  1. Organizationally the Bills were a hot mess when he was there. We only have turned the corner QB-wise since we sorted out the front office & coach. Hard to get where you want to when dysfunction has the wheel.
  2. Man is he persistent in the messaging to Josh. The more you want the less talent we'll have around you. I'm not sure I've heard any other GM's drive the message home so overtly or so repetitively. My gut tells me it's a sign that #17 will be open to that approach when contract talks officially start.
  3. How could you hate Flutie? Did you ever see him play? The dude did whatever he could to win.
  4. If you take Brady out of consideration then Edelman is top 5 at best. Rodney Harrison is #1 for me. That dud was just a dirty player that got away with too much. And he was still fined a lot!!!
  5. Rex Ryan is wondering how he never came up with that line. Guess he was just too busy winning the offseason every year.
  6. Nothing like a bit of morning drinking to start the day!!!
  7. I watched it in a bar here. Had to argue with the bartender to turn it on one of the TVs. He was giving me crap when he say how much we were down when he did. Gave him the old no one circles the wagons line. I can only imagine how great it was seeing it live.
  8. There's a lot of great games to consider and a lot of great Bills players during that time period but if I had to pick one game it would have to be Bills @ Bengals in 2010
  9. Why else would the process have taken so long?
  10. Was with you until the capri pants comment. If you think Kim's decisions are not good then just say that. The rest of your comment really is tired old cliche stuff in a thread that is meant to say Happy Birthday to the guy who kept the Bills in Buffalo and put in a Bills organization that gets back to the playoffs consistently.
  11. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-agree-to-terms-with-rb-matt-breida
  12. Better get a bigger bag of popcorn coz Big Baller Beane might just go get both. 😂
  13. Never underestimate the negotiating powers of Beane. The guy wins way more than he loses. Still shocked about him getting anything for Lee Smith
  14. I'm thinking that the Eagles are the ones sweating. Beane just got someone to compete for a job. A trade for Ertz is still possible.
  15. I hope that if he doesn't stay in Buffalo that at least he gets a better option than Chicago
  16. You need to have a better backup than Barkley.
  17. Has Adam Schefter's twitter account been hacked. Beane is a wizard but even he has to have limits.
  18. Totally agree. It has to hurt being cut and then being asked about it.. too soon. Smoke is a good guy, solid presence in the locker room and mentor for the new guys. He'll get a job and contribute wherever he ends up. When we went 5-0 without him while at the same time struggling against the run and not getting to the QB. That makes it easy to see where we need to spend our money. I wish JB every success and thanks for all he did for the Bills while he was here.
  19. I've never wanted sound more on a gif 😂 I have to say if some dude was rubbing my arm and tickling it I'd at least flinch a little bit.
  20. How'd the whole let Russ cook thing go again this year? And to answer your question about Watson, no he didn't make loud noises about his profound displeasure with the organization. He was a professional and kept it in house. When the organization completely went back on its word he was left with little choice. if you go back and read what I originally posted you'd see that I said that Wilson has the right to speak his mind. I think Watson at least gave a terrible organization the opportunity to do the right thing and Wilson just seems to blame everyone but himself. In the words of Richard Sherman back in 2018 …“He protected him,” one Seahawk says. “And we hated that. Any time he f—– up, Pete would never say anything. Not in a team meeting, not publicly, never. If Russ had a terrible game, he would always talk about how resilient he was. We’re like, what the f— are you talking about?”
  21. All this is circular. Power moved from the QBs to the Coaches, many of which gained Full GM or partial GM responsibilities. Now I think that is reverting to back to separate GM and coach roles with QBs feeling like they have a say on play calling and personnel. Personally and professionally I've always thought that when groups adopt structured collaborative efforts over the long term they are more successful. On another note I do not view the Wilson and Watson situations being the same thing. Watson had discussions and commitments were made to him. He played the season with the understanding that those commitments would be kept. They were not and as a result he has been crystal clear what his expectations are. Wilson on the other hand seems to have different motivations. He's putting out a mixed message of if I were to be traded I'd like to go one of these teams. Seattle has in the past tried to make him the centerpiece with mixed results. Not given the ball to beast mode is a perfect example. I'm not say that Wilson doesn't have the right to speak his mind but we shouldn't automatically equate his situation to Watsons.
  22. Dude that's just in your head. I don't have the video handy but will search later and add to this post if I find it. But anyway Josh Allen says the exact same thing that Lee Smith says. Dawson Knox is a freak in terms of potential and that he just needs time for it all to click, and when it does ....
  23. What really bugs me is all the move on guys in here. Everyone to a man in the Bills org whose been around Knox raves about his potential. They talk about how he's raw talent that was never developed, much the same as Josh. Given time and repetition he will be a top tier TE in the NFL. If we moved on at the rate these guys suggest we'd be back in the preCoachMcD. Some guys need time and quality coaching. I happen to be in the camp that thinks we will be very happy to have Knox when the coaching and practice all comes together for him. I believe in Dawson Knox especially when he has a proper offseason.
  24. The line was shielded a lot by Josh Allen's athleticism. If we're going to get past the Chiefs they need to be better. Admittedly the refs regulated the AFC championship game differently than in the SB particularly on the CBs but Josh was under more duress than he could have been reasonably expected to handle. He'll improve in this area but the OP has a point that the OL didn't perform at the required level when needed.
