  1. How about the Bills just get a good quarterback so we don't have to makeup rules for their awefulness. Anybody here from Green Bay, New England, Seattle, Denver, Indy, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Detriot, New Orleans, Atlanta, Carolina, Miami, Dallas, Arizona, San Diego that want to change the rules in favor of the teams with terrible quarterbacks...? Oh man, sorry...I just got really negative in this thread. Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings if that's the case. It was just an honest response.
  2. How is Joe Flacco on this side of the argument???: A great defense and a journey man QB can win a Super Bowl. He's a FRANCHISE QB. There's one human being that the Ravens will not part with...it's Joe Flacco. They've invested their entire future on his huge arm, ice cold veins, and tremendous playoff team record and indiviual performances. He's as good as any quarterback in the NFL in the regular season (wins) and playoffs. He may talk funny, but goddam if they guy can play.
  3. Why isn't a front office more like a coaching staff - HC/OC/DC. You have your scouts for offensive and defensive postions and those guys meet with the "VP of Offensive Operatoins" and VP of Defensive Operations". Whaley can hold both titles - GM and VP of DO, since he's proven to be a very good eye for that talent. Brandon takes care of the numbers. The organizational structure of the mafia would work just fine with all capos and the number 1 field general, REX, reporting to the Pegulas. Now that's Family. Ground breaking stuff...I know.
  4. Hey guys, I'm a new here and this is my first post in the FF section. I've been in fantasy football for 15 years, and play in 4 leagues a year, one being a full blown dynasty league - only drafting rookies and FA after the inagural season. Somehow I'm pretty objective about Bills players. This year I drafted and traded for FJax in almost every league. As you know, he was a good #2 in ppr if you had a solid roster. I acquired him in a blockbuster trade in my dynasty (Lacy/RGIII/Rudolph for Luck/Jackson) and I was hoping to get at least another season out of him. But with Rex and Roman, I fear that Fred will become unworthy of a roster spot. Those guys have never thrown to RBs, and that's the only thing that keeps Jackson in lineups. Without the catches, he's unfortunately nothing at all. What do you guys think? How do you see Watkins, Jackson, Spiller (if he is re-signed) a QB working out in the new system? To me, it seems like if a QB is a runner he could be okay, and one workhorse RB and a TE would be good too.
  5. Unless Roman, and Rex for that matter, drastically change their ways, runningbacks will not be catching passess. San Francisco loaded their backfield, so did the Jets sorta. Buffalo will have to replace Jackson, who I love to death as an awesome Bill but is just too damn slow for this new offense/team. I don't see any way they consistantly use Spiller. And he isn't worth very much $$ at all on this roster.
  6. Now we're talking. Good work. I'm curious why Leroi titled this thread http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/175241-rex-is-scheduled-for-a-second-interview/?do=findComment&comment=3417000 with a capital "S" and "I" for Second Interview. Perhaps he's a S)ports I)llustrated insider and knows Rex Ryan because of ties to New York...Peter?? Peter King...is it you??
  7. I'm too lazy too, but I think he did a 3 year deal..? Even so, Elway seems like he'd be willing to grant a Manning wish.
  8. Aww screw it. It's Manning! Let it be!! That booing crowd in Denver will miss him dearly. Before the injury, he was top notch...again. He saw first hand...again...that a defense is a QB's best friend when Seattle scored 2 on the first play of SB XLVIII. Wouldn't be suprised if Manning and Julius Thomas are bundled. Elway has left it up to Manning to leave, and based on what he's done so far, he wants Manning out. Leroi wrote, "Big Splash". That's not an O-lineman. It's not a TE. It's not a stadium (that's a tidal wave that started with the Pegula's purchace and hits paydirt in 2017). IT'S A QB! Who else is capable of a "splash"? Culter? Nope - the fans would be rightfully pissed about that turnover machine. A draft pick? Please. It's Peyton Williams Manning. After all, the jersey number is available
  9. I believe only 3 dome teams have rings. Can a dome team ever have a great defense? Give them a 14-2 record, hosting the conference championship game, and they can get beat because a great defense can be neutralized in a dome. Maybe LeBeau wants to warm his bones, but he can't really expect to win a Super Bowl in ATL.
  10. Ain't that the truth. Definitely comes with the territory. Being a Bills' fan can change a man.
  11. I checked out his bio. He played on Woody Hayes' 1957 national championship team. It's difficult to wrap my mind around that!
  12. Appreciate the welcome, Chevy. We're all Bills fans here...for better or worse
  13. Hello everybody. I'm new to the board, but love what I've read so far. Great place to talk Bills football! With all respect, I couldn't disagree more. By this theory, all teams who need a HC are at fault. Great, a fifth of the leagues teams are clueless.... Really? The Bills job is coveted by any canidate that has any idea of what they are getting -- -A great defensive and DC if you want to keep him. Jjust play the Green Bay game on replay to hammer this point home. GB was looking to win that game, and Buffalo's defense destroyed the confidence of the league's MVP and by far the most hyped player this season. -The most important thing - an owner who will write checks, and a GM who makes moves. Like it or not...the FO is going to try. Some Bills fans are scared of this because of the track record. But most fans like taking the risks it takes to improve the organization. A downtown, outdoor stadium that's striped down so that the fans actually watch the games and cheer for the Bills instead of being distracted by bars and restuarents would be ideal. Downtown stadiums aren't needed in NYC or LA, but it would be a benefit for the Bills. The Ralph is too old. The quarterback and runningback situations are what they are. Every coach wants Aaron Rogers. But even then, it's supposed to be hard, not easy. If a coach is hesitant about taking the Bills' job, then he doesn't see all the good, only the bad, and therefore he's not a good fit for the job. OBD is doing the right thing so far, so let's give them what they deserve at this point- patience from us. We can prematurely blast them when this pick the next HC..
