The most encouraging rookie camp observation that I saw
Niagara Dude replied to TigerJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Coaches always look smarter when you give them better players to work with, the group last year was a bunch of scrubs and yet it is the coach we blame. -
Bills did nothing but sign mediocre free agents, other than the center there was really nothing to get excited about. You win games in this league because of match ups and having guys who can make huge plays. I don't see any of that and their draft was not much better other than first round pick, i thought with our record we really need to sign 2-3 big time players. The DE Murphy who Beane signed last season is a classic example of the types of players Beane is bringing to Buffalo. Guys who come here because they don't have many other options.

Devin Singletary excited to feel wanted by Bills.

This was a bad pick that the Bills did not have a need for to begin with. -
Raiders Trade Opportunity?

5th or 6th rounder at best -
This what makes this pick even more stupid, the guy is slow and small and yet will end up making the team just because he was picked 3rd. The needed WR help and grab some guy who was beasting in a very weak conference. I had no problem drafting a true homerun RB , Beane even admitted he is not that.

This was a very questionable pick, small and slow usually don't add up to success in this league. He won't be going against guys he played in his weak conference, fans should check who they were playing. This draft was disappointing because the Bills never picked up a WR and that was a need, Sean is so focused on ground and pound he forgets that this is a passing league. I am sorry but Beasley and Brown are not doing much to move the needle, look at what the Browns surrounded Mayfield with. We spent all of last season complaining about guys not getting separation or dropping passes and they do nothing in this area. Everything for this HC is all about CAVEMAN football, i just hope the development of Allen does not suffer because he is paired with a defensive minded coach. This kid has the tools and a great attitude and you saw how hiring the right HC did for young QB'S with Rams & Bears.

1. Oliver was a great choice 2. Ford looks like a decent choice and could be more of a guard than tackle at 6"3 Rest of the players look mediocre and none look like future starting players, they are either too small or too slow for there positions, Bills failed to address drafting a big WR with speed to help out our young QB. I thought the Bills should have just traded all there remaining picks after Ford pick to get back into 2nd round and draft DK, we already signed a boatload of mediocre players in free agency. I hope i am totally wrong on players after the second round but i just don't see anything there.

SI's Benoit: Oliver pick gets a C
Niagara Dude replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow! i hate to see what he thinks of our other picks because Oliver was the best , our last two picks will be off the roster once Sean and Beane are fired. Like is Sean going to keep 7-8 RB'S on this team. -
I think the most stupid pick was the tiny RB who ran about 4.7 in 40, Maholmes has guys who can make big plays on the outside and Allen has nothing. I thought this draft would focus on getting Allen a couple of playmakers or at least one. Fans on this board must have missed last season when announcers kept repeating how the Bills receivers could not get separation. Other than the first round pick this draft was very disappointing and out offense will suffer this season because of it, i am sorry but i am not interested in watching Allen take off and run 10-12 times a game or more because receivers are not open down the field. This team does not even have a legit #2 receiver let alone a true #1/ If this was not an issue then why was Beane trying to trade for head case WR Brown,

Some of you guys must work for Bills PR dept, every pick you love. This draft will end up getting both Sean and Beane fired, this RB ran about a 4.7, ok to be small if you are the fastest guy on the field. He will never be that in the NFL -

Why? Ford is 6'3 so he will play inside -
RD 2, Pick 38: OT Cody Ford, Oklahoma

Right, i am sure Beane will now draft a WR who can block and plays with a high motor. -
RD 2, Pick 38: OT Cody Ford, Oklahoma

Then Beane should have done after Taylor who was one of the best tackles available -
RD 2, Pick 38: OT Cody Ford, Oklahoma

Why was Beane trying to trade for Brown? major weaknesses at skilled positions and nothing they signed in free agency going to fix it -
RD 2, Pick 38: OT Cody Ford, Oklahoma

Why did they not trade up JAWAAN TAYLOR if they wanted a OT? i would have been fine with Taylor . Ford is around 6'3
