Free agency, in my opinion, should be used to sign solid role players in weak spots on your team. Going after the big name guy and giving a huge contract has usually not worked out.
I'm no expert but I watched 5-6 Louisville games the past few years. Jackson looks like a great athlete but a very poor passer to me.
Here is his last college game. Some decent throws but some horrible accuracy also.
I'm not an expert but I have seen him play a few times and against good defenses his accuracy was not only poor, it was simply awful.
I looked up his stats for last year. Against four good defenses he was;
Clemson 21-42 317 yards 3td 1int
Florida St. 13-21 156 yards 1td 0int
Mississippi State 13-31 171 yards 2td 4int
Virginia 15-26 195 yards 3td 2int
He is a great runner but he fumbled 11 times last year.
I learned that many of our "board experts" (26 Cut and Paste, who ranted "Smith sucks, Smith sucks, Smith sucks and anyone who disagrees is an idiot"), are nowhere to be found in this thread. And he is in EVERY thread. LOL
Have you ever sat back and thought that others may just simply have different opinions than you? Or maybe you don’t know everything there is to know about football rather than telling everyone with a different opinion how they don’t know anything?
No, it’s just that your always such a d bag and think you have to dominate every thread and you speak in absolutes as if your opinion is the only one that matters.
My opinion of him is that he would be an excellent fit here. I seem to think more of his skills than most but I believe he is vastly superior to Case Keenum.
Everyone realizes that he was the highest rated QB in the NFL this year right? Higher than Brady, Brees, Rodgers, all of them. A 4th?, A 3rd? I think it's going to be more than that.
Been watching football for 40 years. I have never seen a false start called and then overturned and encroachment given. It seems like every Patriots game has one of these strange occurrences and they always go in their favor.
Many of you armchair analysts are hilarious. To say Tyrod is "trash" or label people fanboys who wanted our teams QB to succeed is idiotic. You don't have an above .500 W-L record and TD-Int ratio as good as his by being "trash". Tyrod is very limited in what he can do, I agree. We need to move on and if we ever want to take the next step we need to upgrade our passing game. That said, Tyrod by any measure has been the most successful QB we have had in 20 years. By all accounts been a great teammate, hardworking and has never been publicly outspoken even when he was benched. We should have some appreciation for the successes that he has brought to the Bills organization.
