The Bills tried really hard on the first drive on defense. Got beat up. Completely. Now after the Allen pick, they’ve quit. We’ll see if Allen can overcome this one. Hope the Bills have another gear,,, they’ve sure shown that they competently own 1st gear this season.

I love this! That draft was so exciting. Word got out from a Browns insider that the pick was Mayfield (Dan Patrick reported it), but there was always doubt. My pick.. Rosen(!) was the worst of the class! Hahah. I listened to too many of the “experts”. He threw such a pretty ball in college, but for whatever reason, it translated to absolutely nothing. But that’s a topic for another time. The two teams that stole in this draft, took huge chances really. The Bills more so than Baltimore. But the bottom line is that these two teams picked the players that had the “wow” factor, and that paid off. If the Browns would’ve picked either Allen or Jackson, then Wow for reals. They’d be sooo good.

And the broadcast just ignored it. No replay, and when they went to Lofton for his expert commentary he was talking about anything but what was actually happening on the football field with the Bills.

They got problems. Jesus. When Allen isn’t playing Referee White Hat, he’s throwing to the other teams, dropping the ball on the ground, and getting stuffed on short yardage situations. The worst part is he looks disinterested in playing football. Maybe something’s going on in his personal life.. There’s something going on. 6 points against JACKSONVILLE.. They got issues.

Listen, unfortunately, this is the problem that will be fixed. Not the on field stuff

Coaching staff and active roster decisions - if this game plan worked, great for them. They’re geniuses. But it didn’t. Failed miserably. They gave up the run AND the pass. Monday morning tells me that next time, do what you do best — shut down the pass. You can’t attempt to shut down the run and then leave yourself open to the pass. This is the NFL and every team can complete ten yard IN routes. Stop letting the other team force your hand. Play Buffalo Bills football and dictate on your terms. No, Tannehill didn’t look like Marino out there, but he also didn’t get sacked. So when Henry does his thing, which is most predictable, you can’t let them eat their dessert too. Kill the quarterback, force turnover/punts, get up by 14, then you take Henry and make the Titans a more beatable team. That’s the adjustment I’d make for next time.

Offense - just gave up running the ball, and started firing it deep. The short middle stuff was there. This really pisses me off because TEN was down to scrubs in the defensive backfield and like morons Buffalo goes for the LOW PERCENT deep balls only to see with their own two stupid eyes that that never ever freaking works in the NFL. You complete one or two of those a game no matter how many you throw. Stupid Buffalo should beat the living hell out the corners with skilled routes and high percentage completions. But they shouldn’t have been throwing that much to begin with. Run the damn ball!! Jesus. Run the goddam ball when you’re defense is clueless. Stop abandoning the run. If the there’s a theme with this team it’s that it gets desperate and turns into a Josh Allen bullet contest when patience and sustained drives is totally possible because of superior talent. Defense - pretty awful. Can’t stop the same AJ Brown in route time and time again. Just when I thought Edmunds was playing faster and going, he does this. If he’s a fourth round draft pick, he’s not sticking around this long. Time’s up 49. I’m over his one second delay and lost in coverage ass. ST - zero in the return game. Finally break one and it’s a penalty. Looks like the punter discovered kicking the ball some time tonight, which is nice. Bass is one of the best kickers in the league. But the return game has no impact out there. The NFC did Buffalo some favors this weekend, and Buffalo hand the conference a freebie. The shield showed respect with a Sunday Night, then Monday Night, then bye. Buffalo needed to come away with a win given what was going on out there on the field.

