The Bills had a similar situation against Dallas and that turned out OK. Dallas' defense is currently ranked 8th (Pittsburgh is 5th) and allows an average of 25 yards and 1.9 points per game more than the Steelers' defense.
Completely agree with this post, especially with the last paragraph. I said to my wife during that drive, "wow, they are running it down the Ravens' throats", something that I had not expected given the pregame hype about how physical the Ravens are/were.
D goes to Dabol. The call to throw to Singletary in the flat after the Bills stuffed it down the Ravens' throats completely changed the complexion of the game. The offense wasn't the same after that play.
Scott - sorry to hear about the loss of your buddy. I've been through the same a few times and it sucks every time. If you're not familiar with the Rainbow Bridge poem, check it out.
Go Bills!!!
Watching those highlights sure brought back some memories. Cribbs, Fergie, Curtis Brown, Frank Lewis, Jerry Butler, even Phil Vilipiano with that weird padding around his neck... I loved watching those guys as a kid.
My sister, who is hosting this year and purportedly a Bills fan, didn't know the Bills are playing tomorrow and notified everyone that dinner will be served at 3:30pm (which means somewhere between 4:30pm and 5pm). When I informed her the about the game she said the plan is to eat at the same time and to confiscate everyone's phones/iPads etc, record the game and watch it after we finish eating.
He is merely espousing what most people outside of Buffalo think about the Bills and will continue to say until they start beating "quality opponents".
I saw one play in the first half where he just needed to fill the gap/hole and stuff the running back (Chubb on this particular play) but he ran into the backfield and Chubb easily sidestepped him and ran through the hole for a big gain.
