Perhaps this is why our TE's suck

My bad. I have to do better research but I think I got your point and you got mine. -
Perhaps this is why our TE's suck
ndmanley replied to WVUFootball29's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Where did Jon Gruden play his college football? And New England did OK last year with Weis as their OC. Playing the game helps but that isn't the determining factor. -
I was not referring to TD. Please read again. Who was the Steelers' OC during those years?
-
Or we could have hired John Fox. TD got forced out in Pittsburgh. He didn’t want that to happen again. He wanted someone he could control and for that we got GW. I haven’t seen anyone that bewildered since Hank Bullough. Now, we have MM who could be the next Kay Stephenson. Maybe the next one will be Chuck Knox. BTW, if you watched the Steelers/Ravens game they had an interesting stat. From 2001 to 2003, the Steelers rushing offense ranked in the middle (I think 19th). The last two years they are 2nd or 3rd. They have definitely made a commitment to the run and have been successful. Hmmm! I wonder what has changed?

Fred Miller/Olin Kreutz fight story strange turn

Yes, he did. He punched his teammate back then and broke his jaw at Washington. -
Fred Miller/Olin Kreutz fight story strange turn
ndmanley replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This just shows the hypocrisy of the NFL. Kreutz caused his player to miss last week and possibly this week. Miller is reported to have already lost 15 pounds (liquid diet) per the Chicago Tribune. This has been a huge distraction for the Bears and morale of the team has to have taken a hit. In addition, both men lied to the coaches about the incident. I would consider his this conduct detrimental to the team but he faces no sanctions from the Bears. Where is the indignation from all the media? Where is the non stop bombardment of this story? I know TO is a jagoff but I think this incident is just as bad. Yet, the penalties and the attitudes couldn't be more different. -
Good point, TO is a scumbag but all these people (Salisbury, Theismann, etc.) are also pretending that the Eagles will somehow be better without him. This is the same BS they said about the Vikings without Randy Moss. The other item is McNabb and the Eagles have to be a little thicker skinned. TO should have NEVER made the comments he did. But, factually it reasonable to say that the Eagles would better with Favre than with McNabb (maybe not undefeated). It was a hypothetical situation and he gave an opinion. So, just chalk it up to TO being an idiot and play football.

Why is your franchise receiver out in the flat
ndmanley replied to smokinandjokin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no doubt KH should not have thrown that ball but why is our best receiver a decoy? Sometimes TC and MM are too cute for their own good. Just like last week when we give the ball to Shelton on 4th and 1. In crucial situations, give your playmakers a chance to make plays! -
If the the ref saw the ball go out of bounds, then you spot it at the 3. If he didn't then, the clock doesn't stop. Great game but too bad it ended on that play.

Can someone tell me the difference between
ndmanley replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
JP has not played well at all. But the difference is not our weakness. It is our supposed strength. Our defense. They have one turnover in three games. They cannot stop the run. They commit stupid penalties. Plus, they cannot get off the field on third down. The difference is our defense. -
Both of them are such jag offs!!!
-
Believe me, the offense's inability to make plays was the major cause of the loss. However, if you are an elite defense, you need to make game changing plays. That is where the defense failed. They did not create one turnover. Had they done so (especially early), it may have been a different game.

The NFL decorating Giants Stadium
ndmanley replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know it is a money issue. However, they had enough warning. My guess is that a significant portion of tonight's tickets sales will go to help the victims of he hurricane. I am convinced they could have sold this game out down South (especially if the NFL leans on some big corporations down there). -
The NFL decorating Giants Stadium
ndmanley replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be cool if it was someplace down South and not in Giants stadium. You have relocated all those people to Houston. Why not play in Reliant stadium like the Texans did yesterday? A couple of years ago, the Dolphins played San Diego and the game was moved to Phoenix from San Diego (because of the wild fires). They didn’t move it to Miami. -
Even in the Superbowl years, there were games where we looked liked we didn't belong on the field with our opponent. Who can forget getting pasted by Chiefs and the Steelers? This was a really bad game for the Bills! You can't get too down on this team after one loss. Just like you can't get too high on this team after one win. Before we rush to judgment, let's wait at least for 4 - 6 games.

Yet, he some how managed to make a play on special team, according to Gus Johnson.

He is still on their website. I don't think he is working this week because it is a Fox double header weekend and CBS has the US Open. http://www.sportsline.com/cbssports/team

Take South Park (you can get there a million different ways) to 20 West and head left (Northeast) and come into the stadium from the Southwest. Most people are coming from the North.

I know it doesn't matter but didn't the Lions first TD look like a forward lateral? -
How long do we have to put up with
ndmanley replied to Anon Y. Mous's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A dependable kicker is even more important because of the way we are going to play this year. We are going to run the football. Control the clock. Play for field position and rely on our defense. We will desperately need all the points we can get. Also, every time Lindell misses a field goal, it will costs us field position. If Lindell stays on this team, he will cost us wins. It is that simple. -
Would you be willing to ration gas?
ndmanley replied to HelloNewman's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I know this was done in the 1970's but it didn’t work. What is to prevent me from slightly changing my habits to make sure I get gas a little earlier (a day earlier) or later (a day later) than when I need it. Besides, if I ran out of gas do you really think they would turn me away? It is kind of like that goofy e-mail that circulates about not buying oil on a particular day. Wouldn't you just buy more the gas on a different day? -
I actually love it. Buffalo will always be home but in a lot of ways, it is a much larger (and more expensive) version of Buffalo. I have always thought Buffalo is a Midwest kind of town. The weather does blow, though. Schaumburg is in the Western Suburbs about 25 miles from the city. I actually live about 15 minutes south of Schaumburg. If you are going to live near work and have a reasonable commute, a single family home with 3 bedrooms and two baths is probably going to run you $250K to $400K. It really all depends on the town and schools (like most real estate). If you travel for work or for fun, Chicago is a hub for American and United. So, you can usually get a direct flight anywhere for a reasonable cost. Also, don't underestimate the central time zone. As I get older, I appreciate MNF ending at around 11:00.

Congratulations, that makes you smarter than our two announcers (Tasker and Marv). I was so annoyed that it took almost the whole drive (of them praising Orton) before they mentioned that our 2nd teamers were in the game. This was a local broadcast. I am certain that many Bills' fans don't want to hear our announcers heap praise on another team's rookie QB, when he is leading their starters against our backups.

Sometimes reporters make mistakes but since when is it OK to just make stuff up? I guess playing at Tulane makes him a Southerner.
