  1. Defense was awful but again, you ask every Bills fans going into that game they weren’t relying on the defense in any way shape or form. A stop here or there and/or a turnover/s was all they wanted. They got that. They were a let down but so was the real reason we were ever there to begin with: the offense. Poor execution on both sides of the ball. Defense was right around where they were expected to perform. Offense was not. Thank Brady and Babich.
  2. Not just that man. People love watching winning teams with elite quarterbacks. Most football fans tune in to root for Buffalo as they’ve changed from mediocrity too. Bandwagon or not, it’s good for the league but also the Bills. Win/Win. People also love watching winners lose. Especially dynastic teams.
  3. Whilst I understand what you’re saying, players on the field are more accountable for a lot of the failures in the second half. 3 guys backside aren’t supposed to over pursue on every play. On top of that and I don’t mean to reference it as much as I do but I’m amazed it’s not more of a talking point… Coaching cannot be blamed for this: 2 guys take out the whole backside. 5 defenders. Ju-Ju takes out Groot, Taron and Bernard. Coaching? That’s the easy excuse. Just like the refereeing or an injury. Im not disputing any of that but the players not executing on offense and defense is a bigger issue.
  4. So Josh is the problem? Time for a trade!
  5. Nah dude. Elam was pretty poor but he wasn’t atrocious. They only scored 2 times in the second half and most of that wasn’t on him for them moving the ball. He gave up one catch and an interference call. The catch on the FG and the DPI on a punt. The Chiefs ran all over us and hit the underneath stuff that LBs and the Safeties were responsible for. Not a fan of Elam and he had a poor first but I don’t think Benford being in instead of him changed anything. They were still moving the ball around easily prior to his exit.
  6. Might? Josh wouldn’t even remember who we were. Sunshine of the Joshless mind.
  7. The tragic thing is, over the course of the last 4 years our biggest needs has been addressed in the draft and FA/Trades. DLine & CB. The only guys I’m for keeping is Ed, Taron and Benford out of those units. Even then they haven’t been absolutely great which is another problem in itself.
  8. Facts. I was a RB are dime a dozen in today’s game but Cook has proven me wrong the last few games. I have no problem paying him unless it’s on Saquons level. The other trio is exactly that, especially the two 20m guys you highlight. Paying good not great is a problem. Well said. Eh. Just a joke to what you need to watch man.
  9. We knew the D was bad. And I’m not making excuses for them in anyway shape or form but they did more than most people would have given them credit for. They stopped them twice to open the second half and held them to a FG with 3-4 minutes left. Did they fail the final drive? Absolutely. They sht the bed, see the post about Ju-Ju wiping 3 of our better players on the 2nd & 9. But we knew that was going to be the case… they weren’t going to stop Mahomes and the Chiefs on a final drive unless it was a TD or broke to win. Even then we’d still have reservations. Our offense was what was going to win us the game and like many have said you can’t rely on them scoring that many points to win, I agree with, you knew that was the only reason we were. We got the shaft of the refs on way too many plays but there was a lot of plays if we have better execution offensively we’re walking out of that game with a W. Irrespective of how bad the defense played to some people. Heartbreak now might be better than heartbreak in the Super Bowl. That Eagles team, QB aside, is head and shoulders above KC in quality.
  10. Pass rush is the difference. We had some in spurts but a game wrecker absolutely changes that. We have just one of Will Anderson or Danielle Hunter we win that game. Hunter didn’t get the sacks but he still got the pressures and hurries. Honestly, Jerry Hughes level might have won us that game. All pressure, no product is better than what we saw. Not to throw it onto players but the biggest disappoint was Groot. The dude was terrible yesterday. Even worse, and I’ve mentioned it several times, the 2nd & 9 to Pacheco on the last drive, Groot, Bernard & Taron are removed from the play by Ju-Ju Smith-Shuster. Unacceptable for a guy of Groots size. Pathetic that is 3 of our better players.
  11. Absolutely, I was perplexed by what I was seeing. Once or twice a game, yeah. But every time they were near the down line it was short. Some people will say then you make sure by play design and effort your past the sticks i can agree with. But sometimes you’re just “up against it”. And up against it we certainly were. Like you end with, never heard the announcers be incredulous as to what is happening regarding officiating, me neither. Well, maybe once but never the whole crew including the Officiating Analyst be shocked the call went the way it did. The MFL, Massaging Football League has an accurate ring to it.
  12. A bigger story is Detroit vs Buffalo? No way man, the Chiefs a chance to be the first ever to 3 peat is. By a landslide. People being sick of KC is even better for their ratings. No different than Brady & the Pats. People tuned in to so many games to watch them hopefully lose lol The only storyline that was as big or bigger than KC making it to the Superbowl was the one we just got… Allen vs Mahomes Bills finally beating the Chiefs to stop the 3 peat. As long as the public is sick of KC they’ll continue to get massive ratings. As long as they have Mahomes (and Reid) they’ll get the ratings. As long as they’re winning, they’ll get the ratings. People love watching winners. People also love watching winners lose.
