I have really enjoyed his analysis after games and during practices. He always seem to ask sensible questions pertaining to the team, match up for the week and when evaluating individual players. That is why I can never forget his reaction when it was suggested that the Bills take QB Josh Allen in the draft. On the show with John Murphy, Brown who went to Allen's pro-day stated "the guy can throw the ball far to no- one. He is not accurate and the bills would be making a mistake to choose him just because he has a big arm". The fact that he is still employed by the Bills after the ALLEN selection implies that is work or his opinions are respected. In-fact to this point he has been proven correct. There is no magic fix to touch and accuracy . Especially on the deep ball. Tyrod had a beautiful deep ball. Kudos to Chris Brown hopefully his talent is better utilized in the organization.

WGR-550 Dust-up Today: Schopp vs. Capaccio!
kirkwoodus13 replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We didn't have to trade for QB. Watson and Mahomes fell right to us. We kill WhAley for trading up for Sammy. Lets see how the fans reacts next year if Josh is playing the same way. Right now he is a bigger Tyrod without the deep ball. This team is a decent veteran QB away from contending. Will Coach make the right call if he has too. Josh might need some veteran competition next year. -
WGR-550 Dust-up Today: Schopp vs. Capaccio!

Whaley assembled the most talented team the bills had in years. Ownership never valued his opinion and hired Rex who everyone could agree was a complete disaster. However that blunder could have turn into the biggest win in bills history had ownership rewarded the person that actually did their job. Whaley clearly wanted Watson or Mahomes. He never believed in Tyrod. Imagine if we had drafted one of these two. Those Whaley teams was just a quarterback and a decent coach away from contending. McDermott has proven to be a decent coach\great defensive coordinator. At least he was smart to get the power that ownership never gave Doug. In the end its all about wins and losses. But maybe we end up like the Bengals and Marvin Lewis. We shall see. -
This is easy... Josh is white.. before everyone gets all upset and refuse to acknowledge that race still plays into perceptions of black QB’s and their intelligence and ability to lead just ask yourself this question. When is the last time someone throws for 50 TD’s and under 10 interceptions in a major conference and wasn’t even considered for the first pick or not chosen in the top ten. If a white QB had Dwayne Haskens numbers the number one pick would not be a question. I hope Josh Allen succeeds, but his performance against top level competition in college was terrible. But I guess he had no one to throw too. The bottom line is the NFL expects Jackson and other minority’s QB’s to be athletic and uses that against them and focus on their intellectual capacity. So when you have athletic, white QB like Allen they just assume he has that intelligence to be an NFL quarterback. The fact that this KId went unstaffed when even Peterman was drafted and still in the league says it all. So please continue to talk bout the tape, and who look in control and ignore the obvious

What has happened to Ryan Lewis?
kirkwoodus13 replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know what these coaches are looking at when they watch the tape. Gaines doesn't know how to play the football, has slow catch up speed and panics when he is in position to make a play. I am happy Lewis is starting, but I don't want to see him playing five feet of his coverage responsibility. Lewis is physical and a great tackler. Thought he played really well in green bay, then the coaches put him on the bench. Any way coaches now cut 82, 2,10 THEY SUCK -
Gaines released....Wallace promoted

Kelvin Benjamin needs to be cut
kirkwoodus13 replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We need to come up with solutions. Obviously the coaches don't seem to know where and how to use Kelvin to maximize his value to this BILLS team. Remember Hines ward for the STEELERS. Here was a guy that was not blazing fast, not tall , but he was tuff and strong and a great blocker. The last receiver we had that might have been comparable was Robert Woods. The bills need to bring Kelvin inside close to the line of scrimmage and use him the way the Steelers used Ward and the Bucs used Keeshawn Johnson. By keeping him close to formation with his size he could help with run blocking. I would put him in motion to seal of or crack back legally on lineman or smaller corner backs. By placing him tight in the formation he would now be match up against line backers and safeties. Kelvin is not an outside receiver except in the redzone and would help our struggling tight end and oline group, thus helping our run game also. Its up to the coaches to maximize the talent on the team. New England has Patterson playing running back last night. That's coaching. -
They should have kept Tyrod for one more year. And the Bills had the option to do so and decided to trade it to Browns. If Tyrod was on this team the Bills would at least 4-4 right now and everyone would be saying bring in Allen, Tyrod is holding the offense back. besides not scoring the turnovers are killing this team. Tyrod don't turn the ball over and gives this type of team a chance to win. Front office screwed this up.

