Jim Kelly was great. But if Josh was the QB of that team with the talent on that team, we would have had 4+ Lombardi trophies.
-
Where would Jim Kelly in his prime rank amongst todays QBs?
tomur67 replied to ghostwriter's topic in The Stadium Wall
Totally disagree with the statements that Jim Kelly didn't have the arm strength compared to today's QBs. You think Tua or Russell Wilson have stronger arms than Kelly had. Wrong, and there are others today that are fairly successful that don't throw as well as Jim did. -
12/15/24 Week 15 Bills @ Lions Game Post Game Thread

Can you believe? When Josh gets his next rushing touchdown, he will tie Thurman Thomas for career rushing TD's. He is an alien. -
Stafford , what drug were you on last week?

I thought it was hilarious that it what was coach Sean McVay's description of Josh. Maybe, he is.

Quarterbacks and "fake slide" controvery
tomur67 replied to I'm Spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe the QB could raise his arm (like calling for a fair catch) when going to slide. If he doesn't raise his arm he's going to be tackled. Seems to me to be an easy solution. -
terrible, terrible ending to a game.

great play

Nico Collins is one of the best receivers in the NFL and has burned quite a few veteran safeties in the league, as well as Bishop, give the kid a break. There aren't any DB's in the league that don't get beat occasionally, even the best all-pros. Good wr's are just too talented and have the advantage.
-
I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this before, but wasn't it surprising that we didn't have a DB on the field that that could catch 250 pound Derrick Henry run practically the whole length of the field. I think it was said that run was one of his longest runs ever, probably because most teams have a DB that could take him down before he gets to the end zone. I don't think anyone got even close to him.

I don't understand why you have any offensive players on the kickoff team. I would think you would want say your backup LBs, CBs and Safeties on the kickoff team.

In the first series against the Bears, KC DB’s got flagged 3 times for holding. Do you think the word is out to stop KC from holding?

What is your drink limit before you get behind the wheel?

One. But, when eating a meal I might have two. -
Used to be a season ticket holder and loved it. Now being older we migrate down to Florida for the winter. So, on game day I'm sitting on my recliner with my laptop on my lap watching the Bills and also watching Red Zone on the big screen TV. Also on the side, I do a little wagering on Draftkings. I love it. Can't wait for the season to start.

When many are trying to tear Josh Allen down, remember this game that will go down in NFL history. 2022 playoff game Buffalo 47- Patriots 17 1. The Bills scored TD's on seven straight possessions. 2. The Bills never punted, turned the ball over, or faced a 4th down. 3. Josh threw more TD passes (5) than incomplete passes (4) 4. The Bills had 51 offensive plays and only two plays were negative and those two were Josh's kneeldowns. When the "experts" try to convince us that Josh doesn't play well in the playoffs, this is one example that totally contradicts that. This game was the greatest offensive game ever played in NFL history since the beginning of the superbowl era.

Has anyone gotten training camp “lottery” tickets yet?
tomur67 replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
No training camp tickets? It's Josh Allen's fault. -
Who was your all-time favorite player that was NOT on the Bills?

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
tomur67 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I totally agree. I want this WR group to surprise and disappoint all those naysayers.
