  1. True. Still, he's been a huge part of our run D turnaround.
  2. Spikes was #1 on my FA wishlist. The dude is a monster. He's a huge reason we went from a multi-year bottom-of-the-league run defense to top 3 in a single season. Hell he might be one of the ONLY reasons. The run D personnel around him didn't really change from 2013. When you have a guy like that in the middle it makes everyone around him better. And he's been a lot better in coverage this year than in past years. I don't know where people are getting that he's "terrible" in coverage. And he's a natural leader. It says a lot that he was voted a Captain by his teammates his first year here on a 1-year contract. I think and hope that he'll be signing with us long-term after this season. His intensity elevates this defense.
  3. I'm not saying it's bad to have a guy like Spiller around, but if they can trade him for something that would help the team out more than having him around I'd be happy for the trade. I think a good guard or an upgrade at TE would benefit us more than having Spiller in there instead of Dixon or Brown.
  4. 3 out of 5 analysts in "Around the NFL"'s weekly picks picked the Bills to win this week. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000407937/article/around-the-nfls-power-picks-week-6
  5. Interesting... Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia · 3h3 hours ago Cyril Richardson taking first team reps at left guard despite Chris Williams being on the field. #Bills
  6. So who's turn is it to go to their hotel and pull the fire alarm at 2am the night before the game?
  7. I've always liked Spiller. But all this "they're not using him right" crap is getting old. If he was as great as people want to make him out to be, he'd find a way to make plays. You don't hear people complaining that guys like Forte, Lynch, Foster, Le'vian Bell, Murray, Gore, Freddie, Lacy, or McCoy "aren't being used right." They're getting their yards one way or another because they're good RBs. Some are elusive, some plow right through people, but they all find ways to be more productive than CJ Spiller. So CJ shows some elusiveness sometimes when he's got a lot of space. So what? How often is there a lot of space between someone with the ball and at least one defender in the NFL? He can't break tackles, he's bad at bouncing away from contact, and he's bad at hitting holes. It's almost like it takes a split-up from a defense for CJ to make a big play. Unless he can vastly improve how he's playing now I'd be fine with the Bills trading him for something we need more, like a good guard, a high draft pick, or an upgrade at TE. I would feel no less confident in our run game if it was Jackson, Dixon and Brown. And to be honest I'd rather see Dixon and Brown get more opportunities.
  8. Anyone that can't see how this year could very well be different is blind and using examples of games up to 10 years in the past to try and suggest that's what's likely to happen this Sunday is stupid.
  9. This. He has more experience with the Patriots' defensive lines, offensive lines, and the strengths and weaknesses of each than anyone that has ever been associated with the Bills franchise. It's almost impossible for that not to be an advantage to us.
  10. I did see that and I was worried it might set him back. Glad to see he's fine. That was actually one of his most impressive catches of the game imo. He barely caught the ball with the tip of the fingers of both hands and somehow held onto it like that after taking a huge hit to the midsection. I couldn't believe it.
  11. The Patriots SHOULD be worried. The past few years they've beat us by gashing us on the ground. It certainly wasn't Tom Brady that killed us. I'd like to see them try to put 200 yards rushing on this defense. This is the first game in over 10 years I feel like the Bills can and should actually blow out the Patriots. I was insanely impressed with the Dline in the Lions game, and that was in enemy territory. Being at home, with a super hyped-up crowd, playing their longtime divisional rivals who have embarrassed them for years? They should be even more dominant than they were in Detroit.
  12. Pepper Johnson was with the Patriots for over a decade. He knows them like the back of his hand. Don't be surprised if our Dline looks absolutely dominant this Sunday.
  13. I'd love to trade CJ for an above-average guard to replace Pears.
  14. What the hell would anyone want with Geno? Nobody is going to give up a first for EJ and Spiller. Now I WOULD be happy to trade Spiller for a above-average Guard. I think EJ will be a lot better now that he can mature out of the spotlight.
  15. Rich people have a ton of less rich but still wealthy people to worry about most of that stuff for them.
  16. Wow that's awesome news if they're all ready to play Sunday. Patriots are going down.
  17. They barely beat the Raiders in NE. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know I don't know what will.
  18. I personally hope everyone continues to dismiss this team all the way up until our playoff appearance.
  19. I love when all the experts pick our opponents to win. If it irks me the Bills never get any respect imagine what it does to the players themselves. Is it any wonder they've been knocking guys out of the game every week?
  20. No way he misses this game unless his spine is broken.
