  1. Great work on this, Beck!! Thanks!! Not sure if already mentioned, but I'd be curious to see how this table would look including rushing TDs and rushing yards. It's incomplete in the sense that running has been a huge part of his game (for better or worse).
  2. And too much on the field "drama" too (Rodgers out, Allen's issues, circus catch, special teams' score in OT)!!
  3. Bills 27 Raiders 20 - A solid win but not a blowout. Kincaid more involved, less Cook runs "up the middle", Floyd has another big game.
  4. Josh was the main reason we lost but not the only reason (some bad play calls, etc. sprinkled in). His play in the 2nd half was atrocious. There were some silver linings, though. Floyd looked excellent, Kincaid caught the few balls thrown his way, Diggs had a big game, and the offensive line did reasonably well against a tough DL. Milano's a stud. On the negative side, besides Josh's play, Cook is NOT an every down back, nor is he an "up the middle" back especially against the Jets. Cook had a good game except when he was tasked to run right into the teeth of the DL. And even given how poorly Josh played and the other issues, that was a miraculous TD catch. Props to the Jets but it's a pyrrhic win for them given the Rodgers injury. Go Bills! And Josh, please revert to how you played the first half of last year (and more or less, how you played the first half yesterday evening)!!
  5. I was living in Alexandria, VA full time. Our townhouse a mile or two from the pentagon. Was driving into downtown DC that sunny (Tuesday?) morning. Not a cloud in the sky,
  6. I'll go with Floyd (really hoping he's a difference maker).
  7. It's all about a balanced attack but also not being too predictable - Mix it up, keep em off balance, and definitely take your shots. I expect the Jets to blitz a little more than expected.
  8. Either handoff to Harris for decent yardage but nothing huge or play-action pass (with Harris in backfield) to Kincaid for 8-10 yards.
  9. 11-6 seems like a reasonable expectation. But if we beat the Jets comfortably, then I'd revise up to 13-4. Can't wait to get things rolling!
  10. 2 from this position list: QB, OL, LB
  11. I will be at the game - Hope there isn't much re the Damar incident (time to move on, it's been addressed enough, hope he continues to do great things off and on the field).
  12. Chiefs Eagles Bengals Bills 49ers Dangerous: Jags, Lions, Dolphins
  13. Depending on how the season goes, they'll be a sweet spot for his return around week 6-8. Right now, it's all speculation but I'd like to see him getting some snaps in the later part of the first half of the season.
  14. You are right on all of this only if Taylor was being extremely precise in his phrasing and with 100% certainty meant to say nothing new in terms of the timeline (in an intentionally ambiguous (perhaps "clever") way). That could be true but it could also be false.
  15. "several weeks from when I said several weeks" is very odd phrasing. Could just as easily mean "no change in timeline" or "double the initial timeline" - Doesn't really clarify anything!
  16. Not saying he'd be in the top 4 for this example, and it also depends on field position, but don't sleep on Cook as a receiver/safety valve.
  17. You had me at "Bengals miss the playoffs"!
  18. Appreciate the effort compiling the data and presenting it in a digestible format. As an economist, a chart like that might be a first step in the analysis. But as others have stated, there are a bunch of variables that would need to be included to try to "explain" why some coaches reach their first Super Bowl quicker than others. Some variables to consider: how many years as coordinator or head coach (i.e., coaching experience); whether a defensive or offensive coordinator previously; whether team in playoffs previous season; how many pro bowlers previous season; injury index; etc. etc. Separately, there's the question of whether a SB appearance is the best way to measure the quality/success of a coach.
  19. Hope we see something different right from the start of the season - Jets game is perfect time to have him active in the slot and productive there!
  20. Dion's thought bubble: "you are a really crazy a$$ mofo" (or something along those lines)
  21. I've gone back and forth on this in my head, but I think I come out that we should do whatever we can to get him ("swing for the fences"/"go all in"). While I think the Bills O will be strong no matter what, with DHop I think we would be virtually unstoppable, and that would mean the D would only have to be reasonably solid. I also think that if we don't get him, there's no reason to blame Beane or point fingers.
  22. I actually feel that the term "momentum" is way overused (no offense to you personally). It is really a "catch all" term to describe recent success a team has had "within game" or across games. But what does it really mean? It's basically saying that the most recent results are the best predictors of the next results. And when TV analysts say there's been a shift in momentum, they're just saying a big play or plays occurred which changed the fortunes of the teams! Rant over - I guess that word is just a pet peeve of mine! Carry on . . .
  23. It's a bit of a stretch, but my fraternity brother's daughter dates someone on the Tulane football team. My buddy recently asked me for Buffalo food tips to pass along to his daughter and derivatively to Dorian - Fun connection! Go Bills!! PS, I said he should go to Duffs on Sheridan Dr
  24. And Damar is a very thoughtful gentleman!! He personally signed this jersey for my son in honor of his bar mitzvah (my son's volunteer project focused on encouraging people to learn CPR and Zach will make a donation to the American Heart Association)
