  1. Sorry dude. I don’t mean to belittle someone’s thoughts as they are valid and have a place even if there’s a disagreement on one side… WTF are you thinking? You want to remove the coach who’s been lambasted for coaching errors, decisions and no fee of the game for the guy that couldn’t figure out how to set the Chiefs up with a look and pull the rug in the biggest game? This guy literally ran Josh into a brick wall all game on short distances, even going to the extent of 4 times on one drive. He has no elite feel for the ebb and flow of the game. People say McD would be nothing without Josh, well that goes even more to Brady. What’s he done professionally to advocate a choice over other coaches out there? Not much. The LSU national where he had Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson, Terrence Marshall, Clyde Edwards Helaire, Thad Moss & a quality OLine? If you’re going to jump on the dump McD train and grab an offense minded guy that has NFL experience and success, go for Kliff Kingsbury.
  2. Hindsight is always a beautiful thing in drafting. You have to factor in the landing spot too. The only egregious error I hold against Beane and McD is Boogie Basham. Double dipping the defensive line was an awful idea when we had questions about the line and Landon Dickerson and Creed were on the board. The Elam pick was wrong. No doubt about it. It hasn’t panned out and appears and absolute waste but at the time you can’t blame them. Tre White was coming off a serious injury and had he worked out that pick would have been perfect timing as we know what happened to Tre every year after: injured. Benford worked out so their double dipping on corner paid off somewhat. I liked Kyler Gordon more but got the pick at the time as he was decent in college and could give the Bills more man coverage flexibility.
  3. Watching the play back, the replay from the sky cam shows a deep shot to Kincaid is right there if Josh can step into it. Failing that Ty Johnson comes open right at the down line as does Shakir, don’t know if he makes that unless Ty can get a block for him. That wasn’t the case. Torrence head’s on a swivel whilst 2 guys are flying into Josh’s face lol
  4. Josh’s post game he explains it, first look was right for the play, protection slid left. After watching it again I’m not even seeing why you slide left pre snap. You have a bunch out wide to the left vs 3 dbs. Shakir motioned in then back out behind them. That’s a 4v3 with him possibly getting the ball running. It turns into an 4v4 but that’s cause the end drops into coverage. The worst part? That play probably works out better if Torrence doesn’t absolutely sht the bed. Dude let 2 guys walk between him and Brown. 🤦‍♂️ Ty or Shakir would have had a better chance to get that first down. Still amazed he managed to get that throw on target and into the arms of Kincaid at all. Wild.
  5. If he had time and made that throw? Sure. But if he’s turning his body to the left to throw to Shakir he’s getting rocked and the ball is incomplete at best, fumble at worst. Speaking of schemes, why are we throwing a screen, something we’ve been awful at all year, to Cooper on a crucial and potential season defining 3rd & 10? How many more chances do we want to give our guys? ”they would have gotten it the next time” well if the defense was as awful as I’m reading, those whacky play calls shouldn’t have been attempted as they weren’t making another stop lol They maxed out forcing the FG And that isn’t sarcasm.
  6. Do you just keep moving the needle where putting any blame on the offense in appropriate? You said 5%. Those errors I asked total more than 5% of the game… so I’m asking how you came to the rough estimate of your blame assignment. But you couldn’t do that. Because like every other response it’s been added criteria. I noticed you dismissed the point about the defense giving up 44 points to stafford or 42 to Goff as being relevant. How many elite QBs did the Chiefs play? 2. Burrow and Josh. 25 and 30 points respectively. The last time was week 11. When did the Bills last play an elite QB? Last week. Before that? Weeks 14&15. Who’s the best QB and coaching staff combined out of those 4 elite QBs since week 14? Mahomes and Reid. There’s expanded context. I’ll wait for the next needle marker of criteria lol
  7. I can appreciate that and am not saying they’re in the wrong. The big picture is we expected the defense to flounder, fail or not even show up at all throughout the whole game. The offense didn’t meet the expectations we have had, seen and experienced many times. The defense was bad but not that far off from the expected.
