  1. Oh I’m with you bro, hence the point he’s above the quality he showed with the Jets. I think he’d have awesome numbers with Stafford in LA as he immediately takes the Kupp targets/role. Herbert? I think you’d be doing a disservice to the performance of McConkey last year as Adams has seen some of his best work bouncing in and out of the slot. Exactly like Ladd. Either way, yes. Following his buddies in the hope of greener pastures shouldn’t be his hat stand. A contender or somewhere that can accentuate his strengths is the smarter option.
  2. They were talking this morning on Sirius about his release and bet he follows Aaron Rogers to either New York Giants if he goes there. They joked about him following him back to the Raiders and how it’s like a spurned ex who’s moved on and got better. The talks are they probably wouldn’t allow that to happen unless extremely team friendly, so the other option/s that are being thrown around is a return to his hometown of Los Angeles via a Rams or Chargers signing. Will be interesting to see what happens as he is probably well above the quality he showed after signing with the Jets last season.
  3. The German kid, Kreig, is on the rise it seems.
  4. Agree For consistency, definitely Mario. Lived up to the contract.
  5. 75/25 Talent/Scheme Theres less you can do with the front standpoint as our “base” defense is nickel and not a traditional 4-3 where you can change the gap assignments in an under or over front. For that reason, it mainly falls on the talent lacking at the interior. However, with a consistent failing to make some changes in the personnel like he did during his Carolina days, I get it though as Taron is one of the best, makes it fall on scheme too. Still there was periods Taron was out and he kept it the same. During his Panther days he had Shaq Thompson as a hybrid safety in the same role Taron occupies. That in turn doubles back to the lack of talent to have freedom of assignment variations.
  6. Not saying it won’t because we aren’t even at the doorstep of the draft yet but man that is some insane talent in the first 4 picks. Definitely the first 3. Jemari Harris is a guy that I’m starting to like a lot the more I watch. Seems like he could be a solid boundary corner. The only thing I’m noticing is he lacks decent physical elements; strength and speed. For that area of the draft though, would be a perfect selection of those concerns translate to combine/pro day testing.
  7. Rice isn’t that much ahead of Shakir, if at all. Caleb Bullock would have been a nice addition but we’ll see where we are at with Bishop. Pick for picks, as is stands right now, id say we did solid. They’ve all produced somewhat where as the other group only has 2 players making any impact; Rice & Bullock. Legette, like you said is tbd.
  8. Jay “Brian” MoreMan
  9. There is nothing worse than complaining about what others enjoy. Lighten up.
  10. Trade, when healthy, our best LB when we’re likely going to make his job a whole lot easier if we upgrade the defensive line? That’s a no from me dawg.
  11. We chipping in? Recoup some of the Daniel Jones money?
  12. I hope we are rebuilding again!
  13. Well said, not a slight toward Darnold but his resurrection was a team effort. Absolute perfect scenario.
  14. You never know how any player will realistically pan out in the pros but that draft would be an absolute killer. Love the first 3 picks and Theo Wease in the 6th would be a quality steal, might turn into a decent deep threat. Going back to those first 3, they’re all top 50 talent in this draft, for me. Nabbing them all could catapult the whole defense to quality.
  15. A Darnold return, as unlikely as it is, would be hilarious.
  16. Id bet he gets money similar to Duggar or McKinney. 4 years @ $60-65m isn’t terrible by any means of his first few years become his regular play. The kid is a talented player and would easily remedy a lot of issues we had in safety spot since the duo you referenced. The problem then becomes the money you have going forward that is allocated in the secondary. You could almost guarantee a CB early in the draft if they acquire his services pre 04/24. That money is the only reason I’d rather them grab a guy like Bynum or Moehrig who probably get the $10-12m p/y and are still of quality. The other guy to keep an eye on is Hufanga. If the money is right ($10m or <) I wouldn’t mind them taking their chances on him, the only concern becomes his injury history.
  17. I don’t believe so. Last time I remember his name was he got traded then cut and put on the PS pretty much immediately after.
  18. He looked like a can of Campbells Chunky Soup the last few games lol Maybe he can join his naked brother on the rug next to the fire for a commercial!
  19. Absolutely. Him and Walker are physical specimens. Both of their issues is what most guys that size have a problem with; getting out leveraged. If they can learn to play with better pad level and use their size for their own leverage advantage, they could be seriously dominant. Anchoring their gap/s is a mostly a technique issue with men their size. Hopefully the coaching staff of Babich/Nielsen/West can make that a priority if they end up on this team.
  20. I’m in the camp of addressing the CB & DT needs first. Preferably the DT for the reason you said but more that if you hit it correctly it can absolve a lot of the issues in the McD/Babich schemes on the line and secondary. Obviously an injection of talent is needed in the backend with Douglas likely gone but I have faith they find a guy with one of their other picks between of 56, 62 or 107. Deon Walker and Alfred Collins are 2 of my favorite prospects right now on the DT front but will probably be going in or around the 2nd to 3rd round, at pre-combine. I believe one or both of them land into the conversations or late first early second rounders after the combine is concluded. If Harmon or Nolan are there at 30, I’d hope they strongly consider that selection too.
  21. Another awesome Children’s Story!!!
  22. Other than that bone headed INT in FG territory he, like you said, played a quality game. Cant complain about the selection. Not the only reason they won but certainly was key. Kid elevates himself in the Super Bowl in back to back appearances.
