  1. Dude got his sht yanked away from him one handed by a 165lb soaking wet WR… 1v1s against a TE scare me.
  2. I definitley feel getting better production from all the resources, players and effort we have put into that position group woul help the secondary greatly. That’s in part why I, reluctantly, have no problem with them adding more draft or FA capital too it. We need better players all around is the sad truth. LB might be the only passable group for SB quality.
  3. There’s definitely some coaching issues and I’m not advocating a defense for McD by any means. I was a huge defender of his but this coming season if he returns is the last if it’s not a super bow appearance. The players on the field make too many errors or are not up to par to execute well even basic fundamentals sometimes. Whilst that isn’t indicative of his coaching through and through, it is indicative that there’s a problem with the players on the field. They’re they because of the coach. Whilst running plays like that on offense would be great, would we even get the same looks of the units were flipped? Sadly, probably not lol out of either 5 or 6 KC players, they’re not all being erased by essentially 2 blockers to get Cook/Johnson/Davis that catch. Again, coaching is an issue but the players out there have to be held just as accountable. Seems more often than not people give them a pass to lump it on Sean & Co. That image I posted should highlight the bigger issue.
  4. Great point. The defenses in the top half of the league are all around the better ones for sacks and/or pressures. No coincident there. What does become weird is that we were middle of the pack in sacks and pressures but in the bottom 5 for 3rd down conversion rates. We have a coverage issue as much as a defensive line issue if we aspire to have a Super Bowl caliber defense.
  5. This isn’t coaching staff on this 2nd & 9. The wilting you see isn’t because of McDermott, Babich or anyone involved with that group. Looks to me you have a 5v3 there. Play it better and you win. Good plan if it’s played better. Actually 6v3 if the safety plays it better. But sure, we’ll roll with it’s all Sean’s fault lol
  6. That’s a fair point and I’ll be honest, I wasn’t impressed with them in Green Bay and portions of the Rams game. Even against the Commanders they looked shaky at times. But like Buffalo, they seem to play better defense during the second half. Couple that with sticking to wearing you down with a ground game and opponents can be left just constantly chasing the game. I tip my hat to KC for their achievements throughout the whole season and my suggesting and hopefulness of them losing isn’t bitter because of our result against them. Like @Bills!Win! said, the storyline would be one for the ages. No doubt about it. But their 3 peat march started against Philly and I think it ends with them too. Just so much talent on there. When you couple that with what Philly has done in terms of roster and coaching turnover on the defense in one year, I think it’s more impressive than the continuity that’s actually expected with Reid and his crew in KC.
  7. The D were the final nail in the coffin but no one even before the game thought they were stopping KC if they needed a FG to win. It had to be a TD on the final drive if any. If they punted and we didn’t stop that’s an even bigger failure than the mess that happened to be punting to begin with. They played like absolute dog sht that last drive they had. But so did the offense. Whether we had to score 20, 30 or 40. The offense was how we were winning that game. Collectively, their last drive was just as dog sht as our defense…
  8. They have a chance. Not suggesting otherwise. They’ll just have to go all out to stop Saquon and that running game. AJ Brown/DaVonta Smith/Goedert/Dotson isn’t even the same ballpark. You either keep the box light and get ran over. Add the extra guy, still get ran over or sell our completely and get hit with PA to one of their SP’s. Their interior isn’t dealing with Jalen Carter and Milton Williams. On top of that you got Sweat who can turn up but then Nolan Smith who’s on an absolute tear these playoffs. Maybe it’s just a hope to see them not win again but I honestly feel Philly rolls them by 14+
  9. Just got done saying this in another thread. The clock hitting zero and that happening is one thing. Embracing a celebrating opponent who’s saying they’ve won the game when it’s still absolutely in play is bizarre. Schnow excuse for that imo.