  8. Ok. Serious questions as 5% seems wildly low given the results the defense has shown against better teams… Whoa to blame for the wild throws to start the game? whos to blame for attempting a Qb sneak/push that many times in a game, one drive we attempted it 4 times? whos to blame to see that we were struggling to use it but continuously calling it? whos to blame for not keeping Cook running the ball when he was chewing them up? who’s to blame for running the slow developing routes for guys who can’t separate well and when there’s poor pass protection? who’s to blame for calling a screen to one our slowest receivers in a crucial 3rd down? Who’s to blame for a player dropping a ball that’s right in his arms?
  9. Difference, those teams have knockout pass rushers. We aren’t even remotely close to the front end defensively as Houston.
  10. Yea. It’s unreasonable when we put 30 on them earlier on. It’s ok. I’ll wait for the “well that wasnt at arrowhead” response. You’re making it sound like I am saying the defense has no blame. I’m not. It even remotely. In multiple posts since game end I’ve talked about this. I just don’t understand how no one wants to ask questions about the offense that are rational. And when they do there’s certain criteria used as an excuse. It’s the playoffs. They are the chiefs. The back to back Super Bowl champs on the road to attempt a 3-peat. We have up 28 points to the Cardinals. 35 to the Ravens. 20 to the Jets. 27 to the Dolphins. 20 to the Colts. 21 to the Chiefs. 21 to the Pats. You know the 2 scores that matter? 44 @ Rams 42 @ Detroit Elite QBs. Away. If you didn’t think the Chiefs would score points in the playoffs at home against a porous pass rush and secondary, especially when Benford went down, then i dont know what to tell you other than you’re right and I’m wrong. Not that both points have validity and application. It’s not entirely the defense. Both units are to blame.
  11. Lmao no man not at all pointing out there isn’t a mention that 40% of the punts and 50% of the turnovers over 3 games all came tonight. Why even mention that? Because it makes the narrative better that the defense is more to blame for this loss. They are but so is the offense. We went defense repeatedly and it didn’t work. Didn’t move the needle then to now. So what are we going to do? Invest it all and hope it changes? They need a pass rusher. They should have been trying for one desperately earlier on. Karlaftis, Jones, Danna & Wharton played great on the line. Our draftees didnt. Is it going to change?
  12. Want to know the difference between all those defenses? A pass rusher. Legit pass rushers. You’re acting as though I’m saying there isn’t a reason to be bothered by what was fielded defensively. I am. But like every other Bills fan if you had Josh and the offense with the ball to run the clock down and go up 4 or at the very least tie it for OT, you’d take it. Every single time. they don’t show up and everyone wants to throw lumps and allude blame completely to the defense. Team sport. Team let down.
  13. 2 punts and 1 turnover in the game tonight. Don’t mention that though.
  14. So we can expect our defense which we know has question marks to hold Mahomes and the Chiefs to under 30 and be fine with it but can’t expect Josh and the gang to score 32+ on 9 drives? If we are going by season basis, our boys averaged 30ppg. The failure was a team effort. It’s not one or the other is what I am trying to convey. If it’s percentages it’s 60/40, offense/defense. Not a definitive yes or no for each unit of the team.
  15. Blame is assigned to the defense. There isn’t any absolving of that. They were poor. But again… every single fan knew they were going to get picked apart of the pass rush wasn’t there. The point is you have to hold the offense as accountable as the defense. There isn’t a single all-pro HOF player in their prime on that side of the ball. There is under center. The defense is a known problem. The offense had question marks we have proven to overcome. There is absolute justification for more than half of the blame to fall on Brady and the offense for not walking out of there with a W.
