  1. Agreed... unfortunately his best attribute 'size and catch radius' has caused him to be very injury prone over the past couple seasons... I'd be surprised if he plays in all 16 games next year. I think this may come down to a miss when looking back on the trade.
  2. I think they went to a couple super bowls during this time if I can recall correctly...
  3. bleh... It has zero relevance to the current management regime. It's an interesting fact is all. However your overly sensitive response to someone who disagrees, underscores the winy purpose of this thread..
  4. Yeah... because missing the playoffs by winning 5-7 games means the Bills get the #12 pick....
  5. You pointed out the actual story, I bolded it for you above... It's so clearly not just a property damage story and anyone who reads the current headlines will glance past the story and assume it as a petty criminal act. So you pick, piss-poor journalism in choosing a headline, OR side-stepping a mental illness discussion.
  6. We don't have money this year to spend in 2018, so we would have needed to a multi-year offer to compete... in which case I'd guess mgmt is hedging their bets that they can get someone better by next year.
  7. These threads are conversational and unfortunately DO require some pensiveness to try and understand various arguments. Your uneasiness about the slightest mention that 'race' is also unsettling to me.
  8. Classic example of overvaluing what you have (had). Psychological phenomena... but no Darby could not garner a 1st round pick OR a 2nd round pick. 3rd round is excellent return for him.
  9. I agree that it's an easy scapegoat these days.... But I see the NFL as intentionally dodging this with the headline. Imagine someone throws a CTE claim at being involved with this situation? That's a pretty scary scenario and I think the NFL wants this to disappear... I sound like a super conspiracy theorist now...
  10. "Arrested for property damage" is a convenient headline for the NFL that basically says: "entitled black football player doesn't respect other person's property and is arrested" Anyone who watched that video knows this is not a 'property damage' case. IMO, I think it's intentional to gloss over the event as simple criminal act when there is clearly something larger at play.
  11. Anyone notice all the Major headlines (ESPN.com NFL.com etc.) regarding Zay Jones incident? They all just state a guy being arrested for property damages... This story is not a 'property damage' story and the article titles are intentionally misleading IMO. I think it shows how sensitive the NFL still is with any association to mental health issues.
  12. regardless what the exact reason, Dennison wasn't able to right the ship.
  13. Yeah... definitely a realistic expectation to be 100% on every personnel move in your first year as a head coach... Dennison was also not his first choice. hmmm... if only there was some sort of organized lottery system where you could add football players that recently played in college to better your team... meh, it's probably wouldn't help in building an O-line anyways...
  14. Our OC Dennison was responsible for the change in run-scheme. He was fired. Cody Glenn Traded due to his cap# They also haven't drafted anyone... including the 5th best qb.
  15. I'm terrified about the status of our Offensive Line right now. Very little depth and they weren't really that great last year. I hope we make some solid additions to protect our hopeful rookie qb.
  16. Exactly my point... he plays well one year and you're ready to give him a massive deal. With a rookie, you can see several years of development to understand his true ceiling. A big contract to Foles with a small data set would be a huge risk to the Bills future.
  17. Hahaha I'd laugh at you equally even if you replaced Foles with Brady in this mind boggling thought!
  18. I just can't see the Bills going for Foles... If we add Foles and he plays well, the Bills would have to offer a Cousins type contract based on a very small sample size by the time he hits free agency... Basically it would set ourselves up for a Fitzpatrick type mistake along with significant draft capital loss... I have to think the draft picks are going to be converted to a top-5 pick and rookie qb.
  19. Amendola more so. To me he's a roll player that has gigantic games at times but disappears when his number isn't called based on the game plan. I don't see him being very successful in Miami.
  20. Probably true... I feel like Amendola leaving stands out to me the most. He seemed to be the Patriot standard for a while now. Guessing he's tired of it though.
  21. Several Patriots going for the pay-day instead of pursuit of another ring... Nate Soldier Malcom Butler Dion Lewis Danny Amendola There were reports last year of players getting tired of the 'Patriot Way', it's also been criticized and not being any 'fun'... I know the argument is going to be that NE never pays out the big contracts.... but maybe this is another sign of cracks in the empire.
