Singletary—inarguably above average statistically: discuss

No speed and no burst, they need to upgrade the position and stop expecting Allen to run. -
Singletary—inarguably above average statistically: discuss

4.65 FORTY, he does not have enough speed or burst to be a starting level RB and that is why he is still available. His average is based on teams worried about Allen, we need an upgrade. -
He still has time but as of now this team has not improved and you could argue they have taken a step back after losing Edmunds. We need to see what he paid for Poyer before giving that a grade and as of now the Dolphins may have the best team on paper in the division. The Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year because their GM had an amazing offseason both with trades/free agent signing and most important and amazing draft. Why is restructuring contracts some huge deal? unless your using the cap space to bring in difference making player then it's really not doing anything positive . The Bills need a big play RB and perhaps an upgrade at #2 receiver. We need to improve our offence , because no matter how much assets/resources the Bills stick into their defence they always seem to suck in the playoffs.

I like that he is returning, I will like it even more if we find out Beanne did not give him some stupid massive contract. He had not legit big offers, anything more than a 3 year deal with around 14-16 mllion guaranteed is overpaying because . You can absorb the final year that he may not play at 35 year old, cap number should be no more than 5-7 mllion range. The reality is there was never any huge market for him because of his age

Dude go bother someone else, you and I do not agree and your twisting my words about signing vets.

Myth Busters: The Bills Overpay / Roster Too Many Special Teamers
Niagara Dude replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have no problem paying special teams players that can also give you some plays on defence or offence. If not your better off signing undrafted free agents on min deals because you affecting your cap. -
I have no problem with vets that can do something, you seem top believe he can and I don't agree. BYE BYE
-
You know zilch if you think paying this guy 2mllion is a good move
-
You don't understand cap issues do you? That is the kind of money you use to sign vets on prove me deals, 2 million cap space on a specials teams dude is waste

Only position we don't have holes in QB If Rogers goes to the Jets then the Patriots may be the bottom basement team, outside of Allen and Diggs the Bills have no elite talent because we still don't know how Miller looks returning from injury at his age. This Bills team will take a step back next season unless Beanne can add a couple of play makers in free agency and hit on some picks. In previous seasons the Bills had easy time winning the division, that is not going to happen this coming year. Right now I would focus on getting a 3 down stud RB along with an elite speed WR to stretch the field. We signed a starting guard, now we need those two new toys for Allen so he can at least have weapons to compete with Mahomes and Burrows. Our defence is never going to be great or dominant, get another huge DT to stop the run and just focus on running up the score to beat teams. I would consider trading Oliver to the Titans for Henry, Oliver wants big money and is just too undersized to be a consistent week to week force. Having Henry and Cook would be a great thunder & lighting duo. That game in the snow against the Bengals is much different with a snowplow RB like Henry standing behind Allen, D-lineman are no longer just going to put their head down and go 100 miles per hour after Allen.

Allen is best QB in the division but Dolphins have much better surrounding talent. Keep in mind the Dolphins nearly beat us with their 3rd string QB in the playoffs.

This is why Beane will always be looking up chasing the Chiefs, it's these kinds of stupid signings that do not improve the team. Even far worse was resigning Tyler Matakevich, we waste 2 million in cap space for a 31 year old high motor/no talent special teams guy that will never play a down of regular defence. Does anyone remember any amazing special teams play this guy has made in 3 previous years. Only money you spend on special teams is for your kicker/punter and long snapper. Stunning that Tyler will be making more money than our punter/kicker and long snapper along with having a 2.5 dead money count against the cap should the Bills decide to cut him. Do the Bills already know that some undrafted rookie will not outshine him in camp? How about signing some younger guy with better athletic talent that has potential to give you some plays on defence. Maybe go check out the Chiefs cap sheet and see how many impactful players will be making less than the great Matekevich , you can start with Isaih Pacheco at half that amount or Toney at the same amount. Matakevich resigning has Sean's hands written all over it, the undersized high motor/high character guy who takes up a roster spot every Sunday. With all the injuries we had last season, you would think they would want more positional depth. As for Lewis, the two plays I would prefer to forget was costing us the Vikings game which would have won us home field and maybe we would be playing Jaguars and not Cincy who the Bills do not match up well against. Either way these are both two stupid signings, I would rather have 2 younger undrafted free agents with better athletic talent then these two.
-
That Unless Beane trades or signs for some help at both offensive line and WR then the Dolphins will be favoured to win the division. They have talent on that defence and elite speed at WR, not surprised to see them add a top 3 down RB. Meanwhile we have holes at every position except QB
-
I think they should resign Edmunds and trade Oliver, if I am choosing one of those two. At least Edmunds is not undersized for the position, I just don't see Oliver wroth anything more then 10-12 mllion a season because he is too small for the position.

