn't because I've seen him quit on plays. With that said, I think he is the one that is least buying into the defensive scheme and he's being stubborn about it. I do also think he's been dinged up quite a bit.

An enemies perspective on the game
OhDozeBills replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good take from a Pats fan. They are a good team but not 10-0 good. I seriously wonder if Kraft has his hand in the refs pockets cause they sure seem to get the important calls go their way. -
I thought Gruden said he would of had a TD. Anyway I think both teams got screwed on that one but ultimately the ref blew the whistle before the catch so they should of replayed the down. So I turn on NFL Network after the game and they have Dean Blandino on the phone talking about this play. I couldn't believe my ears when I realized the whole segment was about how the Pats got screwed on this call and it would of been a shame if a call like that ruined their perfect season. I AM NOT JOKING!!! Made me sick!!!!

Maybe the Bills should practice more instead of getting so much time off. Rex tries too hard to be the players coach -
5-5, 13 points, that last drive. No excuses anymore
OhDozeBills replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Yes I did. I'm sorry....but the Pats are not the same without Dion and Julian. And news flash our Defense is great---we should be built to win on the road. The Pats were also down their 2nd best D player in Collins. I loved the matchup. Loved the rest we had coming in. Total letdown from Tyrod to Roman to numerous things that show how dreadful our overall football IQ is---we continue to do all the little things worse then anybody. Couldn't have said it better myself -
The problem with Rex is he's a defensive coordinator, not a head man. A head man has a full grasp of all phases of the game and Rex hands everything over to the offensive coordinator and lets him run the show....completely. I really don't think Rex offers much input on the offense, so if there are any complaints here I think it ultimately falls on him.

Not impressed with the effort of Mario Williams, Sammy Watkins, Seantrell Henderson, Jerome Felton and not even sure about Dareus since the big contract. Guys that seems to me have heart are Tyrod, McCoy, Aaron Williams, and Kyle Williams. We need more guys like that.
-
It's either one of two things. The guys is a stud but he isn't getting the ball or he's not getting open enough thus not playing to his potential. I tend to think it's more a QB thing. A better QB and play calling/getting him more involved and he's a big play maker on a good offensive team. Bills are all about the run.
