My daughter (Kate) is now 14, and she texted me this on Wednesday during school: "Oh no I heard about von miller" - She's not even a huge fan but broke the news to me!

Welcome to parenthood! I still remember cupping my hands to receive my daughter's puke - What a lovely experience!

Not the end of the world but definitely sucks. He did help us beat the Chiefs e.g., which could assist us in getting the #1 seed. That, in turn, would give us a huge advantage in the playoffs. Plus, it seems like he's helped the progression of Groot and others. So my "glass half full" perspective is that he's already helped us a lot and we'll be fine . . . which may in fact be true!

FWIW, my cousin is a die-hard Pats fan and goes to every home game - He texted me last night that he thinks the "Bills are going to crush us" - Hope he's right!

Very big game for sure!! Huge swing for the good or bad if things line up just right . . . Let's get this one tonight and sit back and enjoy the other games this weekend!! -

Cool chart! When Josh rolls to his right, he's deadly. And in general, he does very well on broken plays improvising. But this chart doesn't say we have the best QB in the NFL - It says we have the best QB under pressure in the NFL. And a QB around average with a clean pocket. If you trade off some under pressure success for some clean pocket success, he'd move toward Mahomes et al. So basically this chart is saying he's more "feast or famine", but on average, he is in the top small group of QBs. That's my interpretation, at least FWIW!

Agree, I think the same play with Cook gives us the two points there.

NFL Week # 11 - Browns at Bills (Detroit) - Post game thread
TheWei44 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Totally agree - People kept saying all week "no heroball Josh" and "run the damn ball" and then when we do just that, there are some that are still displeased. Games was not perfect by any stretch, but tons of positives and the final score makes the game look closer than it was -
NFL Week # 11 - Browns at Bills (Detroit) - Post game thread
TheWei44 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was a solid win in my book with a final score that makes it look closer than it really was. Sure, we had a lot of field goals and the secondary gave up a lot of yards through the air BUT Josh had a decent, conservative, turnover free game, Cook really Cook-ed, Knox showed what he can do, Milano on fire, Poyer solid, etc. Add in the issues with the snow storm, and the win feels even better. -

Yep, certainly possible - And throw in a little cabin fever, rowdy Bills fans at Ford Field, and this team could explode tomorrow!!

They should seriously consider helicopters tomorrow when the storm ends (hopefully) . . . : ) -

Deadline to announce move to Detroit ??????????????
TheWei44 replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall
Schools closed tomorrow (e.g., Nichols) already - I think we'll hear about a change of venue by COB today. JMHO -
A drawback to a later start on Sunday is that it gives us even less time between Browns and Lions game . . .
-
Rumblings that it could be at Skydome too. That would surprise me but isn't crazy either
-
I think it'll either be moved to Detroit (announced today, tickets free or very cheap, full refund for all Highmark tix) OR in Orchard Park but offer full refunds so nobody has to go in person (and hopefully don't need to divert tons of resources to clearing the snow from seats, etc., etc.).

We live in Wyoming (Cincinnati area) - My son has never been to Buffalo and gets excited here even with a couple inches of snow in the forecast (which usually seems to end up being a dusting). I still remember crazy times there in the winter, like when my buddy and I had a mattress on the roof of our car in a snowstorm and we had our hands out the window holding it place while swerving all over the road - Or doing a 360 at UB-Amherst and living to tell about it - Or losing a boot in Blizzard of 77 and my dad having to try (unsuccessfully) to dig it out - Or kicking my snow boot off in the house and knocking over a bunch of porcelain spice jars - Or freezing my @ss off waiting for the bus. But also the pure JOY of praying for a snow day, looking out the window at the horizontally moving snow which doesn't seem like it would ever land, and hearing my school called in the alphabetical list of school closings.
