A real runningback has to be had. 220LBS. Catches. Three down guy for multiple consecutive series during first and second half. Enough of this flipping RBs mid drive, mid quarter stuff. Interchangeable means they aren’t good enough. With that first pick, do whatever to get the best RB that can handle the load. And every third or fourth series, you can throw out there the array of other JAG backs like Hines. Cook can play in on two back sets with the RB1, and carry the fourth and seventh drives of the game. Round two: WR Rounds 3-5, maneuver to get the two best Olineman. I think trading picks to get better players in this draft is a must. The team is too far along to keep bringing in seven rookies and squandering them, and continue to play some mediocre veteran talent. We need stars

I think expectations keep the Bills in first place. They ran the table when they need to this year, and beat everyone else too. JA is so much better than the next best player in the division, and thats the difference if things get close.

The Bills need better players. The four they rush is bland, dry, ineffective. Draft. Cincinnati rushed three, because their three were superior to our OLine’s five. Eight in coverage and Allen has no one open and the play is over. I don’t know how in the world the four that the Bills rush we’re going to beat the five OLine the Bengals had blocking. Then the soft coverage, and it was a joke. Coach can’t play worse players with completely ineffective schemes. You have to find ways to off set. Frazier and McDermott seem too thick-headed to adjust, so it’s a talent matchup, and the Bills don’t have the horses right now to get it done.

Bills Coaching Staff Changes Thread
Thrivefourfive replied to hellofellowbillsfans's topic in The Stadium Wall
But “Statistically”…… Why hasn’t it been said to McD or McB that DESPITE the Bills defensive statistical mastery, they have BOMBED in playoff exits three straight years. The Staff/FO agreement proves the point that they suck as big time football coaches and a lot of players — Because they’re taking statistically superior defenses into the playoffs and completely blowing it with them. Am I talking to a brick wall here..?! -
Bills Player Rookie Playing Time in 2022 Season
Thrivefourfive replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
They just don’t take chances on dogs. It’s all safe, conservative prototypical sized guys or undersized talent with what they believe possess difference maker mentally and motor and character. They need to draft a couple psychos each year, and watch one make his presence known to the opponent. Then all the other guys will elevate their games. I think Poyer/Hyde did that for the D squad last year. Miller on the 2021 Bills is a SB winner. Single ingredient. Even without White. So start drafting some lunatics and start bullying. -
Bills Player Rookie Playing Time in 2022 Season
Thrivefourfive replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the staff does an awful job developing rookies. They literally make the good, average, and the average worse. So in a nutshell, they draft poorly AND screw them up. Take Bedford. He surprised because the Bills staff probably forget about him, and then his talent shined, and when staff noticed they had something there, they did their thing and screwed him up. The last thing a highly coveted Bills rookie needs is this staff taking notice and investing their crap tutelage on the poor young player. -
I haven’t been around long enough. Who are you? PM me please if you would. I’m not going to bug you, I’m just curious who I’m reading here. Then I totally agree — that a bigger stronger group of men needs to take the lead in Buffalo. A group of them. They keep emotional Diggs under control somewhat, but the thing is I do not want to lose Diggs’s passion for winning. I keep saying it.. heart and soul of the team. But if that’s by default because none of these OLine, DLine, LBs can step up, that’s a Bills problem, not a Diggs issue.

This was my guess in the other thread. Josh and Diggs work on stuff, and Dorsey ruins it.

