What big plays has he made over his career that have changed games? the is a good corner but not elite which he and his agent think he should paid like. Byrd was more of big play maker and we let him go, Gilmore looks robotic at times. Teams that pay players that kind of money require big plays, he had many opportunities to make plays on Thursday night and failed.

Can anyone really say this guy is worth the kind of money he and his agent thinks he should receive? Top corners make big plays and that does mean making tackles 30-40 yards down the field after you give-up a huge pass play. Gilmore does not seem to be an elite lock down corner that other teams are afraid of attacking. The first drive against the Jets on Thursday night was a game changer (8 min drive) and he could have got us off the field on their first 3rd down opportunity. Quincy Enunwa is the Jets #3 WR and he burned him. Great corners make a play on that ball or ones that want to paid 12-15 millon a season. I would prefer to use that kind of money on free agent pass rushing LB or DE.

I still remember Fitz outrunning our Lorenzo Alexander to get a seven yard gain, this roster is garbage and the Jets showed that. I cannot wait for Whaley to be fired, drafting EJ and trading picks for Sammy have killed this franchise. Really... our WR position after Sammy who he gave a boat load to get is garabge. Robert Woods as # 2 and our LB'S are a bunch of street bums. Very few play makers on defense this season and it showed Thursday.

Gilmore is an average corner, who does not make plays

Keep in mine this guy is a 6th round rookie.

I would not touch Gilmore, he is not an elite or even great corner.

That was just a stupid comment, I would take a second round pick for EJ and be very happy with it.

We will stink and this will be the biggest problem this season, i am for trading Gilmore to get another pass rusher. Gilmore is never going to be an elite play making corner and we will end -up over paying. Our position with the most depth is corner and he would get you the most in return.

Not sure this guy is enough of a game changer to spend this kind of dough. I would attempt a sign & trade and see if we can get a # 1 pick in return, you need more picks from a guy if you are paying him that much money.

Hard to ignore the the leader of our division has made moves to get better and they were already good, Miami has also made some solid moves. How can you be talking about last year when we were not even a playoff team? You don't get better by losing players and the two teams you mentioned also have franchise QB's we do not. Much easier to lose players and still be good when you have elite QB play, if the plan is to ground & pound then the defense is just not good enough to win. IMO...

This has been one of the worst offseasons in years, still not getting how you get better with holes at both LB & DE. This falls on Whaley and how we are cap hell.

Yes this has been a poor offseason, how is anyone getting excited when we lost more players then we signed off a 8-8 team. Some of these signings are of average players while teams around us are getting better with both trades & signings. Not sure how you expect to be a better team with huge holes at DE & LB?

This has too be connected with the hiring on Rex's brother, should have been done after the season with our loser ST'S coach.

No i think we will be worst then last season and i expect both Whaley (made a mess of our cap) and Rex to be fired after the season. This team has lost way more then they have added.

Looks like the Dolphins are getting stronger while Bills if anything appear to be weaker. Who is going to play the defensive end position left behind by Mario Williams? Whaley has made a mess of our salary cap, way too much dough for average type players. I am just not seeing how our defense gets better with some major subtractions and nothing coming back our way. Where are the play makers on this team with all the money we have spent?

On the wrong side of thirty, could care less if he returns. Not interested in seeing the Bills hand over a 33 old guard big money when guard is one the easiest position on the line to find a replacement. Alex Boone is younger and would be a much better investment.

They have some true stars that make plays, we have a bunch of guys that just make big dough. This defense will never be more then average to good with the current talent they have. Our staring LB'S are one of worst in the NFL,

Good there are better younger options, would not pay more then 4-5 mill for 3 years with 8 mill guaranteed.
