I loved the play call to Braeida, that exactly how the Chargers beat teams with Eckelar. Need to see more of that when they want to Blitz.

Josh decision making has been bad, I’m not sure what he’s thinking on some of his throws, maybe it’s arm arrogance in thinking he can the fit the ball in there. Maybe eat the sack I don’t know or try to get out of the pocket and throw the ball away. But Daboll is doing a piss poor job and I’m ready to move on. Go back and look at his second Int in the third quarter, the ball that was tipped. We have seven guys trying to offer I guess as max protection as it can be. Knox, the back and five lineman. It’s still a cluster mess. (Insert swear word) Three Wr set. My problem with Daboll stems from his Wr routes. As the Colts are just dropping into coverage. Third and eight needing to get to the 30. Beasley and Sanders are running 13-18 yards downfield when see above 7 men have already failed to block for Josh. Sanders is at the 40! Beasley 35. The colts are dropping into zone. Now on the other end not one of our receiver can even get open! Beasley trying to sit in a zone with two defenders around him and Sanders is so close to Beasley vicinity and covered that there was enough time for those defenders to come over and pick the ball off. I’ve seen these deep route schemes all season long. Why not more quick slants to Diggs or shorter routes like outs or comeback. Right now when our guys are asked to go medium to deep I don’t think they have been great at getting open. Beas and Sanders just might be slowing down.. More often than not our best plays are Josh buying time and both him and receiver creating something out of chaos. They need to use Braieda like an Ekeler. Have him roll out under the coverage and try to hit him running and see what he can do. His speed is evident. They need to make teams account for him. He should be the main back. What is being put out there offensively is just not good enough and would any one complain if we choose to go in a different direction?

I think maybe the Covid issue is a valid point that could be lingering in the locker room. If it’s single digit like some have figured out we have a number of prominent players in those digits.. We probably have a portion who believe in the vax. I think Hughes was pretty outspoken about the importance of it. We know Dion had it and we think by all accounts his play has suffered. Then I wonder how many maybe not wanted to get the vax but did it for the better good of the team. Then you probably have those players who see it as doing it for the better good for the team or believe in it look at other teams who are close to 100 percent vaccinated. That would be pretty frustrating as a competitor. It’s got to be frustrating that we are in playoff hunt mode Star is missing when we need him most. Spencer clearly brings something to the line and we don’t seemingly have anything worth a damn behind these two guys. I thought we needed to prove we could win despite them but im not so sure. Maybe this is reading way too much into this, I don’t know but I bring up this quote from way earlier in the year. How many of us really thought we might slow down Taylor today without Star? I don’t expect Mcd to be on the hot seat this off-season (right or wrong)but I do think coaching changes will be made. Beane for all his magic has overvalued or ignored the trenches on this roster. Unless we somehow find a way to pull out a Super Bowl appearance , this season will be a massive disappointment. Its been to this point anyhow but someone has to take the fall. I think Dabol will be out and it might not even be because he was offered a head coaching gig. He might not. I’m ready for a fresh take with this offense and I do realize it’s not all on Dabol. But for whatever reason this offense hasn’t found any sort of rhythm this season. I think questionable play Design and calls have really taken a step back this season. I think I would be fine with this and ready for a new direction:

The D line has been a massive disappointment. Just good enough to phase the MIke Whites but never good enough to affect the poised Qbs.

Umm I’m thinking No Gameballs today.

We spent our offseason doing what was needed to catch the Chiefs- which was get after Mahomes, invest more in the Dline. Which honestly guys isn’t really good at all. The only time we hit the qb is after the play. Meanwhile every other team was figuring out how to stop our offenses and build big physical teams that can run over us and do just enough in the passing game.

Lol that’s our dline in a nutshell all year.

I actually really feel good about this game now. I am sure the players hear all the Patriots are coming talk and at this point in the season this team needs another big win like Kc. This is the day we need to make a statement that we are the threat in the AFC. Injuries aside other teams are winning big games missing players. I think we cover GO Bills!

Tomorrow I plan on making a nice Old Fashioned for the game with Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Pure Canadian Maple Syrup.
