  1. Very fair to him. They dump the coaching staff before they let Josh walk though. If anything it comes down to 3 years of franchise tagging him before he ever walks via a trade for the haul of picks you’d get not matching the offer/s. If that ever happened I don’t think even for Terry keeping the team in Buffalo that you could forgive them choosing anyone or anything over Josh.
  2. For sure. He’s getting more than Herbert, Tua, Lawrence and Love. He should. The only saving grace is those guys above all have contracts in the same range as Joe Burrow, who is clearly above them in talent. Then you revert back to the Dak contract. If he’s on $60m anything less for Josh is unfair lol
  3. Im reluctant to pay any receiver that much. JJ & Chase definitley, likely for CeeDee. That’s all who are worth it. AJ Brown and Sr. Brown are close. Mike Evans definitley if he were 4/5 years younger. $25m for the top. $20m for the Collins’/Brown’s of the league. I know the cap has adjusted to allow it but 10% of your cap to a WR is insane to me. The fact the top guys now are at 12% of the cap…? 🤯
  4. I respect your enthusiasm. They’ve failed to do it going into year 8 of their regime pairing. I’m not holding my breath they fix that DLine in one off-season let alone two. Hopefully they prove doubters wrong but the history of their efforts says otherwise.
  5. You really think they beat Philly? Theyre a decent team but if Cook can run all over them there’s no reason to doubt Saquon terrorizing them for 100+ on the ground in the first half alone lol That defense was one of if not the best in the regular season and there hasn’t been a drop off into the playoffs. Sacks they were middle of the pack and generating pressure was poor overall but that hasn’t been the case post-season. Philly pull away with it in the second half like they did against the Commanders.
  6. I wonder if we go to a rotation that sees Bishop or Rapp as the nickel DB on some packages. Hamlin shouldn’t be a starter, Rapp is injured and Bishop is still very raw. Hopefully they take a look at the FA pool for Safety as there’s a few guys who are of quality and can play that free/deep role we’ve been lacking. Bynum or Holland would be great but there’s a lot of quality available. Every guy on the roster that played meaningful snaps was/is better suited to the strong role where they can play that buzz/hole and robber responsibilities. Out of those 3 Hamlin would be the one to let go. The feel good story can only last too long and whilst he did have some good moments throughout the year, every big game he’s been a let down. Even before the Cincinnati incident. CB is another must. Douglas was decent in spells but his play has been on the steady decline. Need someone else. Benford has the capability but had some rough patches. I’m sure if the DLine is fixed or at least better his play becomes more consistent and reliable. Same for Taron as above. Though if next year you get some atrocious periods of play then you move on. He’s still one of the best in the business. Also playing a safety in that role can give you the freedom to move on if it’s a success. There’s a few CBs in FA but they may be out of price range; Charvarious Ward, Carlton Davis, DJ Reed, Eric Stokes & Byron Murphy Id like to see them take a gamble on CJ Henderson or one of the Charger guys in Asante Samuel Jr. (injury keeps his price down) or Christian Fulton. One of those 2 I’ll bet get resigned, so probably Asante. A lot to get right this year all over the defense. Some changes need to be made
  7. A week too late for that idea.
  8. You traded with the Chiefs. Here we go again…
  9. lol he only played 109 snaps for us since we acquired him. That’s comparable to 2 less jelly donuts and a couple hours on the treadmill!! Agreed. And even then it’s a punt. I’m sure Carter is successful but to get there you’re giving up a lot like you said. If you’re willing to give up that resources to draft a prospect I’m sure you could give up less to get just as impactful a proven player. Salary won’t be the same obvious but things could be worked out by both teams for more.
  10. Which is exactly why I’m opposed to them shelling out the cash for the guys on the team right now. Difference makers when the lights are the brightest, just aren’t there to be relied upon.
