DK Metcalf traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers
loveorhatembillsfan4life replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we all could see that at the time a Cooper type player was needed to open some things up and Beane almost had no choice to do something. Once again we seem to have this void to fill, I guess resign Hollins, as he has been the best of the bunch Beane has cheaply tried to invest in. I get that we averaged 30 points a game or what not but I still want to know who we can count on to step up and make a clutch catch play when needed? I remember some Analyst saying last year Beane blindly throwing darts at the Wr position and hope something works.. I had hoped this offseason will be different but now I’m not sure how many options are left? -

Steelers are going after Darnold. I think Russ is done. -
Browns ink Myles Garrett to an Extension

Garrett wanted to know what it’s like to Win, which will probably not happen now anytime soon in his career. Haslam wouldn’t even give him the time of day to meet with him. Then they both agree to this ! I haven’t been too impressed with Andrew Berry but maybe he just dug in and said no way we are moving you. Hilarious he agreed to a no trade clause as well. -
Goddammit, I'm sick of excuses

I kind of get it. Your waiting for someone other than Allen to make a play in the biggest moments. Or maybe having our Coaches break some trend and try something not seen before..We need so many parts to be better than the opposition when it’s all on the line.. and it hasn’t happened. -
NFL may push touchbacks up to the 35 yard line
loveorhatembillsfan4life replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually think this is great and was discussed by coaches last season. I think Sean Payton said even just moving it up five yards will create more returns as teams will now be more reluctant to kick through the end zone. -
Superbowl Game Thread - Chiefs vs Eagles

So the Eagles overhauled one of the worst defenses last year to one of the the best in one offseason? And signed Saquon… Really impressive! -

Funny the worst Super Bowl has maybe turned into the Best Super Bowl! -

Wow close vote!! But congrats to our Guy who most deservedly gets his due!! Now, next step in this journey is bringing a Championship to Buffalo! Beane should ride this momentum and make a deal tonight.

The night of the game sucks for me.. trying to process everything and reading all sorts of thoughts from everyone and everywhere. Yesterday was better listening to some up the wrap up interviews. I would like to hear from Beane and Mcd as well. I don’t feel that same feeling as the 13 second game. Luckily, my wife and I are taking the kids to Orlando for a week so I can miss all the Super Bowl lead up. Once the Super Bowl is done I will completely have moved on from this season and on to the offseason!

Is it time to move on from McDermott?
loveorhatembillsfan4life replied to Monty98's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m ok with Mcd this year. I had been on the fence about him but I think by all accounts he has grown since that hit piece. Tom Coughlin is a guy I remember who really changed as a coach and eventually got a Super Bowl. I also think listening to Josh yesterday underlines he has changed. I’m not waking up this morning looking back saying Mcd cost us this game or season. Players got to make plays. I am actually more focused on Beane. I don’t think he has been aggressive enough since the Josh Allen trade. Should have moved up for Brian Thomas last year but instead focused on accumulating draft picks. We are finding solid players but not many game changers. Like, you could give up some capital and put a stud Wr with Josh for the next 4-5 years with Allen. Kc knew who they wanted and went up to us to get him.. yet we were ok trading back and and back to grab Coleman (I like) but clearly showing separation issues right now I really hope Beane nails it this offseason. Just my opinion, I know many won’t agree lol. -
I think if the feeling is we overachieved this season many will be content. I don’t know, I’m fairly numb at this point. I get the opportunity is just to keep knocking at the door. But we do, and yet it just nevers happens. This was an amazing opportunity for this Franchise. The sad thing is, it will continue to feel like forever and heartbreak until it happens..and when that will happen seems to be anyone’s guess at this point.

I’m very happy with how far we made it.

Back after 13 seconds, McDermott made a comment along the lines of when we do win one, the 13 second game will be apart of our story. I agree with that, the pain and agony that it's taken to get back to this point has been well documented. I don't think this is the year to be satisfied. The opportunity has arrived and if not now. When? Just look at the QB's and teams that one single team has to beat to get to the Super bowl in the AFC. Harbaugh said it best, it's a gauntlet and the team that gets there sure as hell earned it. Just look at how hard and how long it has taken our team to get back to a conference game. In my eyes, we have a more complete team than ever. Josh is more mature and in in full control than ever. MCD also is a different coach than years ago. This team has taken on all the best this season. We know we can play with anyone and win. I think these guys know the opportunity and are going to leave it all on the line. If there is any Karma in this world for things to be made right, Mcdermott, Josh, the Buffalo Bills story has come full circle.
