Forget the Super Bowl in Vegas. I just checked future NFL schedules and the Bills might play there next year. Here is your 2022 Buffalo Bills schedule. As you can see AFC West for next year is TBD  on the road so it could be the Raiders.

    Home

    Miami Dolphins

    New England Patriots

    New York Jets

    Cleveland Browns

    Pittsburgh Steelers

    Green Bay Packers

    Minnesota Vikings

    AFC South TBD

    Away

    Baltimore Ravens

    Chicago Bears

    Cincinnati Bengals

    Detroit Lions

    Miami Dolphins

    New England Patriots

    New York Jets

    AFC West TBD

    NFC West TBD

I will be at the Cincy game for sure!!  And maybe Vegas if played there.  Thanks for sharing

  2. This is an important game, no doubt, but as others have posted, we aren't nearly out of it if we lose.  To me, this feels like either a close one or we get blown out.  I don't see us blowing them out.  I like the fact that we're desperate and have basically shot ourselves in the foot re most of our losses (so that's within our control).  I also like the favorable weather conditions.  I don't understand why the line is low as it is - Bucs -7/8 seems about right to me.  Hope we have the "balls out"/leave absolutely nothing on the table/take no prisoners/scorched earth approach to this game!  GO BILLS!  We win 34-31 in a thriller!

Nah man. It ain’t that deep. Comparing a teams win streak to a 50/50 coin toss is silly and extremely flawed. The longer a team win streak goes the more the odds drop that it’ll continue based on a ton of factors. Comparing it to a coin toss is ridiculous.

You're wrong (50/50 coin toss was an intentional oversimplification) but oh well.  No worries.  And of course I think we all would like their streak to end!!  GO BILLS!

Well this may sound silly but I’m a big “odds” sort of guy. The longer a win streak in the NFL lasts the greater the odds that it gets broken. Pats are more than due.

Team that up with this being in Orchard park against a solid buffalo squad that will be getting back a couple of key men in both trenches and I’m taking us.

I am a huge Bills fan and am pumped for this game (and think we'll win despite my PTSD) but think your logic about streaks is flawed.  It's the classic "gambler's fallacy" to think that if, e.g., I flip 5 heads in a row I'm more likely to flip tails on the 6th flip.  If we also assume for ease of discussion that every Pats* game were a coin flip, winning 6 in a row is (1/2)^6 likely = 1/64 or less than 2%.  But each of those games, and the 7th game, is still only 50/50 by assumption.  It's only when we look back at the streak that we can say, wow, winning 6 in a row is pretty unlikely!!  Of course, if the Pats were more than 50/50 to win some of those games, the chances of winning 6 in a row is more than ~2%.

Just a little traditional Thanksgiving listening to warm our hearts and homes as we wait for the Bills to destroy the Saints.

Side note: that little section of the "All Madden" documentary they just showed about the turducken being given to the MVP after Thanksgiving games in the 90s has me feeling nostalgic. I miss Madden and Sumerall, but I miss the tradition of giving meat of questionable origin and safety to NFL players after Turkey Day games even more. I'm glad Josh got them to give him a turkey leg after we beat the Cowboys. I'll always remember Tre White running up and taking a big bite of it on the field in the post-game interview.

As long as the Bills don't turn the ball over can anyone explain to me how the Pats*** score more than 17 pts?

I'm on the record numerous times that this is the biggest game of McD's tenure.  He'll have the boys ready to go.

    Bills 31

    Pats*** 13

And after the Rams dismantle Tua Buffalo will have a 2.5 game lead in the AFC East at the halfway mark.

Gentlemen...please don't feed the trolls.  That dude is here for one reason and one reason only...to get your goats.  Don't let him win.

I'm thinking something along those lines too - A blowout of sorts, which for us is something like 34-17 Bills.  That said, weather will be a factor, so maybe shave some points off each team.  I am hoping we see the defense we saw second half of Jests game.

  7. Drive with kids back from Pittsburgh to Cincy

Watch game on very large projection screen TV with family (and especially with my 9-yr old who has become a serious fan).

Continue my very odd tradition this year of doing a pushup and situp for every point we score//10 air squats per sack//20 air squats per Bills' turnover.

Drink some beer and/or scotch throughout

  8. Thank you. Why can't people understand this?

Here's what I think's going on with both players:

Tyrod: Why play him in meaningless game with the huge risk of injury (and possible large payment)? It's a sound move regardless of how strongly they feel about his play or how they might address his option

EJ: If anything, this is a tryout for the backup QB role, not starter - From that perspective, it makes perfect sense - One last look to decide whether we should retain him for no. 2 or 3

  9. Besides injuries, I do think playing an undefeated team has a slightly different feel than one which has lost one. They'll be tough no matter what. I'm torn between having the chance to break their unbeaten streak (an extra plus if we somehow pull off the upset) vs. having them drop a game before us (unless game directly impacts us playoffs wise, I prefer that they lose). On balance, though, I think I'd prefer them to be undefeated when we go to Gillette.

  10. Yeah, but at some point don't people get sick of looking for something to be outraged by? A comment someone makes in a reply on their own personal account is the modern equivalent of an overheard comment in a bar and doesn't merit much of a reaction. I can't be the only one sick of seeing people combing through other people's online activity to hold them up to public shaming.

Keep in mind I'm only a slightly annoyed. I don't spend a lot of time on social media. Just wanted to articulate my views clearly on this issue.

  11. I'm offended for buffalo fans that meet the description that Watkins disparaged.

Exactly my sentiments. I don't fit the profile but I find it offensive. I am sure he didn't mean to take a shot at all Buffalo fans who are blue collar workers. But he inadvertently did like so many others who aren't sensitive to the realities of social media.

  12. It's not really. You have to look for Sammy specifically or subscribe to him so it shows up in your own account. It's not just out there like, say, a newspaper article is. Yes, anyone can see his posts if they want to, but they have to specifically go there to get them. It's not just out in public.

But c'mon, the fact we all learned about this, and given the basics of social media these days, this sort of stuff gets out and is broadly disseminated.

  13. Kelly, given these Instagram posts are for the whole world to see and scrutinize, it's not really right to view it as a very personal conversation. I get that it was directed only at the hecklers but it's broadcast to a much wider audience some of whom took offense. Not a big surprise. If he had, eg, included a racial slur or something else contemptible, the same sort of logic applies: the "whole world" sees this stuff and he'd be called out for it.

  14. Some observations:

    1. Sammy is sort of a microcosm of the basic problems with the team: Tons of hype without the results on the field backing it up (at least so far). On par with Rex's chest-thumping puffery re building a bully/#1 defense that has underwhelmed and underperformed relative to expectations.

    2. The twitter comment is offensive to a broader group than the idiots who called him out because he chose to focus on people's days jobs and demean those who work hard for a living for a low wage. It's the ammo that he chose to silence his critics that is the issue. He used extremely poor judgment and wrote things that rightly rubbed a wider audience the wrong way. Not that surprising given his young age but he brought this backlash upon himself.

    3. Fan interest (consumer demand in econ speak) is the driver of all NFL revenue, from TV broadcast rights (valued based on the number of eyeballs that watch games), to apparel, etc., etc.
