  1. Go Bills! I agree Fish are desperate and will throw everything at us but c'mon, what does that really mean with all their injuries and a QB that must get rid of the ball quickly for his own health? We are the better team, we're playing at home, we're healthier - Any given Sunday is true, but I'll be shocked if we don't win by 10+ today. Go Bills!
  2. Being healthy, rest, and home field are all important but probably ranked in that order (healthy being the most important and also somewhat correlated to rest/resting players, of course). That said, I wouldn't say home field is meaningless or irrelevant. We generally have better results at home vs. away, and I get the sense noise impacts Josh perhaps a bit more than other QBs.
  3. On defense, Groot (honorable mention to Von) and on offense, Cook.
  4. I understand the comparisons to Beasley, but I think Shakir is much, much better - Beasley was great with clutch catches, finding soft spots in the zone, moving the chains, tough as nails (especially for his size), but offered very little YAC IIRC. Shakir shares some of those valuable traits, but he is so much more explosive/dangerous after he catches the ball.
  5. Unlikely but possible we get the #1 seed (win the next three and let's talk then!). But as others have said, rest at the end of the regular season is critical, so having division/seeding locked up before Week 18 would be pretty awesome too!
  6. True, there's no "bad" outcome. And a tie would be perfect!
  7. Why are we assuming the benching will last more than one week? It probably will but who knows?
  8. Totally agree - And Fitz is a family guy who raised kids in Buffalo. A much, much deeper connection to the city than Diggs will ever have.
  9. Tops Never Stops!
  10. Cooper on offense (honorable mention to Davis) and Groot on defense. Go Bills!
  11. They are different style runners with different physical attributes - I don't expect Cook to slam into defenders and muscle his way through them. So I think McGovern's quote is a nothing burger. Plus it's OK to pay someone a compliment without any ulterior motive or implications for others.
  12. And the Chiefs have won some rings coming out of a weak division - Maybe an easier path to the playoffs isn't such a bad thing (better seeding, rest key players late in season).
  13. Slow start for sure but the bulk of this post, and its tone, sounds like you don't take much solace in the final score of this game, which indicates it was a thrashing. And the "full game" body of work was rather outstanding taken as a whole. The score reflects the better team imposing its will on an inferior team. Come on, man - Be happier!
  14. totally agree - also a contract year so who knows
  15. And also let's see how "late season" Diggs looks - Curious whether it was mostly scheme here or injuries/apathy
  16. It's only long when the lake effect snow is in full force!
  17. The trade speaks volumes about how our potential is viewed THIS YEAR. Shakir dinged up and our pre-Cooper stable of WRs left obvious room for improvement but it's not like we had to swing a big trade. So we go out and get a guy of similar caliber to Diggs minus the drama. Von coming back in 3 weeks, Milano possibly late in the season. Cooper should be fully acclimated by the time we hit the really tough games like KC and SF. PLUS we get the bonus of a Cooper test drive for the rest of this year.
  18. Such a bad move - It's like getting a Ferrari with a history of repairs when you only have half of a garage . . .
  19. Respectfully disagree - Context matters and Rogers is not very mobile, and we were getting to him with pressure. And as you said, there was a sea of blue in EZ - There still would have been a lot of blue down there even if we rushed a couple more guys. We'll never know how it would have played out, but I like our chances a lot more not giving him an automatic shot to the EZ.
  20. In that same interview, he basically said we needed to knock the ball down in the end zone - This is key because he views the result as a lack of execution by the players rather than a huge gaffe by him and/or the defensive coordinator!! Blitz or at least have 4/5 guys on the line rushing the passer - Way, way too conservative and dumb in a key moment of the game. Totally unrelated to the above, I agree with the game balls per the other thread but also want to note that Samuel got going a bit and also Knox, so some signs of life from some of our quieter offensive players. While unwatchable at times due to penalties, it was a satisfying win in my book with a lot of great plays!
