  1. His pass charts showed his strength was intermediate passes in the middle of the field last year. The Beasley pick up and drafting of two TEs was the best thing they could've done to really play off of that. Sometimes the long ball is necessary though to keep a defense honest, and he hasn't been close or has thrown right into coverage so far this year. Overall though I agree with you, just trying to clarify.
  2. Threw more or completed more? So far his deep ball accuracy has been sub-par at best.
  3. I think the line looks pretty good. He has more than enough time on most of his snaps and just needs to get the ball out faster. Ford looks bad at RT, but not enough to sway the overall upgrade. To me though he seems to put himself in trouble a lot. Instead of stepping up he rolls out and into a rusher. Tyrod used to do that a lot and it drove me nuts when he got praised for escaping situations he put himself in.
  4. It's hard to disagree when watching the games. Honestly though, McD looked awful a bunch last year and people preached wait for the Oline. Well the Browns Oline looks like it needs a rebuild, so maybe it's too early to judge.
  5. A lot of guys come from smaller programs. There were a few NFL players that he played with and thats more than a lot of programs. I don't think playing at Wyoming is a valid excuse for who he is. They wanted a Favre type player and they got one, and I think that we can like with that as long as their are more highs than low. The fumbles have me more worried than anything.
  6. Eagles aren't a pushover and Browns might get it together. You never know how things will look at that point. Dallas didn't look great for most of the game today.
  7. I think if he improves on 1 then 2 looks a whole lot less worrisome. Even on some of his roll outs they had a pretty good pocket set up that collapsed after he left. His downfield passes aren't very accurate, so I think the intermediate stuff is great for now.
  8. Our defensive line continues to look good at batting down passes, both safties look great as always, Hausch is money, the line is much improved and the interior are fantastic on the runs. The thread is about Allen and thats what I'm talking about. His happy feet and deep throws into coverage are weaknesses that will be exploited by better teams. This team is a huge improvement over last year. Everyone has excuses for why he is playing the same way he did in college.
  9. At what point is it his fault? How many seconds do you think they have to give him for it to be a good blocking job? He seemed to have more than enough time on a lot of his plays today.
  10. That might be true if NE changed coaches and QBs. I am enjoying the wins, but I'm not such a homer that I miss all of the weaknesses.
  11. That's a good point, but still a play that gets called. Thanks for the correction.
  12. The Bills struggled to find any type of consistency against at least 2 of the worst defenses in football right now. Their half time adjustments have been very poor as well. Those are things that can not happen against the Pats. Both teams are 3-0 against bad opponents, but only one team has years of success to look to.
  13. That gets called 10 out of 10 times. There wasn't anyone in the area and he didn't even get it close to the line of scimmage. He keeps rolling into pressure after he either holds it too long or just abadons a clean pocket. I'm glad he can break free from tackles, but that won't always be the case. Very mixed game imo.
  14. I follow it a ton and players always have nice things to say about organizations they hope will pay them. It's later that we get a different story. What big name free agent is listing Buffalo as a top 2-3 destination? We don't even make some lists without a substantial contract. We're not there yet. Unless your location is great, it takes a track record of success to lure in those big names chasing a ring. Nobody cares if the locker room has some great guys if they get blown out ever 4th game.
  15. Free agents always sound impressed with every team they visit. Let's see if they can beat decent teams before we say anything is different. The Jets and Giants look to be top 10 pick teams.
  16. They still don't. People on this board might think otherwise, but Beane/McD have done nothing to change that image yet.
  17. I thought the DTs were supposed to occupy blockers and open gaps for the LBs? I swear I heard that non-stop when they over paid for Star.
  18. Man, the Giants are so bad. Now they have to throw after going away from the run too early. Their defense is straight trash too lol. Looking forward to a stress free rest of my Sunday.
  19. First time I've heard the PG version of that expression
  20. and Brown. I didn't expect Brown to look this good. I thought he was maybe a solid 2.
  21. Defender has to take a different angle to avoid Gore. This prevents him from cutting off Allen.
  22. Isn't this the instant reaction/overreaction thread lol. Gotta comment as the emotions roll.
  23. why did we let Felton go?
  24. The Bills love to run their slower RBs outside and fast guys between the tackles. It seemed like they always had Shady going inside.
  25. Eli throws the ugliest ball in the NFL, maybe even NCAA. It's crazy that he has made it this far and with such success.