It’s a numbers game. It’s competition. There are some things that you can do to eliminate mistakes in the runningbacks room, personnel wise. Buffalo does some of these things, and now they just need to hit on somebody(s). Don’t look for a star. Chances are you’re not going to find one. And if you do, they’ll want more money as soon as anything big happens for them. Then you’re paying a lot of cash to a guy who may or may not keep the fire from what got them there. Still, even if they do get paid, and stay hungry, they always get hurt. And, in addition to their numerous physical injuries that will take them out of games at halftime and keep them out of one or two games, they’ll get butt hurt when you bring in good players that threaten their big play opportunities. Now you’ve got a broken locker room, because he’s a star and needs his ball. And, after their huge year which displays their star, they’re peak is gone and you’ve just built a team around a superstar runningback that won’t be there again in that similar capacity. Sure, there are outliers, but I’d have to guess that less than half of big name runningbacks don’t last more than five years at a high level. They are - figuratively speaking - shooting stars. The good guys: Ingram (selfless), Kamara (heart), Henry (endurence), Cook.. (here’s a guy that careered AFTER getting paid, but he’s thin in the joints and that combined with soft tissue injuries is concerning), Jones (size/takes a beating and is starting to miss time) The bad guys: Barkley (injuries) McCaffrey (injuries), Elliott (diva), Bell (diva, injuries), Chubb (injuries), Connor (injuries), Gordon (left his team stigma), Fournette (what the hell??) Star is rising, but factors above will be in play: Jacobs (good young talent), Mixon (causality of a bad team), Carson (a beast but injured), Ekeler (injuries), Sanders (young/injuries), Hunt (hotel hallway), CEH (jag?) Akers (young/injuries), Dobbins (young), Montgomery (talent ceiling), Taylor (young) the ideal guy you want is Robinson, obviously. Basically a training camp fourth stringer who turned into an everyday back over night. But.. how long will it last.. The Bills need to stack the room with young, hungry, something to prove, personally slighted, reasonable talent on paper, good blockers, team oriented/not star-minded guys. And these core value guys need to keep coming into camp year after year, even after you hit on a guy. Moss may be a good third round pick, but another year of injuries and he’s not. Singletary is looking like a sub-value third round pick. But.. I believe Singletary had dead legs this year. (It’s a football thing.) Just a theory, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he looks quicker and sharper in year three. If he doesn’t, then there isn’t much need for him. Doing your homework and getting these guys in rounds 5-7 is what you do. Or, if a talent falls because of off the field issues, and you believe you can handle him, then do that. Kamara. I wouldn’t have taken on Mixon though. That’s a little too much baggage.

Got to define his disgruntleness In MIN. Sure, not getting the ball. But why does that upset him? Is it competitiveness, impatience, selfishness, personal dislike of offense, QB, HC, OC? Thielan outplayed him almost every time over the past two years when healthy. Cousins is an oddball, but it’s not a plus that Diggs rifted with QB1 and the organization. If he expects the ball a foot in front of the numbers, that’s not happening. If he doesn’t take to the city..? Right now, what the Bills gave up, it’s a slight overpay. Diggs might be a top ten WR if his potential is maxed out. Fine. Look, they got what they needed. Good. Is he the right guy - Don’t know. John Brown was the right guy. Diggs comes with uncertainties. I, for one, will root for the man. Endear yourself to Bills fans, Stefon! I plead you. Grade B-

I saw Losman in Glendale, AZ launch the ball 65 yards in the air to hit Lee Evans for a touchdown (I believe.... I was a little subdued after the 4-0 Bills got Trent Edwards killed via a free shot from man-eater Adrian Wilson on the third play of the game..looked that up.). That alone ranks Losman ahead of some of these other high round bums the Bills drafted since 2000. Worst: Mike Williams. Too high a pick to whiff. Best: guess this is the best player for the Bills since 2000.... Josh Allen - there is now hope.

Imagine the greed by the NFL if Buffalo loses a home game. LA, sure. NY, yeah. Dallas, uh-huh. But Buffalo, the small market teams, come on. Are you ***** kidding me, Shield....

Everyone gets hurt. If they didn’t get hurt last year, it’s more likely they get hurt this season, or next. You want to have that depth for when it happens. Can’t have Poyer AND his backup NOT be on this roster at the same time. Next season, the season after, whenever, whoever it is, gotta have the depth at the positions where you don’t have superstars. If a superstar receiver or quarterback go down, you’re probably not in a position to repair that impact. But Poyer isn’t good enough to not take the view as: a position. He’s not: a player. On offense, only Allen is like that. On defense: White and Edmunds. Though I really wish the playoff game was a welcoming party for Edmunds to the national audience. It wasn’t.

I want to lament the 2nd half kickoff. The white hat ruled it a touchdown. Since when can refs overturn a call like that? I know it was a stupid call, but what’s with that??

And this will rank somewhere on the long list of Bills heartbreaks. Where..?.. not sure yet. But it’s yet another dagger in the heart for this city and fan base. It never ***** ends, does it.... EVER

I question Allen’s mental capacity. Our boy may be “situationally ######ed”.
