  1. Just goes to show how much off-the-field crap can effect a player. When he first got here he had all that crazy stuff going on with his ex-fiance and his head obviously wasn't in the game. I distinctly remember after that was all over with he had a good game after so many "meh" ones and a reporter asked him what changed. He said "I don't know man. All I can tell you is that I feel at peace now."

Ever since then he's been a monster. This season has been the best of his career by far.

  2. For the first time in a long time this team doesn't have a lot of needs imo. They should be able to spend all of their time and resources securing an upgrade at QB and hopefully Oline during the offseason. It looks like there will be several veteran options available. I doubt the Niners part with Kap, but I wouldn't mind having Jay Cutler. He's no HOFer, but with the WRs we have I think he could do a decent job. And that's all this team needs to be a playoff team: Decent QB play. We don't need a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning

I'm actually hoping they target Cutler specifically. I'd be too nervous with RGIII, plus I still have hope that EJ can turn into a much better QB if he continues to learn behind a veteran like Cutler.

  3. If the Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers all win next week we are out.

I'm not sure why you guys think we have the tie-breaker on Ravens. We do not. If they finish 10-6 they will have us on tie-breaker #3, best win% vs common opponents. They will be 3-2 while we are 2-3 vs Mia, Cle, Hou, and SD.

Would it be better for Cinci to beat Denver so when the Pats beat the Jets they clinch home field advantage, making their week 17 matchup against us a pointless game for them? I keep reading that the Pats don't rest their starters regardless so I guess it might not matter.

  4. The 2014 D not only didn't shut down Brady, but they allowed the Patsies to score on every 2nd half possession. They had no answer.

They haven't faced Manning and Rodgers yet, but of course we'll see how they fare in the next two weeks.

What I was asking was, why does the defense have to shut down those 3 QBs to be the best defense we've ever had? What other Bills defense could shut down those 3 QBs?

  5. Sure it's unlikely but it's not like it'd be crazy if it happened. I mean great teams lose to worse teams all the time. We're basically only talking about a few lucky bounces here and there. I'm certainly not going into this final stretch counting the Bills out. We just have to wait and see what happens.
