  1. You did though. You said that with his UA degree he could probably get a job with NASA because they like UA. That insinuated that for some reason a UA degree was some highly regarded thing. I then showed you where the program, not elite subsets but the whole program, wasn't ranked very highly and you continued. UB won a cyber security competition so that means they are better than MIT right? You do this on every single post that has anything to do with Alabama. His degree was not in engineering, so it's a moot point.
  2. You can keep posting competitions where small subsets of elite students participate, or we can just go with the fact that Georgia Tech is ranked top 20 in the world for engineering. https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2018/subject-ranking/engineering-and-IT#!/page/0/length/25/sort_by/rank/sort_order/asc/cols/stats https://www.usnews.com/education/best-global-universities/engineering?page=2 Please just get over the fact that Alabama is not some Ivy League quality school. It admits over half of the applicants and you're never going to convince non-homer Bama folks. You can't even get to BAM on this board before you post some homer nonsense. This is a Bills forum and not some Roll Tide hang out.
  3. One competition where a super small subset of students scored higher. Do you even know what the parameters of the competition were? How bout all the other thousands of engineering competitions? Spin it however you want, but Georgia Techs programs rank in the top 5 or 10 and Alabama isn't close. https://coe.gatech.edu/news/georgia-tech-wins-top-honors-formula-hybrid-competition https://coe.gatech.edu/rankings-and-stats
  4. This is 2018 folks. It's now a badge of honor to be uniformed because you disagree with the facts. 400yds in 4 years at Alabama and you're still sitting here talking about him like a future HOF candidate.
  5. It's definitely higher rated by a long shot. Georgia Tech is smaller and considerably harder to get into. I would assume that it's tech based and engineering programs were much better too. Alabama is a good school, but you're greatly overvaluing it.
  6. https://www.collegefactual.com/majors/engineering/aerospace-and-aeronautical-engineering/rankings/top-ranked/p3.html https://www.university-list.net/us/rank/univ-1036.htm Top 50ish maybe for that program. Auburn is a much better school, and that's not even ranked highly. The university itself is only like 260th in the nation according to Forbes.
  7. He did well against a very good defense. He had a couple of nicely placed passes that were dropped by his receivers. His pocket presence is actually very good and he showed some good strength completing a pass with the defender holding his legs. So far the rookie QBs have all looked promising. I think it's important to see these guys against 1st and 2nd defenses to really gauge their standing.
  8. Watch the games. 29 sacks allowed is pretty terrible. It's possible that two guys weren't enough when mixed with the other crappy starters. Arizona was 31st last year, so it's probably more of the same.
  9. If Bruce Banner's trick is that he's always angry, then mine for being a Bills fan is that I'm always miserable. In all seriousness, I hope this works out for you because I haven't mastered it yet.
  10. He made something out of nothing for 3 years. UCLA and now Arizona have terrible offensive lines. He made two great passes that only his receiver could get on the outside that were dropped. He had one low pass that was a completion. I think if Allen had made those throws you would be defending him and blaming the WRs. Rosen's ball placement looked great. He isn't our QB, but that doesn't mean we can just make **** up when the video proof is right there.
  11. Straight from the google machine. "He cheated on his wife. He was arrested and charged with rape. A jury acquitted him of rape and indecent liberties charges. He plead guilty to attempted second-degree assault and was sentenced to 200 hours of community service." http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=19910123&slug=1262084
  12. I'm not sure where you see narrow shoulders. 6'4 226 is not a small guy. I think people are buying into this small Rosen crap a little too much to try and sell Allen. Allen is our QB and I will root for him, but the Hero Worship is getting pretty ridiculous.
  13. There were a ton of receivers in the draft as there are every year. To say that there were no speedsters left is crazy. Last year they tried to run with Boldin, Matthews, and Jones, who are all basically slot receivers. Their is a clear preference for them. I think it probably has to do with the possession style of running football that they want to run. Not for nothing, but the Bills have a guy who writes the contracts and it's not Whaley.
  14. The Cards had the 31st ranked offensive line last season and it doesn't look like much changed. It sadly makes me feel a whole lot better about the Bills line. I knew this post would be here somehow lol. You're also comparing them in a glorified practice where one of them played against a starting defense and the other didn't. I know it won't happen, but can we just slow it down and wait for either of them to actually play a regular game? Wyoming had a RB and C drafted in 2017. On top of that he had a WR and TE that now play in the NFL from his Junior year. It's not like he played in a powerhouse conference, so I think that's pretty impressive to have 4 guys in the NFL from one year. If you don't think that the WRs in Arizona are better than the UCLA ones you're crazy.
  15. The draft or free agency. Outside of Benjamin, all they've done is stockpile slot receivers. It makes no sense.
  16. You said 'I wasn't sold on Watson'. Just because of the 7 games? Is his previous 3 years of dominance added to those 7 not enough? I bet if he was a Bills player you would be sold game 1 of the preseason lol. I just don't get the hate for Watson and I'm trying to understand it.
  17. He dominated defenses for 3 years in college and then for his 7 games in the NFL. I'm not sure how we didn't take him, but couldn't pass up a guy who was the third best QB in a weak conference. I feel like Watson gets a lot of hate on here for the simple reason that he isn't a Bill.
  18. Yea but Coleman isn't very good as you point out. They had chances to address it, but decided to acquire more slot guys for their cannon armed pick. It's a very Billsy thing to do.
  19. You act like there was an overabundance of them before. This team has been chasing slot receivers for the last two years, so it's not crazy to believe that we have no burners. I don't think it's a supply problem as much as it is questionable choices. The OL is no different.
  20. The one nice thing about Buffalo being passed over normally is that you don't get all of this hype after one half of preseason football. He might develop or he might not, but it's way too early to say boom or bust. I hate when they compare them to pros with actual stats. This is going to be a brewing qb controversy when this guys should just get the chance to develop.
  21. I hope that they bounce him outside if MLB isn't working or sometimes even if it is. His true strength might be the ability to bounce him to multiple spots once he gets some seasoning. He wasn't drafted as a thumper and I don't think he will ever be one. Even if he isn't HOF worthy, I think that he will have a very productive career. I agree with everything you said other than dominated college ball. He didn't really dominate like Roquan and his sack total is a little disappointing for an edge rusher of that size, but I think his size and speed will translate even better to the NFL with coverage responsibilities. Usually the dominate college guys seem to be thumpers who don't work out at the pro level. Still very young and has a ton of time to develop.
  22. I remember seeing some questions about his physicality. He has the size, but he just isn't a thumper like some of the other high profile prospects.
  23. Would it have made any more sense to draft a Dlineman that year with our 1st? I have no problem criticizing how they got Sammy, but not why. There was so many more pressing needs than a DE.
