One big bright spot from the game - Kincaid

That is good because we need new young blood on the offensive line -
We need Bernard to at least be average
Niagara Dude replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
Only a preseason game, but if things go bad this season Beane is going to be on the hot seat. We essentially have one starting level LB on this team and the rest are useless -
Just sports, it's great we're contending and finally have an elite player at the most important position on the field. Some fans have higher expectations and losing to the Bengals at home the way we did was a serious let down after one of the biggest late game meltdowns jobs in NFL playoff history 13 secs. The AFC east is no longer a guarantee, the Dolphins and Jets are real and both got better this offseason. Should be an interesting season and let's see what happens, I am kinda happy pundits are not picking us like last season and hope that offers some motivation.
-
This all points to big games in the playoffs, 13 secs is all on him because he had timeouts and he needs to make sure everyone knows their job and what to do. It started with the kickoff and then next with DB'S playing off the line and trying to protect the sidelines when KC had timeouts. You can include not just holding guys on the first play to burn clock and only give up 5 yards. As for the Cincy game, they came out flat and it just never got it corrected. Yes the Bills have had some great regular season success, but a lot of those wins came against teams with garbage QB'S. I think this season will be Sean's biggest test, the division is no longer a given and the East (4 elite level QB'S alone)is stacked with good QB'S. I think Sean made a wise decision moving on from Frazier, not sure about getting rid of him and now calling defensive plays himself, but we shall see if it was him all along with the conservative no blitzing thinking or Frazier. If Sean shows to be aggressive and they start racking up sacks then Frazier is toast. If the opposite happens then Frazier can just claim it was Sean who did not like to blitz. We heard from Frazier that it was Sean who did not like sending extra guys to get to the QB.

Bills are one of the worse teams in wasting money on special teams players
-
I respectfully disagree, I hope I am wrong but this kid was overdrafted. When your that talented you don't need to wait until your turning 24 to jump to the pros, again I hope I am wrong but I said the same thing the night we drafted Ford and everyone was all hyped up.

Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
Niagara Dude replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not one player that you can turned into a star, just another reason why Beane was stupid to waste a first and fourth on a position that we already have Knox at. I don't care what number he had at Utah. They could have traded down and got an extra 3rd and taken the monster TE from Georgia. I like all his other picks, just wished he had picked up a monster size DT. -
I did not like our first rounder because the TE position had massive depth in this draft and no need to give up a 4th when we have holes to fill. I loved this pick and it was a massive home run , this guy can play and has elite size. Has something like 1500 drop backs without giving up a sack.
-
Why are people even making these comments , this pick is going to cost Breane . We needed help at other positions and they could have used a 4th to grab the massive TE from Georgia .
-
Another Cody Ford level pick, this guy will be lucky to see the field and why did they give Knox huge money. Stupid
-
This is not a first rounder, average speed 4.7 forty. Small school and we gave up a 4th rounder with much better players available, Beane has this team backwards and they will be fighting for wildcard. I see no overall improvement and this pick excites as much as the Cody Ford pick
-
DHopkins would cost a 2nd round pick...would you do it?
Niagara Dude replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am sure they put their demands out, for a receiver that will be 31 when the season arrives they will be lucky to get a 4th rounder. Hill was 27 when the Chiefs traded him. -
Florio raises an excellent question:

So obvious to see, only Beane apologists cannot see he has done next to nothing this offseason. Glad Mike called it -
AJ Klein Expected to Sign with Bills

