Hogan started off a bad guy in the late 70's and early 80's. Classy Freddie Blassie was his manager. I got lots of the old AWA stuff on tape. Including the first Andre the Giant vs. Hogan match. Great stuff! Hogan turning bad guy in the 90's was a good thing for wrestling. Wrestling was in their dead point and then the NWO came in w/ the whole Sting thing with him turing into the Crow. That got wrestling back in the prime time. WCW almost put Vince out of business at one point.

Ah hold on guys.... Dont forget about Gordon Solie.... This guy was the Godfather of play by play. He mostly stayed in the Southern areas and was the NWA-Georgia and Florida play man. Great person and his book is OUTSTANDING! Lots of stories about the true people and star of wrestling and how they are crooks and back stabbers behind the ring...

Missing Link and Brian Pillman came out of there. Freebirds/Von Erich war is priceless!

No no no. Memphis Championship Wrestling. Mid South was way different. I have most of those too. Mid South was owned by Cowboy Bill Watts and was a GREAT SHOW! But Memphis took the cake!

I love Hogan, but his best was when he was in the AWA.... Hogan after 87 only wrestled twice a year due to Vince having to pay him 4 million per match...

1. Gorgeous George (Hogan, Flair, Savage would not be without him and his style) 2. Abdullah the Butcher (500 pounds and still wrestling, he is well in his 60's and had some great feuds 3. Jerry Lawler (Ruled Southern Wrestling! Memphis pre 90's is the best damn wrestling show in my collection!) 4. Jim Crockett Promotions (Took the NWA out of Florida and went prime time on WTBS! Best friggin wrestlers and feuds!) 5. Randy Savage/Ricky Steamboat (Best workers in the business! Greatest match of all time!) 6. The Midnight Express (nothing to them at all, not big or nothing. But Jim Cornett made that team the greatest of all time! Never backed down to nobody and use to wrestle almost every night! Next to the Road Warriors/Russians/and Rock and Roll express!)

The last 10 years have been a push and pull with both parties looking at country and world issues half faced... I feel right now the Rep has had the best damn thing happen to them. The American public gets a taste of the Dems for the next 2 years. 1. The Iraq problem is not going to be solved ( I hope a better situation) but we will still be there 2. Does terrorism get a break from the stress and pounding? If this country sees another attack or our interests in the world are attacked will the public look at the Dems as weak? Possible.... 3. Taxes... I think we know how this may pan out here... Is there one Dem that will stand out in 2008 as a "true leader" and can win over the American public.... Ah $%^ no... Does anyone really want the Clintons back in office? So 2008, How does it all play out? I think the Rep take back over in a landslide... and we have another Rep president for 4 years...
