  1. I don’t think Scott Law is that far off in his comments. At that time everyone considered us to be the best team ready to knock off the Chiefs. After the game I think most analysts would probably state a pretty sizeable gap still exists between us and them. Sure the Chiefs have lost a few guys but no one is going to put us ahead of them in the power rankings until we prove it on the field. In my opinion we haven’t done enough on the defensive side yet to say we can be any better the third time around. We still have some time but are money is being eaten up fast if not already.
  2. I think by keeping the continuity All together, Beane has just set the core for this team to compete in a Superbowl over the next 3-4 years. He is doing what a lot of teams seem to not be doing and that is protecting your franchise Qb and giving him what he needs to succeed. Great job! I actually think this benefits us more in years to come as opposed to this year. We know what were getting and that’s fine but could we have used resources somewhere else at say accepting the loss of Mongo? If anything my concern is we really haven’t addressed anything yet on Defense other than keep Milano in the fold. That was big. But we are still far off from being able to attack Kc like Tampa could. I thing Mcd scheme puts us in a tough spot against a team like Kc.we don’t jam at the line. Our guys are usually not able to keep up running with their speed and are out of position. If we aren’t changing scheme then We need an edge rusher badly. I’m sure Beane has this in control..But not all of his moves on the dline have been great. For you draft gurus out ther can we find a good edge rusher at 30?
  3. Anyone think Belichick could be on the hot seat? Seems inplausible to me and he would probably be given the dignity to walk away when ready but reading through some Pats forums Some Pats fans mentioned he has two out three losing seasons without Tom at the helm. Less than stellar drafts and questionable free agent signings.

  5. I’d personally rather spend some money on A pass rusher at this point if we could make it work. We need to get better in that area. Or a Tight end if they want to go that route. I would say if anything take a shot in the draft at running back.
  6. I thought I would just throw the question out there as Free Agency is days out! The Wizard already pulled off two moves I didn’t think could happen. Fantastic that we have shored up our Two Tackles for Three seasons. Keeping Matt is one less hole to fill at that position! But... With that being said, End of Season press conference he was clearly not satisfied with our TE production? Are we going to roll with Knox once more season and hope he picks up his game? It’s not often many Tight ends hit the market like this Free Agency. Is there a Player we can find who is ready to wreak some Havoc on opposing Qbs? Can he manipulate the cap a bit more and push some money to future seasons when the Tv deals kick in? Or are we essentially done and on to the draft! Keeping the status quo is good for the long Haul.. I’d be curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on the state of this roster as it stands and if it can Be a Championship Roster.
  7. Wait... Isn’t Bill a genius?!
  8. Clearly the Dolphins are trying to follow our footsteps in pursuit of Carolina Players. It will be interesting to see how he performs if we are facing him twice a year. I guess Miami’s current punter is currently a Free Agent.
  9. That Yacht will look good on Lake Erie for five months of the year!
  10. Wow a Nice Surprise! We get a pass rusher I am starting to feel pretty good about this D. Also I am sure the last thing Beane wanted to see was Milano walk to Cleveland..
  11. I am going to miss Smoke. I thought he was the beginning of something special that's been building. Ideally wish they could all be part of bringing a Championship here. Not meant to be. We do need to get some speed on the field somewhere. Our number 4 whoever that ends up being needs to be fast..
  12. The whole topic of Cap management is really interesting. On one hand I think Beane has done an incredible job with outs. He won’t ever get us into that situation of carrying all that dead cap money in the future again like a few years ago. Yet we pumped way to much money into a Dline that’s underachieved to what’s been invested. We also have a mantra of wanting to draft and keep our own. While Milano might not be worth top tier dollars. if we look at him in context to our other draft picks he may just be the best of the bunch and he’s gone. Now obviously circumstances have a part in this. Covid cap has really put a wrench for a team like us because we are so close. Yet this season I don’t think we can really go all In for it. We have are now having to pick and choose where to spend. Unless Beane somehow can land a bunch of stars at one year rentals.. many teams are in similar situations, but some teams with lots of cap space will close the gap. I honestly think this season is more about hold the Fort steady. We are very much a legitimate threat -12-13 win team again but we need to get lucky in my opinion to see this roster jump to Super Bowl quality. With the bigger cap on the horizon I am sure Beane is already looking ahead to next year crop of Free agents and trying to see what make sense this year and beyond. If this is their best chance to land someone who can get to the Qb then go for it. There are guys out there and it’s a need. I’m particularly interested in Lawson because of his age and something along the lines of most Qb pressures of all the free agents out there. My prediction is that Beane has to sign one more of our lineman back it and it will be Mongo. He has more versitality than Williams. We probably draft a tackle or find a value free agent if any available. Plus I think Williams will be looking to get paid and someone with more cap space will sign him. If somehow we can get them both good but not at the expense of not finding someone who can get to the Qb. Beane makes two splashes in Free Agency- one will be one of the better Pass rushers available. I’m sure he can be creative with the cap to push some money to future years. The other I am unsure of- I’m keeping an eye on Tight End because it’s not too often so many options hit the market. How do they really feel about Knox? The other is possibly a number 2 Corner. Beane has his work cut out for him this season.