  16. Dude. People who are saying the offense are not saying there is no blame that falls on the defense. It does. 100%. They played poor but we all knew they weren’t great. The offense had 9 drives. Punted twice and turned the ball over on downs twice. KC had 9 drives. Punted twice and turned the ball over via fumble. Their final drive iced the game. Ask any Bills fan from Monday to 6:29pm EST if we would take 9 drives a piece but you only knew the outcome of KC’s first 8 drives; 2 punts, a turnover and 32 points… would we outscore them in 9 of our own drives? Most Bills fans would say yes. Guaranteed.
  17. Yeah there’s no way they trade him for anything other than a kings ransom. If you’re interested in the offensive approach, I’d be interested to give Kliff Kingsbury another shot. He’s obviously not going to be an OC with how this year turned out so it would have to be an HC gig. He’s pissed away as much talent as any other HC out there. Especially with those Cowboys. Decent coach, not amazing. The difference between him and some of these other guys is he’s not highly regarded in the locker room with his players. That’s a serious problem for me as a fan. Especially if things in a season aren’t going the way that is intended/expected.
  18. Screen to one of your 2 slowest receivers on a game tying/leading drive on 3rd down. Big brain move. 4D chess.
  19. Of course he panicked. He had a guy coming from his left, right and in front of him lol Even in that panic he dropped a pretty much perfect pass downfield, with no visibility in the middle of coverage to Kincaid who dropped it. He said in the postgame the check was good for the first look, they slid left and he immediately snapped it. Well they looped the blitz from the right and he had to get rid of it. Great disguise by Spags. Bad design by Brady having no RB and motioning Shakir into the backfield. Some of its on Josh but personnel and play design is on Brady for that. Josh actually made it work from what would probably be a 0.01% of a completion lol
  20. McD has his faults and needs to answer some questions but that doesn’t fit the narrative for these people. This game wasn’t on McD. He had the balls to try and win the game. Our offense didn’t execute on two drives resulting in turnovers. If any coach needs to go, I’m honestly hoping it’s Brady. I’ve never seen a guy so stubborn to adapt throughout a game. Then again, why am I surprised? He’s not adapted play calling situationally for a whole season.
  21. The defense and that of what McD has built needs to be heavily changed. No disagreement but when it comes to the absolute basis of rationality going into this game, we as fans knew what we had. They actually did everything people wanted. Make a couple of stops and get a turnover/s. They kept the Chiefs from running away at it to open the second half. Don’t understand why they can’t be given any credit.
  22. Agree. They weren’t great by any means but we knew they weren’t going to be. Our defense stopped them in scoring territory and kept it to a FG. On top of that they shut them down in back to back drives to open the second half that kept us in the game. Don’t forget the fumble that was originally waved off due to Ed and his phantom offside but was later handed back to us by Pat in scoring territory. Im not giving McD a pass, so please don’t think that, im just being impartial to everything that unfolded, but the defense like you said did enough and wasn’t the main issue. A problem but not he main issue. We expected them to score and they gave up only 11 points in the second half with Kaiir “Leodis” Elam, Cole Bishop and Hamlin as the key cogs to that secondary. The errors fall on Brady and his selections. I can give him a pass for running the Josh shorts earlier. I can’t give it to him for doing it again FOUR times on one drive. The fourth time ended up costing us and not converting it due to a bad spot/call by the refs. There is no way any offensive coordinator should be going to that play that much let alone on one drive. Especially when the team caused huge problems for you running it previously. You will never see an OC worth his salt doing that. Many have said he’s just another guy riding the back of Josh Allen. Now I agree with them after that debacle. Any decent play caller wouldn’t be repeating that all day. They’d give them the same look and pull the rug. Not Joe Brady…
  23. In the words of @teef This f’n place….
  24. Weird, one of the few guys at work I’m friends with outside of it moved up here from Florida and is a Fish fan. He said after the 13 seconds that it wouldn’t surprise me if he turns into Dan Marino. Is the best of the bunch he was drafted with/around but never wins a Lombardi. I laughed. I regret that laugh after reading this thread. 😔