  10. Our defense isn’t great but them being open speaks more to the coaching and play design on top of the type of players they have out there. Hollywood Brown & Worthy were their focal point. Travis got a couple of his usual freelance catch but didn’t do anything special. The only other guy who made plays in the passing game was Ju-Ju on some busted coverage. You know who gave up the most catches and yards? Douglas. Scheme is everything. Above is 3 of the better players on defense getting erased by a WR @ the LOS. Coaching matters but players showing up or disappearing is what dictates the outcome slightly more. Sean or Babich ain’t drawing up what you see above on a whiteboard.
  11. That would certainly be a storyline. They’re one of the best teams/dynasties we’ve seen but I don’t see them beating the Eagles. At least, I hope they don’t lol.
  12. That’s fair and can respect the difference I just think it’s a bit distasteful to be embracing a celebrating opponent when the game is still in play and to be had if things go right. Again, after the clock hits zero it’s all good. Game is over. You congratulate, pay your respects and enjoy the moments going forward or reflection
  13. You’re fine with a guy on our team, when there’s still a chance to play, laughing and joking with another guy after he says “we going back y’all… good game…”? Again, that happening when the game clock hits zero, cool. Right after you fail a 4th down and still have a chance? After playing in high school and collegiately I understand what you’re saying, there’s a camaraderie for sure, but handshakes and laughs aren’t a thing until afterward. Fair play to you bro lol
  14. 15 minutes of nothing. Very concerned with the conversation between Dion Dawkins and Jones, not to mention the laughing together after that stop when there’s still time on the clock and we had 3 TOs. The exchange isn’t a problem after the game but during with the circumstances still make it in play is a sour taste for me.
  15. He’s just highlighting why Ty was in there and as I’m sure you’re aware, I don’t think @PromoTheRobot is actually saying he’d rather Cook be on the sideline. The worst part about it all is that more often than not you can gauge that we are likely to pass when Ty is in. Worse still is why he was split wide on the 4th down. Atrocious when you actually start with a toss play, something I don’t think was run all game, with Ty Johnson. If you’re going to run the ball at any point on that drive, you use Cook unless you’ve worn down the opposition some. The more I think about that series of events, the sicker I get. Absolute head scratchers indeed. 😔
  16. I often wonder if it’s a combination of the guys he’s throwing to and the coaches he has now. Not to pound the table or wish for a Daboll reunion but during his tutelage and guidance as OC there was a considerable more amount of anticipation throws on the field Josh was making.
  17. You’re right. We’d have scored a TD then the abysmal D would have let KC march for 6. Saved a few minutes early I guess?
  18. Babich was supposed to his Spagnolo is essence, hence the superseding of play duties. In reality, he’s no different than Frazier; a mouthpiece for his execution.
  19. The Texans helmet doink still lives rent free for me lol
  20. He’s reading the tracked statistic of the tracked statistics…
  21. Players are the problem. You can have all the perfect plays, drills and practices put in place that in theory will work 100%, but if the execution isn’t there in the moment you have nothing.
  22. You know who holds the best first read percentage on a football field and is in the Super Bowl? This guy:
  23. Far too many. For the lack of injuries we’ve had at the position it’s very alarming that there’s a steady cycle of defensive lineman churned in and out for the season. I get they’re in a rotational role and want it to be a group effort to be fresh but sometimes enough is enough. The list you out together is littered from top to bottom of guys who flash it just enough to want to be kept around. Not saying they’re absolute bums but there’s only one on there who’s worth losing sleep over if they aren’t let around, Ed. If you remove the fandom and look at it from an unbiased or impartial perspective, I don’t know how you can view the rest as championship caliber players. Pretty sad for what’s been invested.
  24. lol maybe! I wouldn’t be opposed to that move as it may be more favorable for Groot and AJ. Need to get some better pieces on the middle though. Ed would fit the 3-4 end role but I don’t think he’s suited to absolute gap control required for that scheme. Additionally our undersized LBs got better in that base by practical standards.
  25. If you’re bringing anything from that late 80’s through the 90’s bring back Bresnahan or Marchabroda lol Marv ain’t gonna make it long enough unfortunately