  13. Someone pointed out about the complaints Romo & Nantz had one air throughout the game several times before and even after the outcome of that review of Josh being short and how it pretty much stopped after they criticized the review. Even stranger, you’ve got 3 broadcast guys: one who is was a high level player for 13 years a broadcaster who’s had a hand in CBS & NFL coverage since 1991 an NFL referee who officiated for 15 years and has since 2018 been an NFL rules analyst All of those guys were in shock they didn’t convert the football. So how come the on field ruling didn’t match? It never does. I’ve seen it countless times where the broadcast booth of experienced people/players and the NFL rules analyst get it wrong Angry is an understatement lol
  14. Did he? That’s news to me. Coleman, yep, the rumbles were that he liked Coleman and would like him if the MHJ/Nabers/Odunze/Thomas Jr’s were off the board. Never heard about him hand picking Kincaid. That’s even more peculiar to me as Knox was his guy and had just got a big contract. Not saying you’re wrong by any means, just that’s the first I’ve heard about that the case. I always thought it was the FO/Staff who were eager to get a second TE to run more 21 & 22 personnel.
  15. Yeah, I can go with that. Never been one to complain about officiating other than in game. Refereeing being the outcome of a game was always an excuse unless it’s the very last play that decides it. However, massaging the outcome might be on to something. There was what? Like 7 bad spots solely for us throughout the game. Never seen that many before. The Worthy catch. 2 face masks against us but they missed 2 on the Chiefs, one by Tranquill when Josh was over the pile and the other on Cook. They don’t call a Chiefs player diving on the back of Cook’s neck either. Very strange all around.
  16. 😂😂😂 Love the top comment: ”oh yeah 0-16 incoming” so bad they forfeit the last game completely.
  17. Sure. Then we fire McD, he goes to KC for a reunion with Andy and then we can’t get past Sean and the Chiefs. Could you imagine?!?
  18. His point has some validity and I don’t think it’s an overreaction. When the majority of fans have the correct perception during the game but the coaching staff doesn’t, be it offensively or defensively, something is a problem. Did Brady succeed during his first fully fledged year? Yes. No question. Did Brady have some head scratching moments in back to back biggest games of the season? You betcha. Does Brady have an offense in the top of the league without Josh? No. Sure it’s got nothing to do with him how he landed who he’s coaching but you have one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in all of football outside of Lamar. Not to bang a repeated drum but you give the majority of OC’s the role he had and they’re churning out yards. A lot of coaches could do better than what we saw in the divisional and AFCC is all.
  19. You can only put the tag on a player 3 times. At some point he’s either signing the deal or getting traded. Nearly every team comes calling if that ever happens. Bank on that.
  20. John Harbaugh’s jealous!
  21. I take the approach Siriani did and get rid of Brady. He won’t but he should. Grubb in Seattle was one and done but had no real ties to McDonald and replaced him with Klint Kubiak who could have been someone to look at? I may have been in the minority but I was hoping Brady would get a HC. Wasn’t bothered by him staying as continuity for a unit is an absolute plus. The only real positive with Brady was the willingness to play complimentary football. It worked as the rushing efficiency and production went up and as a result reduced the turnovers. But like many have alluded to since the transition to him, it’s pretty easy of a job when you have Allen as your quarterback. Siriani, for all the complaints, you can’t hate his decision to clean house on the defense and being in Fangio. It’s paid dividends for them. Almost as beneficial to the team as the Saquon signing.
  22. Good shout. He wasn’t great this season but he’s shown the be of quality the years before. There’s a few decent options. Bynum Holland Moehrig Hufanga Hufanga would be the only hesitation to after imo and that’s solely due to injury history.
  23. The position is already held by a William & Mary alum in DJ Mangas. Our HC is W&M as is our OC.
  24. Jump to comparison and several of us posters have referenced the Eagles and their changes and success these last few years since yesterdays loss… They had a Super Bowl appearance which they should have won. Failed the next season by getting dumped in the wildcard round to the Bucs. They scrapped their OC and brought in Kellen Moore. Scrapped pretty much all their defensive staff but Fangio as DC was they key. They added: Saquon Barkley Zack Baun CJ Gardner-Johnson Oren Burks Mekhi Beckton They gave new deals to: AJ Brown DeVonta Smith Jordan Maliata Landon Dickerson Reed Blankenship During Hurts taking over their draftees in the first 3 rounds each year have been: 2021 DeVonta Smith Landon Dickerson Milton Williams 2022 Jordan Davis Cam Jurgens Nakobe Dean 2023 Jalen Carter & Nolan Smith none Tyler Steen & Sydney Brown 2024 Quinyon Mitchell Cooper DeJean Jalyx Hunt Out of those draft there’s very few who aren’t key contributors or essential rotational players to their team. We need to hit on the people who possess the elite traits and college production. Coaching is a problem. But so are the players on the field. Need to be better all around and make appropriate changes if/when necessary.