  11. Playoffs only. Roster spot, playing time and salary can go elsewhere for a guy that shows up once in a while. Give a rookie or another player via FA the gig and see what we get. If not? Pivot back to him down the stretch. I’m sure he’d understand and wouldn’t have a problem resting all year and putting in the work for the post-season games instead lol
  12. That’s funny! He’s a defensive guy and I’m sure he’s partly the reason we are running the same play again and again but dude, Brady was a HC candidate a week ago. Is he incapable of telling Sean, “this play is struggling, we need to do something else?” they didn’t. Which tells me the conversation never took place. You get the sideline audio and I bet more often than not it’s McD telling him to go for it. Not what actually to call specifically each time. Failure goes to both of them but more on the guys who’s offense it is. Tweedledum and Tweedledee I guess?
  13. @GunnerBill If we can get Bond at 62?!? Sign me up!!!! to me, I he’s going to shoot up the draft boards after the combine and his pro day unless the injuries well and truly hold him back, which they should. His speed and route running is going to be too palpable for a team in need of that style of WR. Im hoping one of those guys in the 20s drops down to us. Egbuka, Barron, Revel and Stewart all look to be quality players at positions we need. Realistically? They won’t. I can see all of them bouncing around boards to the teens and mid 20s. Not to 30 sadly. If Sawyer is available at 53, make the move up if you can. It shouldn’t cost you much to move up only 4 spots. We can have two Pickering, Ohio boys together in Carter and him lol
  14. Not enough to warrant that 3rd rounder. Love the character, loved the few catches he made, certainly don’t love when you total that to the value of a 3rd round pick. I expected better. Sure he was free but with that trade in the coming season, he wasn’t really. He may have a completely different season if he was here from the jump but he’s going to get what? $5-8m from somebody?! Hopefully not us.
  15. For the game as a whole we had the best plays on each side of the ball. Phillips walk back sack. Cook and his diving reach. Heartbreak all around.
  16. So Josh’s better half made it to the Super Bowl. Can we make a trade?!
  17. Two and sometimes three of our SP’s being in the general area of the field on routes is something I’ve noticed a lot this year. Is it just me? Im not talking something like levels, flood or bunch concepts either. I’m talking at the end or later development of their routes, they’re in very close proximity to one another. Interestingly weird design as you’re drawing more coverage to one area allowing a better chance at a pass defense or interception. Regarding Spencer Brown, and I’m not a huge fan of grades, he was one of the better graded offensive players on a whole for that game. Rewatching it, I don’t agree with that. Spencer and our line got the better taken of them. Most of the time Karlaftis (had a heck of a game) wasn’t well blocked by our RT. That last play too was Torrence, 2 guys infront of his face and they’re both getting to Josh. Even one of them getting picked up might be the difference. Our best asset all year on offense were borderline a dud this game unfortunately.
  18. Big Groot fan but he lacks the product to be earning $20m+ a year sadly. If you can have him for $12-15m this off-season on an extension, sure but anything nearing that 20m or above mark and you allocate the same money on a proven guy looking for his next contract. Be that another DE, WR or CB. It has to be one of those positions. Whichever one you spend the money on you pivot the draft for the other two.
  19. for AZ Cardinal QBs from that period I’ll take the rubber mat and Kevin Kolb for $500 Alex…
  20. John, you’re entitled to your opinion and it’s accurate to you. That’s all that matters. It’s not right or wrong. Im just making a joke in reference to other threads that have been starter. Go Jack!!! Another joke… referring to his political career and the resignation after the Watergate scandal.
  21. So we have to wait just over 61 years for the Kincaid drop to be declassified? I’ll be long dead by then. FML
  22. Probably that 2nd rounder from Minnesota would do it. Giants need all the help they can. Immediately. Sign Ojulari whilst you’re at it seeing as he’s hitting the FA market. might be out priced though.
  23. How many points could Jack put on our defense?
  24. With what we run offensively, it’s not surprising. We’re not a big mauling type of offense you need to be big for. And it shows. Their safeties man handled some of our guys at the LOS.