Harris is the one major improvement and everyone blaming the line for our running game will see how average Singeltary was -
AJ Klein Expected to Sign with Bills
Niagara Dude replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sal with the propaganda announcement..... poised to sign Klein. What is so exciting about this signing? He could barley find a job last offseason because he is a very average playe. He ended up getting released by the freaking Bears in Nov. Klein represents another high motor/high character player with limited athletic talent that McDermott loves. So the Bills let Edmunds go and then spent 2 mllion in cap space on Matakevich and now are poised to sign Klein with McDermott both coaching and calling defensive plays. As of today the team has not improved at all and unless Beane can finally hit on draft picks the Bills have fallen backwards in the East. I pray I am wrong but the team will never win with McDermott"s thinking on having high motor character players. You think Andy Reid cares if his players are choir boys, talent wins in this league. -
Best QB in the league, you put Josh on either the Bengals or KC and he wins a Super Bowl. We have a GM and coach that have invested most of their money and resources on defensive side of the ball and provided Josh nothing but Diggs. What exactly was Diggs doing numbers wise before he arrived in Buffalo, good but not the type of number he has had playing with the best QB in the NFL. The fact is Gave Davis is not a #2 and Knox is an average TE. If they go out early again this year Sean will be done and Beane will be not too far behind. Look at KC, they released Frank Clark so they can add another top lineman and Beane just add another no name guy. Even receivers he signed, no name guys. I like the Harris signing but he still has not borough in another top end play make.

Like I said Singletary was average speed and no burst. Harris is 5'11 220 lbs with 4.45 speed, burst to the line and one cut and go. Watch these tapes and watch how many big runs he makes. Explodes, this is going to a great addition. We finally are going to a have a running game
-
Unlike some fans who think Singletary should return, Diggs is pushing for us too sign this guy. 235 lbs and runs a 4.5 forty, I guarantee teams will not have LB'S running backwards at the snap of the ball and we may even see play action. No DC is worried about Singletary and his average YPC is only because because give up those 12-15 year runs because they are focused on the pass.

Singletary—inarguably above average statistically: discuss
Niagara Dude replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
We're done on this topic, you seem to think Singletary is a great back ti have and I don't agree if we make to improve on bringing him back. No need to insult each other, it's ok not to agree with rock throwing. -

Niagara Dude replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is a reason we do not hear about any teams interested in signing him, he an average back and we have had a non existent running game for the past 3-4 years because of it. -

He is a solid backup and until they upgrade the position they are risking the longterm left of Allen. No more designed runs , at least not until the playoffs. There are zero teams talking about bringing him in for a visit, he is a depth player who if he does not resign with the Bills will sign some league min deal with another team and be playing special teams. -

How about you explain our playoff game, are you going to now say the Bengals missing 3 starters in our playoff game had a better offensive line to run the ball or just better running backs. Joe Mixon is both big and fast (4.45 forty) and he was able to get bigs runs behind a line of 3 backups. No, there is no NFL team signing or interested in Singletary as a longterm commitment. Do you hear about him visiting any teams, if he was so great and in demand you would hear something. Sure maybe a team would sign him for depth purposes on some one year prove it contract but he never getting any huge guaranteed longer term deal. Maybe explain why Allen needs to run so much on designed run calls and you don't see designed runs for either Burrows or Mahomes. Get a starting RB and stop this nonsense with Allen, we don't need a Cam Newton situation. -

Niagara Dude replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bengals game was a perfect example of not having a starting level RB with both size and burst. Thurman Thomas was not some blazing fast RB, but he had excellent burst into the line. Singletary does not have any burst and that average is based on limited touches and teams loading up against the pass. I want to see the Bills get a legit starting RB and stop this nonsense of exposing our star QB Allen to taking so many hits because they are using him to run the ball. Why are passing teams like KC and the Bengals able to run the football. -

Niagara Dude replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do you even understand anything about burst to the line? probably not. Why do you think Allen is running so much and taking so many hits, with teams loading up against the pass the running game is there. They have not had a starting level RB in years, Singletary relies on quickness and making guys miss. That is not going to happen against most NFL defensive players. He is an average RB and no team will offer him a contract because of it. How about you Singletary supporters explain if he was so good and it's all on the line why no other teams are interested. Sure resign him at league min, but if they want to improve on offence they need a starting level RB so were not asking our QB to run the ball and expose him to hits.
