  1. The misery. The ‘band of brothers’ bond over disappointment. I don’t know if it will ever ever be washed out, even by two decades of success. There will probably always be those of us around that have had our hearts ripped out, and know the feeling of it being replaced by more and more heartache.
  2. The finale this season was the most heart burning. The Chiefs just played perfectly and overcame bad breaks, while the Bills did not take advantage of the breaks they got — fumble touchback/last drive. Stragtically, the Bills need to call a cleaner offensive game. Too many wasted plays behind the line of scrimmage — screens and rushes for lost yardage. I know we’re not supposed to call out players and coaches, but all those plays are someone’s responsibility, and for some reason a lot of members here think this guy is head coach material right now 🤭
  3. Colin Kaepernick. I don’t know why you’re so upset, and I don’t believe that you don’t know the NFL explicitly controls every player’s NIL. Josh’s big ol smiling head and pitch perfect line of speak is an NFL dream poster player. You don’t think they’d like it if Lamar Jackson was better on camera? If you don’t play by the NFL rules (John Gruden) you’re not getting center stage. What exactly do you think is going on Super Bowl week? Players, on their own, deciding to fly to Vegas, to do the spots, to advertise the NFL’s chosen brands.. because they’re independent contractors? Come on, Wee. I know you’re better than that.
  4. We have to be real serious about what a true WR1 is and level our expectations. Almost every top WR has weaknesses except like three.. Jefferson, Chase, Hill, in that exponentially descending order. It’s obvious, the draft is where these guys are found. Not free agency, and not second/third contracts. Diggs is not a true WR1 anymore. His peak is in the past and I feel he’s an overachiever. Best-for-best, Thielen was better. JA17 and Thielen would have been a better combo in Buffalo. I still think if you take the 15th best WR in the league, JA17 can get top five production from him/her. Higgins and Collins are prime examples of a very good receiver that will be featured as a WR1 and depending on their QB, very well could disappoint a fanbase. Higgins is more gifted, Collins has more heart, both are slow but long. OBD should add another wing to the building just for finding potential WR superstardom in each and every draft. You need a steady flow of these guys to truly contend for a title every season. It’s a sure fire way to get there. The game is 60-65-70% passing. To neglect this position in anyway is minor league stuff. Good luck making McBeane follow through on that.
  5. The list reads like.. #1 Party city! #2 Playing in conditions like a Uruguayan rugby team #3 NYC and twice the games #4 Bare naked ladies across the river.. #5 Bottoms Up #6 LA and twice the games #7 I hate this city.. I’m not stretching etc., etc., etc.
  6. Sorry, I have time to explain this to you.
  7. The RB1 and WR1 to Johnson makes up a “Talented offensive”. I love hearing any headlines from the Jets. It’s always a wreck.
  8. The subway money isn’t it. The NFL holds these guys hostage with the entire reputation. They can ruin anyone at a moment’s notice. Josh, and the smarts ones, do their job for the Shield during Super Bowl week.. it’s only a couple days.. the work is batshit easy, and they stay in the NFL’s good graces for all future professional and mostly personal trajectories.
  9. Allen easily the best. Easily. I think Loseman had a terrible name and came in at a terrible time, which the Bills still had hope and the 90s were still in the rearview mirror. The expectations and his performance wasn’t good.
  10. Is there a zero seed I am unaware of? Is there a zero seed I am unaware of?
  11. Definitely RB1 quality. This is either going one of two ways.. use him early and often and he’s toast at 27/28 years old. Or manage handoffs and he gets an extra year or two added on to a career that won’t end in Buffalo. I vote for option 1.
  12. Didn’t choke huh.. Does he/she HC?
  13. I hear you. I can’t remember if I was pissed or not at bad timeouts. Guess that’s a good thing, because ten other times in his tenure I can pinpoint win costing gaffs. I’ll point to zero pressure on Mahomes as a main cause for the loss. McDermott took on calling the defense like a total sociopath, and in the end the Chiefs were ready to score score score when the Bills offense couldn’t keep the ball for all 60 minutes. I know, injuries. Always going to be something..
  14. Thermal made some adjustments.
  15. Anyone have a feeling that of all the positions on a football team McDermott is most bothered by receivers?
  16. The rest of the world pretty much laughs at American football. This isn’t basketball. Like, at all. There are two paths to the NFL. Super duper talented athletic, or playing tackle football as a young teen and working hard with the early instincts developed. Europe isn’t doing that on a whole. Chris Spielman isn’t grinding it out as a youth on the deforested fields of the Sudetenland. Flag football isn’t a serious step to the NFL.
  17. It absolutely scares me to death that there’s going to be an excuse every freakin year that McDermott is HC. We’re all watching him handpick his scapegoats year after year. I have nothing against Brady and Babich but seriously? This is a championship caliber roster ABSOLUTELY ready to win NOW. Yet we have two young, inexperienced coordinators matched with a sketchy game caller and clock/timeout manager. I don’t like it. I don’t trust McDermott in the big spots. I hope I’m wrong. Oh, special teams straight up sucks. If we had players with a killer instinct they’d take this thing over and win in spite of the coaching staff. That happens in the NFL. But we don’t have that either. SBXXVII started off beautifully. Tasker blocked a punt! Guy should be a Hall of Famer. But nine turnovers is laughable. Nine possessions you just give the ball back. That’s insane.
  18. So there’s going to still be rubgy but no tackle NFL 😂 I think the shield hasn’t quite emptied the bucket yet of ideas to quell the violence. I agree it’s barbaric, but do as Belichick says and remove the helmet.
  19. This tournament wasn’t going to be four rounds. Those storms were/are no joke coming in from the ocean/north. The weather can get like this in this area of California practically 12 months a year. In early July, 50 degrees and rainy and windy is a common occurrence. Just hoping the LA Open doesn’t suffer from bad weather this year too.
  20. Putting another player on the field at D line that can’t do his job and taking off DW42 or Dodson would be a mistake. The Bills would have to draft or bring in a player that makes a consistent impact on the D line. Everything this team has done up front tells us that that’s not happening.
  21. Beane trading for Diggs in that deep WR draft is a folly that doesn’t get enough hate.
  22. I think I stated my opinion. Do we all think Bill is going to parachute into a championship roster and ride that cowboy to a Super Bowl next season? He has six rings. He wants that all time winning record. Probably doesn’t expect much else,, Jesus a Super Bowl would be unbelievable for him. He knows that. The Raiders are iconic. Bill is a football historian. Being linked in some way to that side of history may interest him. But I know absolutely nothing. He’s had plenty of practice
  23. I bet Derrick Henry could play safety. You have my blessing, Beane. (time spent on this board has me thinking every Bills player can be a safety.)
