  1. Rex's input should be be describing to the offensive coaches what the opposing team's defenses will throw at each quarterback the Bills are considering keeping on the roster. Then let the offensive minds make the decision on QB roster order. That's it. If Rex has more of a say so, he'd better be right this time. If he's wrong, again, adios Coach Ryan and Mrs. Coach Ryan. "Cannot play with them [him], cannot win with them [him], cannot coach with them [him]. Can't do it. I want winners."
  2. Okay, Dan Patrick brought this topic up again today. I didn't watch any ESPN last night or hear the afternoon talk shows - Is this getting any news outside of the DP Show? I hear Rodney Harrison is very disappointed with Dungy's comments... Would it be that difficult for the NFL to ask Dungy to justify his comments...? He could just say, "NO!" But the NFL could also investigate further, and they'd have plenty of leads. To me, this is way way worse than the missing 1 pound of air pressure that could or couldn't've been caused by the most popular weather pattern in the New England area.
  3. I'm thinking that too. Dungy just doesn't do this. He's alway on the high road. It seemed really wanted to make this point about the Patriots. If he's speaking up, it should become a big issue.
  4. I'm listening to The Dan Patrick Show, and Tony Dungy says that ex-Patriot players told him to be careful what he says in the lockerroom at Gillette. I was blown away by this. DP followed up with a great question, asking Dungy if he treated the NE lockerroom different than any other NFL team. Dungy said yes! He watched what he said. What's the league rule on this sort of thing? I'm sure there's something... When the podcast is up for today's show, you can listen to it. It's in the second hour. http://www.danpatrick.com/dp-podcasts/
  5. The Bills were far more emphasized more than the Colts. Kinda makes me wish there was more Buffalo represented in the crowd, like there is when the four greats and coach went in. Not that there were Colts cheered either....
  6. 1. Bills 2. Sabres 3. Celtics 4. Red Sox Living in southern California, it's just not worth it wearing these gears to local games when these teams play. In my experience, Sabres @ Ducks are softest. Usually just good fun ribbing. Red Sox @ Angels are the worst, worse than BOS @ LAD. I've had draft beer thrown at me in the parking lot of death from moving Orange County "Skin" tattooed monster trucks. Granted, some of these games were Red Sox sweeps of the Angels in the Wild Card round so the typical 20 something, tank top wearing, Monster drinking, flat-billed hatted, loud mouth, out of touch with self awareness, wannabe jock Angels superfan gets pretty pissed that self entitlement failed him once again. Bills @ SD is usually cool. There's a good size Bills following, and the Charger fans know it. Football stadiums are so big, you can steer clear of trouble for the most part if you keep your eyes peeled. Celtics @ Lakers is fine. Anything in downtown LA is a joke anyways. Lakers fan love their team, and they should. It's a perpetual dynasty, and they should have the self confidence to be gracious to opposing teams' fans.
  7. My top Bills. I find it absolutely impossible to consider players that I didn't watch play. 1. Jim Kelly - QB 2. Thurman Thomas - As underrated as a hall of famer can get considering his position, stats, and team success. Super Bowl 2, as I call it, really hurt him. 3. Bruce Smith - What can you say?... He was dominant and played at a high level for an extremely long career. 4. Andre Reed - Such a pro. Very dependable, and just super anywhere on the field after 5 yards. He was very physcially gifted as well, and bruised DBs. 5. Cornelius Bennett - The fastest linebacker in the game in his prime. The dude would chase down wrs on the opposite sideline who got 20 yd headstarts. 6. Kent Hull - The success of the offensive was indicative of him setting the o-line straight. I think you wouldn't take too many centers ahead of him during his era. 7. Eric Moulds - Talent wasted, sadly. PERIOD. 8. Darryl Talley - Intense, team oriented, and wanted it bad. He controlled the middle of the field. He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. 9. Steve Tasker - He was an absolute playmaker. He wasn't an every down guy, but he simply changed games. 10. Steve Christie - The SOB would have made that kick.
  8. That sucks for JPP and the Giants. It's time to do away with the silly hand bombs. What are we talking about here.....
  9. Very well. Well...Corners turn into safeties, and Jim Kelly, of course, turned into a QB. There's always time for a change. I guess I'm saying, if things aren't panning out for Harvin as we'd all like, use one of his other weapons to get something on from him. I hear you. But I like when a team gives a guy the chance to put his money where his mouth is. He wants the rock, and now he has it. It's up to him to get it done. The Bills can't be blamed for this one. He's supremely talented, and the trade was for all intents and purposes a one-sided joke. The Bills done good here. Shady...it's your turn!
  10. That's what I figured. Punts are a dangerous thing. Ask Welker. However, if Harvin isn't pulling his weight, throw him out there. There's way more of a chance that he makes an impact on punts than on kickoffs, especially when the weather is good and the K balls are sailing through the uprights.
  11. Which means you probably can't touch any of them because they may all be hit or miss from weeks 1-16. McCoy is the only Bill that starts the season as a must start in fantasy. If healthy, he should stay there. Good owners will have options better than Sammy to start the season, and that's all because of the QB and heavy run scheme. I can see Buffalo trying to rush the ball 45+ times against the Colts. Hopefully though, Sammy's talent wins out and he dominates 10 or so games this season, making him a must start in a flex league. Clay, Woods, Jackson...no way, unless injuries to McCoy, Watkins, and Harvin. Is Harvin returning kicks? Punts? The Bills defense is a must start to open the season, even with Luck. If Harvin is in the return game, that's a fantastic bonus for the fantasy unit. My site ranks them numero uno.
