  1. Maybe the measurable are similar, but Duke is nowhere near the same talent as Boldin was.
  2. Ah, yup. Could have been game over. Damn. Crazy how one play would have made everyone feel and perceive this team and offense SO differently!
  3. Sorry, didn't mean to hurt your feelings.. I'll change my answer...Josh Allen is the best quarterback in the whole wide world. I vote one million percent!
  4. Didn't feel too conservative. Lots of throws, just poor offensive execution. The ball to Duke Williams in the endzone could have sealed the game.
  5. That ball to Duke in the end zone was a beauty... wish it had been caught. Don't recall if they still scored a TD on that drive.
  6. See... turns out it would have been better to miss the playoffs!
  7. It's ironic that nothing in Alanis Morisette's "Isn't it Ironic" is actually ironic. Just like this post.
  8. After this Houston loss, and giving the benefit of the doubt following losses to Baltimore and NE (PLUS 2- pitiful drives against the Jets), it's so hard for me NOT to attribute a large portion of his perceived improvements to the easy schedule. I think the offense as a whole was exposed during the final stretch of the year. It all comes down to when Allen is able to 'mask' at least the deficiencies of the offense with his play... which he is currently not able to do so.
  9. If he actually said something like that, then you are definitely misinterpreting what he meant.
  10. The offense didn't show up beyond a couple gimmick plays and one other drive. The refs are 0% to blame for this loss. Hopefully some more experience next year plus a couple free agent additions makes the necessary offensive improvements for this team to compete. They don't even need to be great but do need to be at least a top 20 offense...
  11. I feel like half of the misses were against Jets kickers... It would be interesting if there were a way to track speed of pass rush or something else to correlate with missed kicks.
  12. The Bills are at a caliber where they can realistically beat any team that lacks a top 5 defense. Allen is 1-year away from removing that as a limitation of the team. If we can avoid Baltimore, NE, and San Fran, then we have a legitimate chance to win.
  13. Very cool! Why not include all fumbles? Most of the time it can be random chance that you lose the fumble. Also - quarter by quarter comparison would be interesting as I would expect Allen to move up the ranks as each quarter progresses. Nice work.
  14. Somewhat disagree. Although Barkley could likely be upgraded next year, I think the Jets pose a more difficult match up for any backup qb. They've got a solid defense that's carried them the second half of the year. Also - Barkley was playing without the Beasley/Cole/Singeltary... so he wasn't necessarily set up for success.
  15. KC would be a fun game to watch. I don't think the Chiefs D is as good as everyone makes it out to be, so they'd definitely be the preferable opponent compared to NE/Baltimore.
  16. Gase must have some excellent blackmill on everyone in the NFL to still be employed.
  17. Beating the Pats in the championship game would be the most meaningful, but definitely not the easiest route. I'm routing for both wild card teams next weekend so we can avoid going to Baltimore.
  18. It's football. People get hurt. It looks like the offense needs more game reps to make improvements necessary for a playoff run more than it would benefit the team to rest. You can't have it both ways.
  19. There's a difference between 'considered' and giving my sole vote to Tomlin over McDermott, after losing to him at home.
  20. Somehow Tomlin still got some votes even after losing to... the Bills. Just shows you how biased all these opinions are, but also even more impressive that McDermott is the current consensus.
  21. Beat the Texans round 1 and we likely get Baltimore.
  22. We'll get to watch a million replays of the 90s comeback vs the Oilers if that's the case.
  23. Patriots release was injury related.. so maybe they knew there was no 'natural' rehab process to get him back on the field this season.
  24. I wouldn't ask to change anything to their current approach to the defense. The success you speak of is likely due to catching their opponent off guard and blitzing Edmunds at the opportune time. Doing the same thing more won't necessarily lead to more success especially once opponents pick up on it.