  13. Pat Macafee said something interesting today on his show. I must also mention I haven't followed the specifics of Dak's contract number this year. But he said something along the lines of "Do you think Jerry knows something in that the Cap is going to be much higher than we are hearing"? I just though that was interesting as isn't this week supposed to be a blood bath of players getting cut.. This could also just be Pat being Pat lol
  14. I’m thinking we now resign Mongo. Not only does he start at Guard he can come in and replace Morse God forbid he has another concussion. He would be our best option for a replacement centre. Cody occupies the other guard spot and we don’t resign Williams. Draft a tackle. I think with Josh ability to escape and evade especially coming from his not blind side we can live with that. Then Beane throws some money on the d side of the ball or tight end. We Have to give something up on the oline this year to address other needs. I also think Mongo will cost less than Williams
  15. The Tight end doesn’t need to be thr focal point from option A or B to throw too in this offense but we need someone who can be dangerous and respected enough that linebackers have to defend. Take away One less defender for our guys to block in the run game. It goes hand in hand. I think we find that this offense takes it too another level. I don’t think Knox has shown that yet. I get that he’s young but Beane specifically brought up their play for a reason. And as others have said we have a window. If Ertz has something left and if Beane thinks it an upgrade for a year or two, i think he at least explores it. He could be a good Mentor for Knox as well. I will be surprised if this area isn’t addressed in one way or another.
  16. BTW, Is the opt out in play for another season? Have we heard any hints from Star himself on his plans for this season? The reason I ask is a week or so ago I Saw a report on Good Morning Football that the Pats were definitively getting a host of players back from opt out last season..
  17. Is this really a rumour? I mean we all love Dion but he isn’t actually Front Office...nor anywhere close for that matter.. or close to close... Maybe Dion and Micah should work together..
  18. Unless they are a former Panther I don’t want them!!
  19. I think the opposite. The Pats need to pay more money to grab free agents.. at least until they figure out their qb situation. If they fix that maybe.
  20. Kyle Van Noy Watch..How many Pages can we get this up too?
  21. The missing Piece to the Cardinals Superbowl run...Watt?? Horrible choice from a Superbowl run perspective...but money trumps!
  22. I would be surprised if he goes with Cleveland over us and GB. If he does this I think more money was a factor. If he signs with the Browns I think it's kind of lackluster move for all this wait. The Browns really have no sustained playoff success. I am not sure Watt along all of a sudden makes them Superbowl Contenders. I guess yeah playing along Miles is somewhat of a story, but I think the hype goes way down. While Baker was better I am still kind of not sold on him in the clutch. JJ Will at some point in the season probably will want to punch Baker in the head. Green Bay is an interesting choice because of his roots. However they still have to go through Brady. I am not even convinced how much longer Rodgers could be in the mix there after this season. There is tension going on when the Pack drafted a QB. Now us I am obviously biased but. I think our Super Bowl Window is longer than the Pack. For reasons above the Rodgers relationship would maybe make think twice if I am looking to get a few more years out of a team. No issue here with JA and supporting cast. Look how much fun our team is. We have Josh ascending to new heights, Diggs, Tre. Lots of fun with this roster. Plenty of Primetime Games! The culture is here is fantastic, Watt will fill right in. Watt would make an impact on this D. Bills Mafia has his back and will probably donate thousands to his charity at some point. I think Beane has a read on what he is worth to this team. Would structure a contract that benefits him over the last couple years but helps us this year. However we know he won't sacrifice the future of this team for One Guy. IF Beane puts forth his best offer and it's not good enough, move on to someone else.
  23. I was a big Payne fan! Too bad I never got to see him play live in person. He went out on top with US Open and Ryder Cup that year. But yeah colorful guy and dressed lt up on the course!
