Deandre Swift from the Lions likely available via trade
Thrivefourfive replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Swift would make it a stockpile of good runningbacks,,, oh never mind. Eagles. obviously. -
RD 2, Pick 59: G O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida

This draft in general is shaping up to be very smart by the brass. 1. Best player available + need 2. Best player available + need 3. Need + talent/potential -
Kincaid - Joe B and D Brugler Extracts
Thrivefourfive replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not the peak years for runningbacks, DBs, DL… I don’t see these groups aging better than in the past. Couldn’t give a flying eff that Kincaid is 23.5.. what is that?? haha. He’s not 27..! Brady goes well into his 40s winning SBs, and all the sudden every great QB the league is expected to do that too. Ain’t gonna happen. -
@Sierra Foothills I’m assuming we are from the same side of the county.. we watched Utah play PAC-whatever games. Kincaid is a beast. Second TE in college football, based on my completely unprofessional opinion. I like his style of play much more than the bigger bulkier blocking type. I didn’t like TE Washington potentially coming to Buffalo at all. I see the Steelers drafted him. Perfect, he can go block there and grind out 17-14 wins or losses. I LOVE that Kincaid is an athlete. Pro: Kincaid is the top TE in the draft, and he grades out to be a pro bowl caliber player. Con: the Bills didn’t show much creativity with the athletic type TE they already have, last season. Now Knox was going through it last year, and that has to factored in to last year’s TE on field product. It’s not like the formula for quick hits to the TE didn’t present itself last year. QB with little time, quick hitting passes. The failure was offensive play design. And at this point, JA17 should be ahead of the curve compared to the OC, especially Dorsey. Allen is at the point where he’s the general, not a captain. So, in my opinion, Josh should be scheming up plays for Kincaid and the TE position. That means Allen better love this pick. Hell I want to hear from him — that this the guy he wanted over any WR in the draft.

Kincaid automatically becomes weapon #2 in this passing offensive. With a QB who lights it a lot, a 2 puts up huge numbers. That’s what should be happening. And then who knows,, year 2, 3 and after we can’t expect Diggs to be what he has been the past four years. That points to Kincaid being #1… or better, a future WR who can outplay Kincaid. All of this seems like a major shot in the arm for this Bills offense. Excited. Throwing Gates in this mix for you. He was a Bills killer.

I always fear there’s too much buy in to the “character” type guy. Kincaid appears to be an A+ human being. Hope he’s an A NFL football player.

Rodgers Traded to Jets Officially
Thrivefourfive replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yaokay, so the Bills have kill this quarterback and make him look old. They know what they have to do. -
Would the helmet help the defenders from getting concussions when the Allen Train runs through town?

Sean McDermott excited about calling the Defense
Thrivefourfive replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is too much involvement for the HC. I just can’t believe he’s doing this. It wreaks of desperation, ultimatums, ego.. This sort of thing worries me. One guy doing two guys’ jobs is not good to me. -
Florio raises an excellent question:
Thrivefourfive replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Chiefs have drafted better, I guess, but Mahomes and Kelce’s superior talent is their biggest plug for “lineup holes”. -
WR Allen Robinson to Steelers ???????????????????
Thrivefourfive replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty talent group down there. The Rams, oh my. They are most definitely playing for the 1 pick next year, and the opportunity to keep the college quarterback in LA. -
Florio raises an excellent question:
Thrivefourfive replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think we’re seeing how loaded the Bills are. Money has been spent to bring the baseline of talent to a pretty high level across the field, on all three sides of the football. Sims complained that paying good players is the same as having average players. I mean, huhhh..?? I listen to the show, and they say many silly things. They need to fill the time, and Florio especially, gets on a tangent and can’t shut up, and that leads him down some semi bizarre conversation with himself about this and that. -
Where receivers go to die. I don’t mind this. He’ll get hurt, or pissy about the lack of targets/catch rate. Unless he knows something nobody else knows, he’s expecting 8 to be his quarterback, and LJ will have completion totals averaging in the teens, which is where you want them if your John Harbaugh because that means his attempts are in the 20s, and there’s more running going on than passing. Lamar Jackson has a couple huge games a year, and those completely cloud the media’s mind with greatness (as a thrower…) and we all hear that and kind of believe. Unless he built a private indoor facility and he’s training like crazy to become a better passer, which I doubt he is, this isn’t going to end well for either player.

