Gameday Thread Bills vs Pats* 2nd Half
Trogdor replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Getting hit and that causing an int is not the same thing as continually throwing bad passes. Allen is bad, and he cost then this game. -

Nobody wants a Wild Card team that doesn't score a TD. They are supposed to be better than that. -

Do you remember our last playoff game? We're still that same team. -

At least the Whaley guys are balling out. Best safety combo since Clark Polamalu. -
Is Jason Peters the greatest Eagle of all time?
Trogdor replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peters' averages about a sack a game and im not sure how great that is. I never thought he was that great honestly, but I might be biased by the exit. Bell the next year after he left was very good too. I'd still take a healthy Cordy. -
Does anyone miss Zach Brown? Nigel Bradham?

More like an ok wife and an ex that let you experiment. Fantasizing is how Bills fans survive lol. -

Blocking is so underrated in a WR. Why we didn't do more screens to Watkins with Woods blocking is beyond me. His yards and tds will never show how valuable he is. -
Has anyone outside of Beane ever said that he could be a good RT?

Maiorana's Report: Realism or Pessimism?
Trogdor replied to Tolstoy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One of the biggest problems with Edmunds is probably his time at MLB. He was an OLB in High School and to start college, so he really has no time at a position that takes a lot of work. It's no surprise that he has trouble recognizing plays. I just wonder how many years that are willing to give him for development. -
Maiorana's Report: Realism or Pessimism?

Edmunds and Ford are in the same boat for me. Both of them are great football players in the wrong position. I don't think it's a surprise that many in the draft had Edmunds at OLB and Ford at RG. I'm not sure if it's just trying to justify their draft slot, but that's where they end up when this testing is over IMO. I'm still a big fan of Edmunds though and he can be a force at OLB. I'm not even sure that he is running the defense like some people believe. The safeties seem to come up and make changes pres-nap, but I don't see Edmunds moving guys around that often. Before I get flamed, I still really like Edmunds lol keep that in mind. -
His pass charts showed his strength was intermediate passes in the middle of the field last year. The Beasley pick up and drafting of two TEs was the best thing they could've done to really play off of that. Sometimes the long ball is necessary though to keep a defense honest, and he hasn't been close or has thrown right into coverage so far this year. Overall though I agree with you, just trying to clarify.

I think the line looks pretty good. He has more than enough time on most of his snaps and just needs to get the ball out faster. Ford looks bad at RT, but not enough to sway the overall upgrade. To me though he seems to put himself in trouble a lot. Instead of stepping up he rolls out and into a rusher. Tyrod used to do that a lot and it drove me nuts when he got praised for escaping situations he put himself in.

It's hard to disagree when watching the games. Honestly though, McD looked awful a bunch last year and people preached wait for the Oline. Well the Browns Oline looks like it needs a rebuild, so maybe it's too early to judge.

Bills weakness is becoming a trend in QTRs 2nd & 3rd
Trogdor replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot of guys come from smaller programs. There were a few NFL players that he played with and thats more than a lot of programs. I don't think playing at Wyoming is a valid excuse for who he is. They wanted a Favre type player and they got one, and I think that we can like with that as long as their are more highs than low. The fumbles have me more worried than anything. -
Bills (3-0) vs Bengals (0-3) Postgame thread

Eagles aren't a pushover and Browns might get it together. You never know how things will look at that point. Dallas didn't look great for most of the game today. -
Josh Allen - week THREE report card
Trogdor replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think if he improves on 1 then 2 looks a whole lot less worrisome. Even on some of his roll outs they had a pretty good pocket set up that collapsed after he left. His downfield passes aren't very accurate, so I think the intermediate stuff is great for now. -
Our defensive line continues to look good at batting down passes, both safties look great as always, Hausch is money, the line is much improved and the interior are fantastic on the runs. The thread is about Allen and thats what I'm talking about. His happy feet and deep throws into coverage are weaknesses that will be exploited by better teams. This team is a huge improvement over last year. Everyone has excuses for why he is playing the same way he did in college.

The Bills struggled to find any type of consistency against at least 2 of the worst defenses in football right now. Their half time adjustments have been very poor as well. Those are things that can not happen against the Pats. Both teams are 3-0 against bad opponents, but only one team has years of success to look to.

That gets called 10 out of 10 times. There wasn't anyone in the area and he didn't even get it close to the line of scimmage. He keeps rolling into pressure after he either holds it too long or just abadons a clean pocket. I'm glad he can break free from tackles, but that won't always be the case. Very mixed game imo.

I follow it a ton and players always have nice things to say about organizations they hope will pay them. It's later that we get a different story. What big name free agent is listing Buffalo as a top 2-3 destination? We don't even make some lists without a substantial contract. We're not there yet. Unless your location is great, it takes a track record of success to lure in those big names chasing a ring. Nobody cares if the locker room has some great guys if they get blown out ever 4th game.
