  1. 2 hours until game time - Let's do this! We have the horses to knock the crap out of the donkeys. Just play soundly on both sides of the ball and special teams - We are by and large a team of a lot of good/very good players that are not household names, hence not tons of accolades but who cares about that? If that can be used as extra motivation, great, but no one has beaten us in our house this year and that will continue today. Punch them in the mouth and then punch them in the mouth harder! Never relent and always go all out and crush them!! LFG!! Go Bills!!
  2. Over our kids' winter break, we spent time in Palm Springs and then Hollywood Hills and visited the Santa Monica Pier, etc. First time spending any significant amount of time in So CA. Such a beautiful and unique area and shockingly tragic what's happening there now. Thoughts and prayers to anyone impacted by this! And message me if there's anything tangible that I can do to help.
  3. KC in Arrowhead, closely followed by Ravens in OP. For this Bills team this year, home field seems to be a real advantage.
  4. It’s a teacher’s helper. In a Jewish Sunday School setting. Thx for asking. Go Bills.
  5. Thankfully, unlike the regular season, I won't be rushing to get my son home by 1 because he's a madrachim and then has a mandatory class right after until 1 pm . . . Good luck!
  6. Family matter with Cooper could be any number of things, including a very sick family member, e.g., and good reason to be out. Hopefully whatever it is resolves itself soon or is the type of situation where Amari can get away for the game.
  7. Totally agree - Should be a league-wide hold on all head coaching interviews until after the Super Bowl. Wouldn't teams want to see how everyone does throughout the playoffs anyway?
  8. I would be shocked if he were to go to a division rival and an awful owner/QB situation to boot!
  9. I think we were half heartedly trying to win but also making decisions based on individual incentives/bonuses that often happened to be sort of anti-winning (e.g., punt instead of FG). The implicit message to the 2nd/3rd stringers was probably to play smart and safe and not go all out or anything like that.
  10. And also I like how the Steelers made a game of it last night and almost pulled out a win. Let's hope for a very physical bloodbath!
  11. Agree - If he makes some impact plays in the playoffs, and we go deep, he could be back at the right price.
  12. She came with me back into the bar - We dated for many years but it didn't work out ultimately. She was smart but I still tell the story of when she saw a sweatshirt and said "I-O-W-A" - what does that stand for?! Southern blonde clearly not versed in all things Midwest . . .
  13. Yes, I think Broncos or Phins are nearly a toss up from a Bills perspective but definitely not Bengals!
  14. Good point, also we are the only team to beat Chiefs this year (in a meaningful game) - Rematch would get super hyped.
  15. I think the league would be happy with KC-Balt but modestly prefers KC-Buff. Come on, Josh on prime time in the playoffs is what everyone wants, right, including advertisers? Lots of eyeballs will be watching that game!!
  16. Could have attended the game in person but didn't to watch game with girlfriend at a bar - Walked out of bar when things looked super bleak and IIRC, went back in to bar eventually to watch the comeback!
  17. Such a weird game - Like trying to predict the score of a meaningless preseason game. Really hope we lose. But who knows? Both teams should want to lose but can't make it obvious! But all backups will want to make a good impression. Bills 17; Patriots 20 - Nice work, Buffalo, figuring out a way to lose and not make it too obvious!
  18. Balt will be #3 seed - It's all about them somehow losing in WC round - I slightly prefer they play Chargers, but Pitt is a threat too, particularly as divisional rivals.
  19. The more I think about it, the more I think contracts can fully anticipate this situation and work around it. Something like: If Team X is slated to play a meaningless game (defined as such and such), a starting player in good health will earn his pro-rated/expected number of sacks based on all games played in the season prior to the meaningless game.
  20. Pay him roughly the probability of getting a sack multiplied by $1.5M. Make everyone happy. Something like 33.3%* 1.5M = $500K. Problem solved! And at the same time offer new incentives, if they don't already exist, for sacks in the playoffs!