Stop it, they kept 82 and 80 over Nick because of special teams. Our special teams unit outside of the kicker has been terrible. Did you see the stupid penalty 82 got yesterday on coverage, then he follows that up by getting destroyed in the run game. You could the frustration over McCoy face. go watch the tape. Oleary is playing better than all the tight end on your roster
-
Croom is better than Clay right now, especially if you factor in the pay difference. Should have stayed with Oleary and Croom for our two tight end set. None of these guys can block worth a damn so it doesn't matter 18 is very solid on special teams and he catches the ball most of the time it is thrown his way. Unlike 13 and the garbage 10 who talks big and chokes in the game. Way to make Peterman look good 10. Stop talking and play. It is not his fault the ball don't come to him (18)
-
13 is definitely gone, but 25 should stay. You can't run without a o-line. These are the guys that should be cut today 82,28, 62,85, 2,10,13
-
Correct. Croom does seem to have potential, despite the fumble, but that that as an effort play. What has Clay done to justify that big contract he got from the bills. Go watch the tape and look at Clay blocking. Its been horrible. He is always hurt and drops passes. He need to go.
-
Can someone tell me why these two guys are on this team. We have to have the worst TE group in the NFL. 82 in particular seems to be beyond appalling. He can't block and have some of the stupidest penalties. 28 (Gaines) should not be playing over the kid we got from New England. The defense was considerably better went Gaines was out of the line up. How long do we have to watch these two in particular. Can we cut CHARLES CLAY TODAY.

Is Josh Allen just a taller Tyrod Taylor

For BELL yes. Look at Steelers offense right now without him. This guy is a number running and at least a number two receiver. He would be the best receiver on our team right now. Bell wants to get paid and Bills will have the cap space to pay him . This trade works for both teams. Teams are not respecting the run game of the Steelers. With shady they will, plus shady is a great receiver out of the backfield. This move would transform the entire Bills organization . Go get the best
-
Its obvious our QB needs someone he can hand the ball off and keep this offense on schedule. McCoy and Ivory are good backs but we need to go get the best. The bills trade McCoy and a second or third round pick to the Steelers for Leveon Bell. This trade works for both Teams... Shady get to go back to PA and play on Super bowl contender this year. Steelers get back a really good to great player who would thrive with those weapons and put Connor back to the short yardage back. The bills get a marque name that can attract free agents to come to buffalo. If any one thinks receivers will be excited to come here to play with Allen by himself is seriously mistaken. Plus we will have the cap room to sigh him after next season. Beane and Coach has to make a bold move on offense or we will be rebuilding for years and they will be fired. I LOVE THIS MOVE FOR US.. What say you
-
correct me if I am wrong but was the brown first string DLINE in the game when Allen entered . Our o-line was so bad they practically played the entire first half. So allen really played against backups
-
Yes I do believe Peterman is the better player right now. He looks to have command of the offense right now. Of course Allen has the better arm, but I feel Peterman quick decision making is better right now, especially behind an shaky offensive that just got a QB INJURED. I don't know if this wise right now. If ALLEN gets hurt on Sunday then what?
-
Peterman looked pretty good against the backups in Cleveland. Considering he was a six round pick, you could see he was better than any defender from the Browns. It was like the game was easy for him playing against that level of competition. Base on that I would like to see him get some snaps with the ones against the Bengals. Peterman has had an impressive preseason, but I guess that counts for nothing. Shouldn't the best player play? Right now he is better than Allen. You can always bench Peterman and go the rookie. I still think Peterman starts at the Ravens

Cover 1: Bills' Run Defense Continues to Struggle
kirkwoodus13 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our run defense, especially up the middle has been terrible ever since we trade Dareus. For all you haters out there, the Jags run defense was near the bottom of the league, ours was pretty good. Then the trade happened. Look at the end results. They improve dramatically after the Marcel addition. Kyle has never been a good run defender, and this new kid got pushed around the other night in Cleveland. If we can not stop the run this year, it is going to get ugly real quick. Sometimes you can't replace talent. Marcell would still be the best D-lineman on this team right now. Coach and GM needs to fix this ASAP, with talent or scheme. Marcell will have a monster year, unfortunately we will get a first hand view. -

Officially the worst draft in Bills history... Deepest draft in a long time and we gave up three quality picks to draft a project QB and young teenager at 19.. -
