  1. I'm not an offensive playcalling expert by any means, never have claimed to be. But this isn't the first time I've watched a Jets game this season and thought to myself "wow, they think of some DAMN clever ways to run the ball while still getting the ball to their playmaking WRs.

And then I think what guys like Watkins and Goodwin could do with plays like that and I find myself wondering why the hell we don't even try anything remotely as creative.

  2. Brown is looking like he has the potential to be Brandon Spikes Plus. He was billed as strictly a heavy MLB like Spikes, but his coverage skills have been surprisingly impressive enough to make him a 3-down LB, unlike Spikes. He could very well turn into a much better MLB than Spikes is, which is awesome because he's younger and locked into Buffalo for years.

    Bradham - Brown - Alonso

    Hughes - Dareus - K. Williams - M. Williams

^Will be the best front 7 in the league next year imo

  3. That plus i believe that all of Fitz's money is up. The Bills can resign Dareus and Hughes i think. They may need to restructure M. Williams deal some what.

Right now the Bills need to keep the 'strength' they have intact, Dline. Meanwhile try to build oline through draft.

Stevie Johnson's dead money will be gone next year too. I honestly think Pegula will shell out the money and pay ALL of these guys. We'll definitely have the cap space for it.

  4. The problem with Denver is that you're never going to "shut them down" no matter how good your defense is. They're beatable if your defense can do a good job at slowing them down AND you have an offense that can keep pace with theirs. I think that's a pretty tall order for the Bills. We've only really scored a lot of points on bad teams and have struggled to run up the score on good teams even when we're dominating the game.

Denver's defense is pretty damn good. We're not going to win that game kicking field goals all day.

  5. The only thing I can see as why this might be true, is the fact that this defense is playing together for one more year. There weren't many changes. None in the DLine. These guys are just playing well together and needed time to gem to their full potential.

I don't imagine this D with Kiko. I think he was overrated especially after about mod season last year. Not sure where he even fits in this D. Bradham has become a monster and of course Spikes is. Maybe Kiko plays the other OLB spot tue majority of the time but MLB on sure passing downs when Spiles is off the field.

On that note, I would like to add the must haves for the offseason:

    Dareus

    Hughes

    Spikes

All 3 need to be resigned.

I don't think Kiko was overrated. He's a tackling machine. Having a linebacker that can quickly diagnose plays and get to the ball is a great asset. He led the team in tackles last season, just like Preston Brown does this season. Having those two guys out there at the same time should shrink the field a lot for offenses looking for open spots on the field.

That's if Brown continues to grow and improve. Otherwise it'll be Bradham over Brown, but no way Kiko doesn't stay on the field all 3 downs. I actually like the idea of Bradham - Brown - Kiko without Spikes, but Brown goes in the middle not Kiko. Brown is a natural MLB and Kiko is more versatile so should be on the outside imo.

  6. Is anyone else pleasantly surprised that the Bills are on pace to break the franchise sack record again? I was almost certain going to Shwartz from Pettine would cause a drastic reduction in sacks, but it's been the opposite. Last season when they broke the record they had 37 sacks through 11 games. This season they have 46 after 11 weeks.

As much love as we gave Pettine last season, I think you have to admit Shwartz is hands down a better DC. He's improved almost every facet of the defense, and he doesn't even have Kiko out there.

  7. It's already well established that Tom Brady and/or Bill Bellichick sold their souls to the devil 15 years ago in exchange for their dynasty. How else would it be possible for a 6th round QB give you 14 straight years of Hall-of-fame-quality play while you get some of the luckiest plays and calls in all of football?

    Tuck rule?

Blocking the Jets' field goal on the last play of the game for the win?

    Witchcraft

  8. Seems like Marrone is playing the sympathy card about being at a disadvantage with the winter storm this week and not playing at home. This guy will do anything to keep his job but win games, hey Marrone maybe if you did not lose big games at home this year against San Diego/NE and KC fans & the media would have given you a pass on this one.If you want to know more about this loser then goggle SYRACUSE FOOTBALL in 2012. Everything fans are complaining about now about Marrone Syracuse fans were complaining back then.

Are you suggesting the Bills aren't losing an advantage by playing a home game in Detroit?

  9. Defensively, their corners get away with things that Gilmore gets whistled for every week. They are very good but they do get away with a lot as well.

More like their receivers are gifted with bull **** calls every game. The Patriots are ranked first in the league in receiving pass interference calls in their favor. Last season they were ranked 2nd. In 2012 they were ranked 2nd.

For a penalty that has the biggest impact on the game and can literally make or break Wins and losses, the Patriots sure seem to be awfully lucky with them.
