So reflecting on this season as I’m so bored as we wait for kickoff. Do you any you wish we would have made any one more move before the deadline? The only reason I ask is remember when many of wanted to go out and make a move for Yannick Ngakoue? Then of course you see a conference competitior go out and make an aggressive move to get him, now we have to line up against him. In the hypothetical situation that our run defense gets slashed tonight should we have tried to acquire a bigger body in the middle? Again this in in no way meant to second guess anything we have done. Diggs was our big move on offense and we couldn’t ask for much more on that side of the ball. I wouldn’t trade this season and the way it’s played out for the world. Im just curious what you all think!

I would like to see someone on our defense come up with a game breaking play early. A momentum shifter like Taron's int against the Steelers. Maybe Poyer?!

I understand what the OP is saying. If you read most message boards it seems the consensus seems to be "Look what Daboll did with Allen". He can do it with anyone. This offense success is a sum of many parts this year though, lots of talent spread over the field and by all accounts from analysts his scheming has been fantastic. Continuity has been huge too. No doubt he is worthy of a head coaching opportunity like the other hot coordinators. But I don't think other fans other than us really know the amount of work Allen himself has put into this. His choice looks to be the Chargers, it makes to much sense with Herbert as a start. Will he succeed? I have no idea. I sometimes wonder if he really has a feel for the game at times. He can be frustrating with his play calls. Will he be a coach who wants to call the plays or does he delegate? Does he have the demeanor to lead a whole team and keep them steady handed when things aren't going well. I think it's likely in 2-3 years we will know if he will be something special or trending to end up like a Josh McDaniels- some coaches are just better coordinators. That is also why Leslie Frasier will never be a head coach again. Daboll may be back here if it doesn't work out. It will be bittersweet though. We are rocking right now and change will be tough. Mcd needs to find the right guy!

I just watched 15 minutes of Lamar on GMF and it was all his running highlights from last game. It makes him a threat no doubt. We have to respect that and our players can’t break from their assignments. Somehow I hope our D can force or dare him to beat us with his arm. Show me he has become a passer who can go toe to toe with 17.

Woke up and realized we have like three weeks of football left. It’s been an amazing ride no matter what happens. Hope we can play for another week after this but it could go either way. Even with Covid in the Nfl it’s been a nice distraction for me!

Great Post, I initially wanted the Colt's first round. I was very wrong. I think some teams just match up better than others . The Colts matched up really well against us. It was a great hurdle to come out with the W. I hope it can propel us even further.

I was doing some reading on O line Rankings and Rivers is one of the least sacked Qb, least hit Qb all season. Part of this also due to his quick release. I am now thinking this may have been the worst matchup for Our defense. Our front four is built on speed and to get home with pressure. When we can’t even sniff the Qb it hurts us at the second level. I think we struggle against the teams that have focused on building big stout olines.

I agree. Granted I barely paid attention to them all year. I thought we would do more to Rivers, create a turnover or 2. They are tough. They find a young Qb along with Taylor they will be in good shape.

Our d line is is pretty small by standards? Don’t we rely on speed in up front to get pressure on the qb. It seemed like even 5-6 couldn’t get to Rivers. I’d be curious to know how our line has fared against teams with bigger lineman. It seemed like our linebackers and secondary were running around with their heads cutoff at times.