  12. McCoy is projected in that area over all. Harvin has always been a risk. A few years ago he paid off big time for the first half of the season. Then...injuries. I have pick 3 in my big league, and I won't be taking McCoy because Buffalo. Watkins would be the only Bill I'd touch but he would have to be the right price. At some point his talent has to produce numbers. Staking him as a number 2 wr after three strong rbs would be a good scenerio.
  13. These are blurbs from the fantasy football perspective. It may not mean much for NFL wins and loses, but it's insight from someone who studies player production closely, and has a good track record for predictions. In case you don't have a subscription, some of the article is below. http://www.fantasyguru.com/football/subscribers/articles/2015overvalued.php Overvalued LeSean McCoy (Buf, 13 ADP) – Look, it’s very clear McCoy is going to get a ton of touches. The Bills traded young (albeit recently injured) star Kiko Alonso to the Eagles for him, and then signed him to a new deal. The Bills have publicly expressed their desire to limit Fred Jackson’s snaps, and Jackson himself has said he expects McCoy to get 300 carries this year. Here are the problems beyond that: First of all, McCoy is moving from a Philly line that was inconsistent but all-around solid blocking for the run last year, to a Buffalo line that wasn’t. And McCoy himself was ineffective on a per-touch basis in Philly last year, especially as a receiver, where his nose-dived from 52 catches and 10.4 YPR in 2013 to 28 catches and 5.5 YPR in 2014. McCoy was also ineffective in goal-line situations, where he fell out of favor to Chris Polk and even Darren Sproles late last season. If you’re all about volume and think McCoy is bound to rebound, especially since he’s just 27, you could certainly be right. But in addition to the issues outlined here, we also have some concerns about his leading the NFL in touches the last five seasons, and also how he’ll react to running behind a FB, which for McCoy may not be a good thing, since he’s a creator more than a guy who likes things defined. Otherwise, we believe there are enough red flags to pass up McCoy for younger backs (Jeremy Hill, C.J. Anderson) or frankly better-bet receivers at his mid-June 12.8 ADP in a 12-team PPR league. Avoid Percy Harvin (Buf, 114 ADP) – Harvin hasn’t been a reliable fantasy player since leaving the Vikings in 2012, but he’s still being drafted like he’s a difference maker. Harvin wants to be more of a traditional WR in Buffalo instead of the gadget role he’s played for most of his career. Of course, carries and non-traditional touches have been a big help to his fantasy value, so that could hurt his fantasy value. Harvin also joined a team that has a big-time WR in Sammy Watkins, in addition to RB LeSean McCoy and their newest signing, TE Charles Clay. Add in a checkdown QB like Matt Cassel, and it’s hard to get excited about Harvin’s prospects in Buffalo. We can’t expect any consistency out of Harvin, and we also can’t expect him to play 16 games either with his injury history, so he’s not worth a look. We’ve been down on Harvin for years running now (after loving him early in his career), and while we weren’t correct in 2012, we eventually were that year, since he missed half the season.
  14. There's a flip side to that coin... What does that say about McCoy? The talk about Chip Kelly or any NFL coach being racist is much harder to believe than the fact that McCoy was gladly traded by the Eagles because of personality conflict, not racism. (The wr should have been cut btw. He embarrassed the human race, and should have been left for the desperate, needy, and morally declined.)
  15. I couldn't agree more with the OP. If he isn't a top back this year, and helps this team win, the Bill should cut ties. He has acted like an a$$ in a very short amount of time.
  16. This TBD debate is resolved. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/177699-im-confusedabout-brandon-spikes/
  17. The deer has been stripped of the E point on its left antler. Stand firm, commish.
  18. A hotdog and a beer for $10 is outrageous. It's $16 where I go to games..
  19. I don't know why I got this sudden burst of optimism, but if EJ will just take 500 snaps/dropbacks/and passes each day every day,, no matter what his mechanics, he'll become more accurate. It doesn't matter if his arm falls off, cause it won't matter if the thing hanging from his shoulder is still a dumb bomb.
  20. When Ed Reed stripped the ball from his own fat lineman in college and then ran for a touchdown, he showed us what a ballhawk he really is. Woodson, you can't do much better. He's a 1st ballot all the way.
  21. Totally lost me here. The team that Cassel took over in 08 (and I don't want even want to get into how there was no pressure on him at all due to the freak Brady injury) was 18-1 the previous season and broke every offensive passing record worth anything. You really think this Bills offense is better than that??? You think the Bills offensive line is better? You think the Bills WRs are better? You think Cassel is better this day, than back then? You think the coach is better, including Tom Brady as an offensive assistant? Do the Bills have better leadership?...Belicheck, Harrison, Thomas, Bruschi, Light, Koppen, Mankins, Faulk, Morris, Merriweather, Moss, Wilfolk, Brown, Vrabel, Seymour, BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Jarvis Green! Sorry, but Holy Cow!! McCoy....that's it. He's better. Oh well.
  22. Bills fans! I implore you, listen to and look at this man speak. He is a slow adult. I am not sure what's worse...the stupidity of Adrian Peterson, or debating and carrying on about his words and actions. The proper institutions need to address his mental status. Defending or attacking him is below us. The debate about culture and actions of the Vikings and the NFL are good talks. Peterson though?...garbage time.
  23. We won't, and shouldn't, know that decision until preseason time heats up. But every qb on that roster knows exactly where they stand with Greg Roman. This is the NFL and men will deal with that just fine. If he tells Cassel he's currently third, then Cassel needs to do something about it. Same goes for the other guys.