Report: Dolphins exploring “moving on” from Tua

They would need to clear cap space, not much different then what the Bills did last season to sign Miller and a bunch of other free agents -

How is that? If the Jets get Rogers and Dolphins get Jackson this would be a very tough division. Again Beane needs to start hitting on picks like the chiefs did last season. Stop wasting picks on high motor goof boys and start drafting guys with size for lines and elite speed at skilled positions . You cannot teach size and speed, his 3rd rounder last season is a typical Sean pick, a high motor good guy who did nothing for the team last season. -
Strong vs. Weak Positional Groups - Draft
Niagara Dude replied to Yantha's topic in The Stadium Wall
Poyer really wants out....... who cares he is 32 and we need to move on and start adding youth to this team just like the Chiefs did last season. I pray the Bills do not resign him because it would be a huge mistake unless he wants to return and for less then 3-4 million. Most of his interception last season were tipped balls, go look at him getting smoked in that Bengals game when we"re playing against an elite QB. -
The fact is Sean has got this team to playoffs the past 4 seasons, which is great and all fans truly appreciate this. Can anyone dare say any other coach since Levy has had a QB with HOF skills and is a top 3-4 QB?. Zero of them did, so just making the playoffs because 85% of the time during the regular games you have the best player on the field is not going to cut it if you continue crap the bed come playoff time. 13 secs was one of the top 1-2 choke finishes ever in playoff history, you cannot just sweep that under there table and then with Bengals missing 3 starting offensive line players you get destroyed at home. I am sure Pegula has his own adviser, who is telling him that the Chiefs are killing it with drafting and killing it with their HC. This coming season will be very important, if we see another dud playoff game then the Marvin Lewis comparisons will come out. He was another DC turned HC who had so many great regular seasons and would then crap the bed come playoff time. Something lost this past season was the Bills nearly lost their opening playoff game to the Dolphins who were playing their 3rd string QB. They were more in a position to win that game late in the 4th quarter than we were ever in a position to beat Bengals.

Bingo, coaches don't just decide to take breaks. He was was pushed out this way to avoid further damage to Frazier's already crushed reputation and to avoid him leaking to the media about who is really behind the problems this defence has had in the playoffs. I wanted Frazier gone so now we can finally see who is really at fault, I think it would be a massive mistake letting Sean call defensive plays but Beanne will most likely do this because of Sean's massive ego. I still have no forgiven him for 13 secs, you don't blame others. He should have gone directly to his kicker to inform him about squib kick #1 and zero common sense on the 2 plays after that. A great HC does not allow this to happen, especially if your calling timeouts on each of those 2 plays. Like why were they worried about the sideline when KC had all of their timeouts? How about rushing only 3 with spy and just dragging down Kelce and Hill on first down play and then even Kelce could not believe they were conceding the middle of the field on second down. It was a loser finish and we most likely won't find out the truth until after next season when Frazier starts leaking stuff on what happened. I could never get how a player who played on the most aggressive defensive team (85 Bears) ever turned into some bend by not break DC playing soft zones with DB'S 8-10 off the line.
-
A polite way of asking him to leave, this gives him an opportunity for a fresh start next season with another team while not throwing him right under the bus and then he starts complaining to the media. I am sure we would have heard you really was behind the stupid play calling of 13 secs, so yes this way of dismissal avoids a messy divorce. Even after Dabol left you heard some things from Dabol's team in the media, I am sure it would have been far worse with Frazier. If you noticed it says he wants to return to coaching next season, the biggest part of that that statement is it never mentions returning to the Bills

Let's just hope Beane looks at what the Chiefs did and how they went young in the secondary last season and won a Super Bowl. This included letting their best secondary player and safety Tyrann Mathieu walk, he is also one year younger than Poyer. You cannot keep guys forever Tyrann Mathieu was a very good player for the Chiefs and helped them win a Super Bowl but was he getting older and they decided to go younger/cheaper.

Poyer is a product of Frazier's soft zone coverage, he is turning 32 and maybe has 1-2 seasons left. Bills cannot start paying big money to fringe stars who are on the wrong side of 30. They already have Hyde under contract for one more year, the transition to younger and less expensive players needs to begin now. I dare anyone to show me one amazing game changing play that Poyer made in the past 4 playoff years and games. Right now he is teasing some emotional Bills fans about signing with the Dolphins, who cares. Given his age and injuries he had last season I would not be surprised to see him be another Beasley, thinks he will receive better offers and then end up signing for far less. Insane to even mention giving a 32 year old fringe star a rich- long term deal. Not even the Dolphins are giving him that, he will ben lucky to see 2-3 deal with 12 -15 mllion guaranteed. A good but not great player who got a lot of tipped ball interceptions. Time to move on, either move White to safety or Benford.

Review the tape, yes they give up TD'S and yards but they also come up with big plays and stops when they need them.

KC has been very lucky that we have Frazier