Time to go all in on the OL - The grades

How does one even become a 74th rated guard? There’s only two guards on the line. So these guys are 3rd string guards and they are STARTING for the Bills??? -
McBeane's constant use of premium draft picks on role players
Thrivefourfive replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
zippy, stay on topic Absolutely. And the scheme is limit snaps. Which is hilarious it’s sad. Limited snaps go to JAGs. Majority snaps go to stars. So the Bills have JAGs, not stars. -

One guy is AFC defending champ with a 5-1 playoff record in last two years, and the other is first ballot hall of famer who’s gone to five straight AFC title games (second time with two different organizations/conferences), three Super Bowls and won one. Ask the question again -

Beane’s mediocre draft record
Thrivefourfive replied to Shanahan's Horseshoe's topic in The Stadium Wall
Opportunity is created by play on the field. The Chiefs rookie Defensive play makers prove that. And if it’s the system, we have a whole other conversation.. drafting players who can’t excel in the coaches’ system. Oh that sounds fantastic. -
Beane’s mediocre draft record
Thrivefourfive replied to Shanahan's Horseshoe's topic in The Stadium Wall
What gets me is all these other teams who hit on absolute play makers within two years in the league. We NEVER get those. -
I watched Josh Rosen lead the best high school I’ve ever seen to a National Title. I get what you’re selling here, but Joe Burrow isn’t great because he won a state championship, but sure, it’s part of him. Just like it’s part of Rosen. Did Mahomes win a Natty at Lubbock?

Bills don’t have a mid to late first round pick this year? Entire draft — huh?? Pegula can’t pay a HC $20mil a year. What’s he, a shifter manager at Cinnamon Bun? How are the Bills not in a position to get Peyton, besides them making bad choices?
-
He MUST do this. He just must, if he wants to keep his job. He isn’t the owner. He answers to somebody. He’s not allowed to just singlehandedly drive a team into the ground. It’s not his business to ruin. That’s not his responsibility. If he was any kind of a MAN with character — the very code he insists he works and lives by — then empower better coordinators, and be the best HC you can be. Give up the scheming… your defensive has gotten clobbered the past three exit playoff games.
-
If the Bills want to win a Super Bowl.. He was said he values ownership as much as anything else in his search. Get this done Pegula.

It’s almost some sort of sadistic pleasure I’m getting in seeing the backup Bengals offensive linemen completely and utterly destroy every single Bills defender while the Artist Formerly Known as Joe Burrow twinkles and tippy toes his way inside their iron wall of protection and dominance. It’s soothing in a way, to see what real Men do to little fake football NFL’ers.

Good. He should be demoralized and destroyed. If he’s not, then rinse and repeat. -
Exactly. I’m not talking about Jax owning Buffalo this year. Hyde is gone and Miller is not going to Miller. And all the other things you mention are reason why Buffalo isn’t going to be as good next year. Poyer is gone, and Edmunds isn’t an answer, and we draft sub par. High as an effing kite around here. Oh, and a coaching staff that sucks.

Diggs vs. Josh: Sideline Disagreement?
Thrivefourfive replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m hearing you. What are your ideas about where leadership should be happening/coming from here with the Bills? Obviously Allen has to be the Alpha, but he needs a room of Alphas as well. I can agree that Diggs being a WR isn’t ideal, I’m partially saying he’s the heart and soul of this team due to void. And he being pass/catch butt buddies with Allen compromises Allen’s effectiveness to lead if he’s off dealing with Diggs (who I honestly believe wants to win over selfishness). I went to a few Dallas training camps. I’m sure you’ve been around practices well. Thing that smacked me upside the head with team chemistry was every single player on the practice field KNEW who was boss — Tyron Smith. He walked, you walked. He stopped, you stopped. I was on a senior heavy, leadership rich varsity team as a sophomore and THAT WAS THE TEAM. We went with them anywhere, anytime. And unfortunately, none of this is coming from a coaching staff, which can play out okay, IF the Alpha players buy into that staff as a whole. Buffalo needs these guys. They need bullies. Interested to hear your thoughts! -
Diggs vs. Josh: Sideline Disagreement?
Thrivefourfive replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve seen plenty of instances on TV of him on the sidelines firing up his teammates. Or you can call his rallying cries post Hamlin injury selfish. But I’m not going to find all your gifs and clips to prove them. Like you said, it’s a silly internet “argument” (conversation), so feel the need to withdraw, sir. Good day
