For a guy with 0 career starts coming into the year, he has been great. I believe that he will develop into a very good QB. He's basically a rookie on the field. Do we want to start over again with a rookie next year? I don't.

2 weeks ago when we still controlled our own destiny people were saying that we would win out and make the playoffs. I wrote that we had won 2 in a row once all year so why would anyone think that we could win 5 in a row? Same thing today, why would anyone think that we will win 3 in a row? We haven't done it before so why now?

Living in Mississippi, I have seen a lot of Kelly at East Mississippi CC and Ole Miss. It would be a gamble worth taking, in my opinion. Kelly has a huge arm, can run and is accurate. He is also prone to bad turnovers, trouble and he is as dumb as a box of rocks. If he has matured, and that's a big if, he has the talent to be a very good NFL QB. He also has the head to be Ryan Leaf. It would surely be a big gamble, but one with a huge potential upside.

I thought the same thing. If he gets hurt, Rex would have had some serious explaining to do.

Just watching the previews it looks like much of the film cites Mike Webster as the poster boy for CTE. The problem with that is the Steeler teams from the 70's are believed to be the first heavy steroid users and were supposedly using things like horse steroids. Who knows how much that contributed to the problems?

Why would anyone possibly think that we will win 5 in a row. First off, our longest winning streak is 2 (once). Secondly, a team has to be consistent to win 5 in a row. Do we appear, in any way, to be a consistent team?

I live down south so I have to watch the Bills games at a sports bar without the sound. I didn't think twice on the Hogan play. He ran about 5 yards laterally with the ball. How long do you have to have it to be a catch? The obvious push off on Gilmore was a terrible miss by the refs.

The thing that I am confused about is the schemes. Everyone keeps saying that the players have to get used to Rex's schemes. Pettine was his D coordinator in NY so shouldn't they be similar? Brown and Bradham were rising stars and now they look totally lost. Even when our D doesn't get scored on, they still give up 30-40 yards of field position and are on the field for 5-6 minutes. It seems like they only get a 3 and out once or twice a game.

You can never have too many good corners. We have 4 legit corners now in Gilmore, Darby, McKelvin and Robey. We should be able to man up and blitz a lot. I thought that was Rex's scheme but so far this year it hasn't. I hope this changes it.
