  1. “I hate to break it to you after all these years Jim… ive never been a fan of Buffalo. Don’t know how you came to that conclusion.”
  2. Agreed. Even weirder when you saw how quickly they moved on from Malik Willis. Granted he wasn’t a borderline first round selection but was still drafted to become the starter. Guess if they get Ward or Shadeur Sanders or even trade out for an hail of picks and it works out for them they made the right move in the bigger picture as it netted them the first overall pick.
  3. I ran thick, a car-ton.
  4. Bud Adams still flipping the bird. Ralph laughing.
  5. The earliest memory I have is my father would wear his jersey, this was after he no longer played with Buffalo, but would complain that the team ruined his career because of a contract battle or something? I never looked into it because that’s such an eye rolling statement lol ”yeah dad, getting more money made him worse 🙄”
  6. Yeah? I didn’t say he didn’t but that it seems with his comments the last few years and in the link you posted that it is not a priority and that he’s content with the role he’s at given the success he’s had. Getting a HC gig doesn’t seem like the be all-end all for him was all I was alluding to.
  7. Absolute solid and valid points but you can’t lump it solely on the GM. There comes a point where a coach, especially after the tenure that Tomlin has, becomes hand in hand with the GM. He’s openly said years ago, we are talking at least 5 years, that he has always had “responsibility in who the Steelers draft”. Does that mean he gets the exact player? No. They may not be available but if they are, no doubt they are getting drafted. Also If he requests player type A he isn’t going to get player type M instead. A tenured coach is on par with BB in NE, Harbaugh in Baltimore and Reid in Philly & KC. These guys have control of the team and aren’t just given players whenever the upper management see fit. They pretty much design their own roster. Does blame fall on Colbert, Khan and other guys who have been around the organization’s personnel decisions? Absolutely. But I don’t believe it’s as clear cut as other teams and their selections, plans or foresight on their roster construction and selections. However, I could be absolutely wrong. That’s just my perspective.
  8. Very similar. McCarthy being from Pittsburgh makes the similarity even funnier. Not discrediting McCarthy but he did go from one stacked team in Green Bay to another, whether you like them or not, in Dallas. Not giving Tomlin a pass by any means as his succession plan to Ben stunk. You could see the writing on the wall even with his decent stat lines for the final 3 seasons. Not much since then in terms of quality offensive talent but he’s still winning. If the team is set, it’s 50/50. If it needs a culture and development I’d probably go with Tomlin as he is heralded as one of the ultimate players coaches. Think that’s what it comes down to?
  9. Dallas fans begging them to take McCarthy. Chicago fans begging they don’t. What a world!
  10. Oh for sure. It is. But Cooper has played from there with Shakir, Kincaid and Hollins/Keon on the field at the same time. Just a decent thing to see, him finally playing well especially with poor QB play, going into win or go home and potentially having one of our top guys missing.
  11. A four?!? I’ll agree with anyone that he’s not a bonafide number one but he’s a solid complimentary piece. Easily a number two guy, three at worst.
  12. Curtis Samuel actually being somewhat of a bright spot Sunday leaves me less concerned if Cooper can’t play. Still would be a good addition to have but as long as he’s there against the better teams. We should beat Denver so I’m all good with whatever happens in his playing status this weekend.
  13. If Tyreek could be had for $20m I don’t know how you say no. That would be a land for this offense. Opens everything up even more for Shakir/DK-DK/Coleman. He’s going back to KC if anywhere imo.
  14. They had to. Can’t give the guy a top 5 pick when he’s been a letdown with a reasonable roster.
  15. I don’t think it’s a priority of his to be honest. His coaching history isn’t too great either. They didn’t have that bad a roster during his time with the Rams and even acquired Sam Bradford first overall. In terms of drafting they didn’t do an awful jobs their either, some decent hits. Probably the failings play a bigger part than is led to believe. He has his niche. A very good one. 4 Superbowls in that position says he’s probably content and best suited where he’s at.
  16. Agree. There’s some decent players on that defense and still a fair few guys who were on that 2021 team too. Secondary seems to be their problem, specifically cornerback. They need some more pass rush but the coverage isn’t there.
  17. Eagles followed by the Rams. The latter might just be trauma from the week 14 game though lol
  18. It was what? Their second season? They weren’t very good the year before and IIRC they beat a slew of bad/average teams to squeak into the playoffs. This Denver team plays well but also hasn’t beaten that great teams this season Similar in some ways. Shouldn’t be overlooked imo
  19. So which is it? Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good? Pretty, pretty good? Pretty… Pretty… Pretty good? Pretty, pretty, pretty good? So many choices!!!
  20. Pittsburgh as a whole have been relatively bad these last 4 games. Offense isn’t far from where it was at they just aren’t making those splash plays they were a few times a game. Their defense was a concern but didn’t seem to do too bad a job against Cinci and were a couple of dropped passes away from winning that game. Freirmuth needs to do better, he had some massive misses. Pickens too but we’ve seen that with him many times before. Do you think the 8.5 fav for Baltimore is justified and do they cover?
  21. Still amazed he played the starters at all let alone as long as he did. They had that division won after beating the Steelers. Such a silly choice by John. Ravens without that dude are a whole different ball game. I think he’s a great player, not elite, but definitely a game changer for that offense if the opposing defense is loading up to stop the run. The rest of the guys have been hit or miss with the exception of Andrews. This could bode well for Pittsburgh.
  22. yup and they got it right in terms of slots too imo
  23. Well said. He’s the best of the bunch and I agree not worthy of the first overall. Maybe not even top 5 for any of those 3. luckily for them we are in a qb driven league where they’re likely going to be in those spots. Would you pass on drafting a guy if you were a needy team with a high pick or roll the dice?
  24. Yikes! Talk about unhinged. Judging by the framed pictures he should focus on the Marlins and baseball instead! Or the Ravens. Is that Derrick Henry’s crown behind him?!