Offensive outlook post Free Agency
Thrivefourfive replied to HaldimandBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just have to say, the Bills are putting their money where their mouth is. Sure, there isn’t a splashy offensive lineman yet, but pieces are coming in, and that’s how you build a team. Depth. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Thrivefourfive replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL wants CEOs for QBs. An offensive lineman or linebacker is no standard for what’s expected of these high profile quarterbacks. Again, an owner has to feel comfortable with agent-less, endorsement-less Jackson as its franchise face. The NFL wants exactly the same. Because they’re one in the same. So far, Baltimore isn’t comfortable with that deal. I think the transparency of this whole situation would be fascinating to read about. It is not about play on the field as much as it’s about giving a player’s mom $200 million. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Thrivefourfive replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s going to sit on $32.4 mil until he’s ready to accept $45 mil for this season. Then, next year we do this all over again. i will say this though, the NFL off season is more interesting than all the other sports going on right now combined. LJ and Rodgers are filling up hours upon hours of talk show content. -

Thrivefourfive replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s not a passer! What is this myth by all those that think Lamar is getting screwed out of money. If he was so good, where’s the money?? Truth is he was really lucky the Ravens transformed their entire offense to play to his strength, and both sides won. The Ravens were cool with continuing that, and consider his injuries (which no one cannot ignore), and sign him to a contract last year. Now, who wants him?? If he’s so freaking good, and such a great passer, who wants the fastest quarterback in the NFL?? Right now Lamar is colluding with Lamar. Obviously. -
The ballsiest move and the only right move based on how things played out the last two years was to trade him after year three. Let someone else have the headache. I don’t care the age, it’s football, and honestly it’s not that hard. He has the physical tools, but unless he can simplify his thoughts and NOT think, his greatest asset is taking up space and making the QB avoid throwing in his area. I don’t know.. that’s nice, but the Bills 100% whiffed here all things considered.

Singletary—inarguably above average statistically: discuss
Thrivefourfive replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it’s unquestioned that most love the guy. He plays hard and fights for yardage. He looks good in spots, stretches. I like it when it’s in the game. I know he gets twice as much out of it than he should. Testament to HIM. If he had the speed, this wouldn’t be a topic because the Bills wouldn’t be in a quandary of IF to pay him.. It would be WHAT to pay him. This is nobody’s fault. Singletary just isn’t a game changing back worth keeping instead of attempting to get more explosive on offense. Remember that Dalvin Cook 80 yard touchdown last year that came out of nowhere and in hindsight pretty much blindsided the Bills. Bills need that, or die trying to find it. Feel for Singletary, Beane might be looking at this as a Good bye, but no other team is taking him, so it’s a release, and he signs for dirt cheap on another squad. Wish him the best. -
Bernard vs Dodson: Tale of the Tape
Thrivefourfive replied to TheyCallMeAndy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d be happy with any Bills player who can tackle for a loss. But what they have on the roster now at LB — cannot stand. Draft or free agency to come. -
Beane still looking to add big bodied RB to roster

Perine. I know it’s over, but not Perine. Throw money at him until he says yes. -
Master List: Confirmed Notable Players Released and Available
Thrivefourfive replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, he was the center piece of that offense. And he’s a very physical back. He should’ve been an all time great. His size and speed and cro magnon toughness was unique. My assumption is he wasn’t obsessed with staying in shape in the off season. -

He didn’t do his position any favors for being such a high profile player with a World of talent hit the wall so hard after year three. Not good for RBs that deserve more $$ Edit: he had more good years than I thought
