  1. Gruden loved EJ too. My mother used to say this to us when my sisters and I were kids back in the '70s and early '80s.
  2. I took my then college girlfriend to a Bills/Pats* game at Rich Stadium in 1987. I believe the Pats* ended the Bills' playoff hopes and two Sundays every fall have been contentious ever since!
  3. I've lived almost exactly half-way between Boston and NYC for the past 15 years and lived outside Boston for 10 years before that. Prime Pats*** and Jints country. Need I say more? Oh, and I have a Pats*** bride, though I keep her because her all-time favorite Patriot is Steve Grogan.
  4. BB, long time lurker that generally agrees with your posts... Give the kids a couple of years before you label them busts. Cheers and Merry Christmas.
  5. Are you a Bills fan or a troll with 2,500+ posts? Give the kid a break.
  6. I was listening to the Pats*** postgame show on the radio and they were poking fun at the Bills saying that Allen was horrible and that the Bills were going to have to pick another QB in upcoming drafts. I haven't seen the final stats but believe that he was better than Tommy boy statistically. No harsh words for Brady, however...
  7. I told my Pats*** fan co-worker to watch #55 get mugged on every pass play on Sunday and not be the beneficiary of one holding call.
  8. As a negative, the Pats*** signed Ramon Humber in mid-November and will have some insight into our defensive schemes and game-planning.
  9. Don't forget the immortal Hugh Millen ;-)
  10. I went solo to a game against the Chargers several years ago, though not by choice. I was going with my son, however he got sick and couldn't make the trip. I drove up solo from CT and partied with some old buddies from OP before the game, then watched the game from section 114. Met some really nice people.
  11. Watched it at a friend's house in Marblehead, MA. He is/was a Giants fan and we used to split a case of Rolling Rock longnecks while watching football.
  12. With all the great QBs over the years, I'd be surprised if this hasn't happened before the modern day "GOAT". Technology has just provided the means to hear what is happening on any given play.
  13. Between this story and what we have all read recently about Mr. Foster, this young man "gets it". What a great story. Kudos Robert!
  14. Actually looking forward to the game. No way that McD and the defense let Bortles beat them this time around. Allen will hold his own.
  15. Last night's game was the first time I had seen Mahomes play. I had read the articles and seen the talking heads raving about him but was skeptical. The kid can play. Two of the most respected defensive minds in the game over the past several decades have won their games against the Chiefs this year but could barely slow down the KC offense.
  16. Here come the "the Bills have one of the oldest rosters in the league" responses.
  17. MAJ and all Vets on this board - I cannot express the gratitude we feel for your service. THANK YOU!
  18. The D looked great today. I said in another thread that Shaq Lawson seems to be coming into his own and that bodes well for the future as well.
  19. Indeed, thanks to all for your service!
  20. ^ this. Add to that that the defense was legit today. I was skeptical based on their performance against McCown in NY last year. Good to see Shaq Lawson coming into his own.
  21. The Bills have had only one wide receiver over the past two years who looked like he wanted to catch the ball and they let him go... Deonte Thompson.
  22. Shaw - nice writeup, as always. I watch the games in a bar here in CT with a couple of younger guys I have met over the past couple of years. I told them yesterday this season reminds me of the Kay Stevenson / Hank Bullough years.
  23. ESPN was busy plugging their coverage of this weekend's college games at halftime and barely covered the Thurman ceremony. I watched it live on the Bills website.
